Listing Description:
Designed by master architect, Rex Lotery, FAIA, in 1959 and situated in the iconic Trousdale Estates, this mid-century masterpiece has been meticulously restored. Sparing no expense, design team Philippe Naouri and Eric Choi of Maison d'Artiste, in collaboration with Studio Tim Campbell, have fully reimagined this architectural treasure. Conceptualized for French actress Corinne Calvet in the 1950s and inspired by a chance meeting with Charlotte Perriand, Lotery pulled out every artistic stop in his design to honor and maintain mid-century minimalism. While he may never have imagined the modern luxuries that have been adapted to fill this artful space, he no doubt would approve of the current adaptation and precision of which has insured the integrity of the original design for years to come. 8,800 sqft of residential indulgence sitting on over half-an-acre of manicured landscaping inspired by Brazilian modernism, this home leaves no need unmet. Six bedrooms and eight bathrooms are surrounded by an abundance of amenities. A seamless kitchen, screening room, temperature controlled wine enclave, and zero-edge pool are among the indulgences that steep the energy of this space with modern luxury. The Calvet Residence offers the best of both worlds, historic and modern, which lends a living experience unparalleled by contemporary design.

At 10:46 when you mention the furniture showing the chaise longue chair; is the LC4 an iconic design by Le Corbusier F.A.I.A . "F" is for "fellow" (American institute of Architecture)

Oh my god - so that was the LC4 Le Corbusier! - Does F. A. I. A and A. I. A are the same thing?

@@JohnHoonLee A.I.A is an association of architecture then at some point you can be a "fellow" of that association so is like an "honor" inside there.

Thank you to show the house. Never understood why not the expensive houses etc in front of the Ocean or with Ocean views. Beverly Hills and all these other hoods are far away...

@@JohnHoonLee well; in most parts of the World Ocean views is what people want to have; even more in a city hence that always was strange for me

Beverly Hills is centrally located to anything you might want to do in LA, plus it is it’s own municipality with a great police force, and immediate response times. Try calling 911 in LA and you’re on hold for 20 minutes.

@@igottheshaft of course, I know that; but most neighborhoods (the expensive ones) around the World are in front of the Sea or Ocean or similar. That was what I wondered; why not developed that way decades ago.

Thank you for loading this video but you need to work on your commentary. The moment you speak reveals a complete lack of knowledge of the property, market, architecture and design, Even the things you see as talking points are either irrelevant or self-explanatory, Thank God for the mute button.

How is this iconic? Who is the architect? Seems like a high end renovation of a classic mid century modern home with most original features taken out. Some of the floors identified as concrete looked like original terrazzo. It feels like soul has been stripped. I would lean more towards 13 million, definitely not 23.

25 mil for this crap? Low af ceiling, nightmare security and privacy, 0 view, ugly staging. It’s still haven’t been sold after two whole years even with lower price. The developer is shameless if not stupid.
