@@budb.8560 What's funny is that I drove for years without a license. Not because I couldn't get one, just because I'm lazy procrastinator lol. When I drove without a license, I made sure to be very aware of my surroundings and drive very defensively. The last thing I wanted was to get in an accident, even if I wasn't at fault, or get pulled over by cops. I think it's pretty ironic that illegally driving actually made me into a great driver. I did finally get my license after realizing I'd have to show up at the DMV to renew my ID (once every 10 years). Hehe.

You’re right. In my state as long as you get your license before your court date, they will dismiss the charges. You can also just ask for a continuance to give you more time to get it. If you can’t get your license then just pay the fee and court costs. It isn’t that much.

Make it illegal to be on a phone during a traffic stop. Her mom is just as bad as her daughter. Letting her drive her car, knowing she hadn't got a licence ( unless she lied about having one to everyone). Her mother was not exactly a role model - in that respect, she really screwed over her kid. So many of these folks have no idea how to interact with cops - think they can get their parents to intervene, run because they are "scared", etc. I don't think many of them were ever sat down and told how to deal with cops. Yeah, there are bad cops, but most will return respect with respect.
