In my opinion a solo player shouldn't be able to build a castle of anything of that nature, same goes for crafting items that require input from multiple leveled professions. I hope they keep it this way, drastically improve the combat and storage system.

and still people don't appriciate what throne and liberty is doing and the massive changes the new content pre-release and the removable of p2w , ppl still dont see how NCsoft is treating a triple AAA mmo that is working lfuid with out bugs and not in early access and free to play. we are doomed as a community :)

They said money to help development and they're getting ready to need testing larger social systems and need the larger base. I can get 1. But they should have waited for one of these systems ready to start testing. Because building is about all you can really do so far. The plot and price tier stuff is blown out of proportion. That's a lot of bad reviews too, saying it's p2w. Im having fun, let's hope a big update is closer than anything. EDIT: Storage is a joke in this. Will totally agree.

I'm good man. As much as I want a traditional MMO, an MMO that requires botting *AND* real-world cash shop purchases to be "competitive" is not a traditional MMO. That's an Asian MMO, and I hate those almost universally.

im really cool with almost all the changes, but i was hoping for at least a little open shared world stuff. co op is still ok. i feel like this is still a game you would want to share with friends. this would be a fix for all the other mmo out there with all the cash shop reliance though. god tier update with cost of social stuff not the worst, just wish was a way to keep the social stuff.

Why isn't ghosted human getting so much backlash as assassin's Creed shadows there was no such thing as ninjas historically there was really no such thing as ninjas but here you are running around as a samurai trying to be a ninja so why is assassin getting so much hate but ghost gets so much praise

Thats a really scewed view on things. People that bought the steam version already knew the game was terrible at launch, so having a surge on that platform means almost nothing.. You start crazy low and make a few positive changes, obviously theres a few more people joining in, and youll reach a new peak. And you cant just upscale it and expect the game in its entirety to be anything close to that surge. The game in its current state, is nearing what the game shouldve been released as. And still D2 is a better game in some aspects. But crazy cinematic for next expansion, hoping itll be good..

The grind may be bad. Compared to pre age of shadows Ultima online this is easy mode. Combat does such, but it's not so bad that I'd rather play wow.

Looks pretty good ngl, I liked the idea of Secret World and this seems to be taking that direction as well. With lots of quality of life, vehicles, crafting, interesting mechanics. Will be checking it out for sure. I'd rather it be b2p because if it's free definitely going to be pay 2 win. But whatever

I think the buggest dosconnect is people compare it to other games that its not like. Its meant for people who like to be social, and who like the feeling of there hard work paying off in the end. Its not a flash in a pan, its not meant to be easy, your not meant to be a master of a craft after a day, a week, or even a month. As someone who loved Life is feudal, this game is great.

Great review. Honest and direct. The suggestions are spot on. I enjoy the game. Disagree about harvesting feeling shallow. Its pretty satisfying. Also, it's a crafting game: its intended to be slow. You can as a solo player or duo get a lot completed in 24-30 hours. But the goal is long term investment into a virtual world. Worth reading the Pax Dei development blog. Think Star Citizen and EVE online. But again, the suggestions here to round out this game and the priority are well said here. Thank you!

I 100% agree with this, people told them about combat with the first alpha, then the second alpha people insisted it would be bad to release this to steam without more fleshed out combat, we give them a list off small to change QOL, Like moving things around with unlocks, changing the progress a little to be more accessible. We got nothing, they said the only thing they would be doing for EA on steam is fixing bugs..... I mean, complex crafting, good, armor, weapons all good, but for what? to go out and play that complete garbage combat game? There is not a big competitive guild on this earth that would grind this game for that combat experience. O and to the solo players who may not mind the combat, don't even bother as you arnt included in the calculations, to do anything in this game takes multiple people, and I don't even mean you and a friend, I mean an army.

The only fully realized planets I can think of would be Star Citizen and maybe Elite Dangerous??? (Not sure how the landing mechanics in Elite Dangerous work, just know that the open world is thorough)

I don't care about P2W. Know why? Because there would still be a power discrepancy between a group of players: The no-lifers and the average player. The only difference is that the P2W aspect gives the average players a means to keep up with the people who will no-lífe, min-max, and be stronger than you anyway. I choose to just not engage in P2W, I play casually, and if you're stronger than me then whatever. I'll care about losing when I get to a progression point where I feel like I should be competitive. How much PvE can I enjoy along the way? That's all I care about.

why are people still getting this hyped for obvious garbage mmos? every 2 months theres footage for a new one and every youtuber is acting like 'this is it guys, the new pinnacle of mankind' and once its playable theyre like 'guys dont play this game. its a scam. and also pay2win'. we're actually back to these youtubers bringing back the meme 'wow killer'. just play wow. even at its worst i.e. wod, bfa and shadowlands its still better.

I've never been a fan of how they let you access DLC that you already paid for. You can spend money and get 0% out of it because you aren't good enough. I beat the base game and said "Finally, I'm done."
