He’s a fighter he’s always been a fighter my step sisters nephew used to babysit Dylan Larkin when he was young and supposedly her nephew taught him everything he knows on the ice now. What’s also ironic is that my family’s last name is Larkin so I feel connected to Larkin more then the others every time someone gets my last name they ask me if I’m related to him and I just tell them he’s a long lost cousin of mine that I’ve never got the chance to meet yet but if I did I’d tell him to stay strong at a time like this ✊🏼❣️LGRW

Detroit had 3 two-goal leads in this game and at one point a 3 goal lead. Ya gotta close it out don't give em that life especially in division. That being said. Happy for 2 points and happy Dboss is back. Im so sorry for what happened to him and his wife that is a heart-breaking loss and I hope they recover well from it

To be fair - Kostin should have been awarded a goal on that crashing the net play. Puck was in way before Kostin made contact with the goalie. And DeBrincat took a phantom hooking call on an incredible backcheck that allowed Suzuki to score - but this team definitely folded in the third period trying to preserve the lead the way they would when Blashill was the coach, that definitely can’t keep happening.

Watching Awood40's reel and watching Sports Net's or the NHL reels, you'd think they were two different games! Awood's shows the penalties, non-calls, and that horrible no-goal, no penalty shot, no-call on Kostin! The boys allowed the Habs to claw back into this game, but the real juice came from the refs! A few horrible calls, a few blown missed calls, and BAM, a straight 2 point game goes to OT. But a W is a W! LGRW!!

This team is reminding me of 08. Some young guns, some seasoned vets w cups. As a lifelong participant at all 3 positions (mostly tendee) I see a tenacious attitude to bring that intensity with Discipline to every game from this squad.Maybe not for a full 60 minutes like they hope for but we are still growing. Add Kane to this bunch and I'm telling you we got a recipe for something special. Lots of finishers on this roster. Kane will feast. Goaltending needs to be more consistent. I believe in this team though. LGRW

For as lethal as this team is at even strength and on special teams - they would be even deadlier if they could figure out how to enter the offensive zone cleanly, especially on the powerplay. The pp numbers are definitely improved but Alex Tanguay still has this team playing extremely sloppy hockey on the powerplay until they get set up. A new pp coach has got to be a major priority for this team next season

I try not to be that guy who claims the refs robbed his team. Kostin crashing the net at 5:58 wasn't a good goal, I get it. But that penalty to DeBrincat at the 7:42 mark... I don't know. That one felt like the refs were trying to give Montreal a chance to catch up.

Holy shit that trip on Kostin's breakaway is BAD. Absolutely AWFUL non-call, and I wouldn't have known about it if not for you Awood! The NHL loves to BURY that stuff from their highlight reels. Should be a penalty shot, at least. Edit: Actually almost every call highlighted following that was bad. The noncall for retaliation for Fabbri's check? The hook called on DeBrincat for pinning a stick? Seriously? That's called playing hockey. Pussy shit right there.
