22-Year-Old Learning Her Lesson the Hard Way

Ойын-сауық

#cops #police #arrest
On January 19th, 2023. An officer was on patrol when he observed a woman who made an illegal turn after failing to obey a traffic control device. Upon conducting the traffic stop & running her license, he found out that her license had been suspended. When the officer made her aware that she had a suspended license, she became argumentative. The officer offered her a chance to call her boyfriend to come pick up the car but she got upset and started mumbling words under her breath, causing the officer to call a tow truck. This is footage of the events that followed.

Five bucks says she won’t show up to court, and she won’t renew her license. Then, when she gets pulled over again, she’ll act surprised.

Yeah that fool actually said I can't go to court. It's on my birthday. She's definitely emotionally slow. She was acting like she had a choice. Like you said she probably didn't show up and it will be the same excuse when she gets caught that no one told her.

I agree that in the beginning, she was a little rude/defiant. I'm in NO way defending her actions, as she could have prevented ALOT of this had she just listened. However, all in all, this is one instance where I am kind of on her side about how all of this went down! The officer TOLD her to call someone to have her car picked up so it wouldn't be towed. She DID just that and told them CONSISTENTLY that he was only 10 minutes away! But THEN when he IS on his way, you tell her, "We're passed that". Wow. I agree she could have prevented most of this by just cooperating fully, but these police officers could have prevented this as well by letting her boyfriend pick her car up, which is what they TOLD her to arrange to have done! And she DID IT! I'll be the first to say it, I didn't think he was going to show up in the amount of time she kept stating. I sincerely believed she was just stalling for no good reason, but he DID show up! He clearly LEFT work, as he is in uniform, and went out of his way, probably rushing to get there, to pick her car up, which THEY requested! Instead, he gets there and you treat HIM like a criminal/threat! If they had ANY decency, they would have at the very LEAST, let him pull her car off the road into a parking lot, or somewhere he could park it lawfully, temporarily, so it wasn't obstructing traffic, and then arrange to have it picked up! And the first officer on the scene, when his sergeant, lieutenant, coworker, whoever he is, asked him what happened, he told a VERSION of what had happened. But watching that part of the video back over again, he wasn't 100% honest in my opinion.

Anything that’s inconvenient for her is “disrespect”. Knew a guy in high school who totaled three cars before he turned 21; he constantly claimed that the speed limits were “predatory” because he liked to “drive to feel alive”, and the cops were all asshats who liked to pick on people with really nice cars. This dude was convinced that all law enforcement inside of Sedgwick County, KS (pop. ~535K at the time) worked together to pick on specific people they felt “threatened” by (their masculinity, not their physical safety), and also insisted to anyone who’d listen that cops only pull over cars they’d hope to buy at auction once they’re seized and forfeit. These people are so egocentric that they genuinely believe they should be allowed to drive anything they want, anywhere they want, in any fashion they want, and as long as they’re not actively trying to hurt somebody they still feel the laws are illegal and the cops can’t touch thumb without getting sued. Drives me nuts. I hope we can start passing laws to require more stringent enforcement of license revocations (and other things). Something like randomized spot checks of social media to see if Joe’s out drinking when he shouldn’t be, or the occasional surveillance to see if known gang members are still up to their old habits. Whatever happens, we cannot let the youngest generation grow up and move into middle management without making drastic changes in the meantime.

I don't understand these young black women. Its not only dangerous, but its just plane stupid. Time after time, minor traffic violations go from 0 to 100, all because of these attitudes. BLM has put the mojo in these women and for some reason they get on this tangent of their "rights"?????? You have the right to comply and shut up. Blacks should get down on their hands and knees and thank God for Police Cameras....without them, these pull overs could be bad, simply bc of these attitudes. I love our cops and yes we do have some bad ones, but for the love of God, just comply and be nice

When a person won't stop talking because they want to confuse the situation, or they just want to hear their own voice speak, they aren't going to hear what the other person is saying, so therefore they're not going to get any sense out of the other person.😮

Yeah, to me it's just "if you do x, y is gonna happen, if you don't want y to happen, don't do x". I think some people just hate cops/authority figures, and in any interaction with them start off by thinking the cop is just doing this because they don't like them personally, so then they have this additives that really just leave them one road to go down, and that's conflict with the authority figure.

While I would hope this whole thing would be a learning experience for this girl on what NOT to do when on a traffic stop, the fact that she was ultimately let go will probably just reinforce her behavior & she'll do the same thing if she ever deals with the police again. I just can't believe the appalling behavior of so many of the current younger generation. They are perpetual children who have a complete lack of respect, unbelievable levels of defiance, inflated egos, & the complete inability to cope with anything that doesn't go their way.
