I would add Kingdom Come Deliverance II (that's probably the release I'm most excited for) and there's at least two great games coming to PC for the first time this year. Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned. And I would also not be much surprised if Final Fantasy XVI and/or Red Dead Redemption 1 also got a PC release before the end of the year.

Appreciate you putting this together, nice to have it all in one spot. A lot more good looking games than I was expecting after the absolute banger of a year that was 2023!

I can't remember the last time i was excited about a RTS game, but Stormgate looks pretty dope!

If it changes anything, the devs seem to have really solid heads on their shoulders and the bits of monetization we've seen actually don't seem egregious. We'll see for sure when it actually releases, but the fact the devs hard-pivoted on a couple bad systems after player feedback in the last beta gives me a LOT of hope.

It’s fun but still has major issues and pvp is a complete mess so with it coming out in a month I don’t think it’s a good idea with the amount of work it still needs, also very likely to just be a ptw rip off as well.

Seeing your alive well and thriving after all this time made me beyond happy force found you on the game station podcast probably over a decade ago probably watched everything you put out in Your hearthstone phase just felt like typing this essay even if you don’t see this just know your loved dude got a lot of random ppl happy to see you doing well

Im with you on First Descendant. I played the beta, felt a bit bland, but the chars were great. If it can get a decent end-game and isnt monetized to hell like Lost Ark style, I think it can survive.

KCD 2 and Ghost of Tsushima 2 are both coming this year right...? Though I guess GoT will be a PS exclusive.

I decided to check out Pax Dei EA. Alpha 2 was a relaxing/chill experience with gathering and building. I'm not 100% sure what else to expect but I thought what the heck, it's the price of one delivery meal. I know I'll get more than enough playtime out of it.

I wish no rest for wicked was further in development. Its so good

It's the best year in my adult life for gaming for me! so many rpgs, mmorpgs and survival/crafting games

It's going to be a good second half for me. I’ve got a few games already queued up; I am in the middle of Banishers and Rise of the Ronin. Then Still Wakes the Deep, Alone in the Dark, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. I think one or two of these will jump the line, though. I most I am very interested in: - Black Myth - Star Wars: Outlaws - Warhammer - Avowed - Stalker 2 - Silent Hill 2 - Bloodlines 2 - AC: Shadows I want to play the Elden Ring DLC, but I’ve had to accept that I am one of those people who will likely never get back to a game for the DLC.

Elden Ring Expansion and Avowed are the two I am looking forward to the most! Also excited for Indiana Jones, Age of Mythology & the new Flight Simulator to. For games further down the road I cannot wait for Clockwork Revolution, Path Of Exile 2, Gears Of War E-Day, Perfect Dark, Fable and ARMA 4 :)

Stalker 2 most awaited ever for me. A unique Survival RPG experience.

My only thing with the last descendant is I wish I could make my own character then use one of their classes 😁👍

Imo 2024 isn't that bad for gaming: Dragon's Dogma 2, Tekken 8, Final Fantasy Rebirth, (WoW SoD) and very soon FFXIV Dawntrail! I'm also kinda hyped for Space Marine 2. I need more time to play all these titles!!!

Dragons Dogma 2 wa such a let down though.. The story and characters were somehow more bland and even more forgettable than the first. The game feels like its in alpha/beta. The unmoored endgame is horribly done, the combat is fun but not challenging at ALL I had to use mods to give enemies 3x more HP, and purposefully use beginner weapons. There's quite literally no treasure/items to find out in the world or in the dungeons. The enemy variety is so bad that you basically fight the same enemies for the entire game. I am soo disappointed with it, Capcom aren't even patching it. Hideaki lied about so many things that would be in the game that aren't it feels like they cut 40% of the game out to sell it as the DLC later.

No More Room In Hell 2 (October), even though it'll be an early access, looks like it's gonna be pretty damn cool! But yeah, along with that, Stalker 2 & Wild Bastards are my most anticipated.

A small note for Avowed: it's no longer exclusively first person. They said a 3rd person mode is also planned.

Don't get the hate for First Descendent. I enjoyed playing it quite a bit and had none of the gripes you had. Also, Nexon hasn't put out a live service game in awhile, if the cash shop they had in the beta is any indication it will be similar to Warframe. Whether or not you consider Warframe heavily monetized or p2w is a whole different story.

Concerning Outlaws: I take it 4K/60 is on a beefy PC. I am curious as to console resolution and performance on Series X/S and PS5. We do know they're targeting 60, and I imagine it will have dynamic resolution scaling like their Avatar game did. In any case, I can't wait!

There’s actually just been announced so many new games by Xbox and theres actually been quite a few good games this year. V rising for ps5, dragons dogma 2, Helldivers 2…there’s so many more coming I’m looking forward too like path of exile 2…shit even black ops 6 looks sick with the Helldivers 2 movement plus some.

I am surprised you didn't mention kcd2? Isn't that supposed to release this year? Otherwise thank you for the list, not much besides KCD2 and Stalker 2I am looking forward to, but I had a few pleasant surprises this year, maybe we will get some others too.

You have to add Path of Exile 2! It's going early access in late 2024. My candidate for the best ARPG of all time (once it fully releases in 2025).

I feel like we can separate open world games from MMOs just for the sake of simplicity. MMOs are very different and have a different type of open world than single player open world games. Just my opinion.

All this means little to me with FFXIV DawnTrail coming out officially next month on the 3rd, and Early Access 6/28. Kinda surprised wasnt on the list, as it is a major release. I will def though be checking out the d4 expac as by then the hype of DT should of simmered for me.
