The in case of emergency page is a good idea, but as a paramedic, may I suggest one-up? Make this page detachable somehow, or write it on an index card or similar, and place it in a marked envelope. Many people put this info on their refrigerator for easy access, and in case of a medical emergency, all you have to do is give medics the card with the person’s medical info on it. This way we don’t have to spend time on the scene writing stuff down when we can be spending that time treating the patient and/or getting on the way to the hospital.

I’m 80 and I just started my first Bullet Journal in September of this year. Thank you for so many tips. A page I really liked was one I called “Monthly Memories”. I also like one I made called “Random Things to Remember”. Other favorites was my “Christmas Gift List Ideas” and Inspirational Poems or writings. I plan on adding a page for a family tree of hearts to indicate if I’ve made a meaningful connection with a loved one during a month, for example.

The most useful thing I set up, that isn't in my monthly spread, is a car log. It's a recording of everything I need to remember about my car. So it has things like when I got an oil change, when my tires were last rotated, when I had to get a new car battery, how long my warranties are, etc.

Thankfully, there's nothing too complicated about it for me. I had a bad injury as a kid. Physical therapy couldn't happen. My kneecap is permanently somewhat out of the socket and my knee has Osteophytes and microfractures everywhere. The surgeon said I need a replacement but I'm too young. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Walking with a cane helps. I'm just buying time until surgery is possible. But I think tracking pain would be helpful along with diet and exercise. Good luck to you. I hope you find the answers and solutions that you need.

In 2022 I'm dedicating a page or two titled WHEN? It will have two columns and categories. Last time we each had dental appointments, physicals, etc., home maintenance (e.g., furnace serviced), and car maintenance. The left hand column will have the last time and the right hand column will have the date it should be scheduled. This way I don't have to flip through the whole planner to find them.

These were some great ideas! I've been thinking about experimenting with some removeable or flip-out pieces in my 2022 journal. My most out-of-the-box spread that I use, regularly in fact, is one that I have never seen anyone else include - what I call my "this to that" spread. I moved from the US abroad a few years back. So it's just a page of conversions, for temperatures, weights, sizes, even recipes. I also include a tracker for the exchange rate between my two major currencies - USD and my local one, a stat I find both entertaining and important.

I am starting to prep my pages for a new 2022 journal. I am doing a menopause tracker. Two pages, all 12 months, 4 symptoms - mood, insomnia, hot flashes and if I have a period. It will be useful for my medical professionals at future visits. I am also doing a mind map. Again, a 2 page spread. A bubble in the middle with "Me" in it. Then 4 topics coming out like spokes on a wheel. Monthly, I'll add to those topics, color-coding the months. So health, home, finances, and work related.

The detachable yearly tracker is a great idea. What I do when starting a new journal is include only six months of everything: future log, birthdays, holidays, trackers, etc. This way I don't have to go back to the first half of the year journal to follow up with these items. Your videos are always so full of ideas! Thanks, Jess.

I have a reading log pasted inside the front cover of my bujo set up to look like those old library cards (the ones found in the books) that I list out what books I'm reading, who they're by, and when I started and finished the book. Each of the cards represents one month and, at the end of the month, I move the card to the corresponding monthly spread. I did it this way because, while I love a good reading challenge, sometimes I just want a simple log for any given month.

Great ideas Jashi! Thanks. In all my Bullet Journals I have Order Tracker Spreads. This helps me keep track of what I have received and what is coming. My Order Tracker: column 1, Date Ordered/Date Received; col 2, Retailer/Order #; col 3, Item(s)/Price; col 4, payment method. My Order Tracker has come in handy sooooo many times. What I love about this video is that it reminds me that bullet journaling can be visually appealing without being over-the-top flashy while also helping you to be productive (really, the main goal behind a planner). So many of the bullet journals out there are stunning! But that's the problem. I feel overwhelmed and begin to compare the spreads I create to pages I see online, and I feel like my work isn't good enough. But these layouts are a huge reminder that my journal can still look good yet take a minimalist approach (Like Miss JashiiCorrin's journal) while staying true to the journal's very reason for existing: helping me to be productive. Thank you for a wonderful video. New subscriber!

I have a several months long pain tracker, but it's more detailed than that. I track ovary pain, migraines, ovarian cysts bursting, and it also has period tracking and 'fun times' tracking. It's helpful to see it all on one tracker to determine if there's any patterns. I find it so useful, even if the thing I'm tracking absolutely sucks. I also have a spread for things to put in my book of shadows and one from when my husband and I went through a rough patch, the commitments we made to each other to make improvements in our relationship and give ourselves the best shot possible.

Brilliant ideas, Jess! I'm glad I stumbled on this video for inspiration for my new journal! One section I have added to it is for dreams. I will try to write down the little bits I remembered no matter how ridiculous or nonsense they are. I noticed on the ‘emergency’ page there is a field for your blood type, which caught my eye right away!! 😊 I’m a Medical Laboratory Scientist (or Biomedical Scientist in some countries) -- we do blood typing, among MANY other medical diagnostic things 😉. Your blood type is definitely useful to know and I want everyone to be aware that if you ever donate blood, or need to have a blood transfusion, the medical staff cannot take your word for it. We will still collect a sample to confirm what your ABO and Rh type are plus whether you have any antibodies the blood bankers need to be concerned about.

Thanks for this, just going to start my first journal and feeling a bit overwhelmed 😂 I’ve been drafting out some ideas of what I want to do but not 100% sure its going to work, we shall see. I’m no artist and hate lots of handwriting, I’m getting arthritis and my hands lock up so I was planning on doing a lot on my pc then printing and glueing or inserting those pages so along the lines of your removable tracker I guess. I have bought a spiral bound journal to make it easier to add bits (I also want it to be a sort of art journal too so I can add card layouts or new techniques and these would be stuck in for the most part. ). A lot of my page spread ‘artwork’ will be stamps, dies or stencils too. I’m excited but nervous lol, so thanks again for all the great ideas

i'd love to add the 7th idea. the "then and now" although i don't think i have enough pages in my new bullet journal.. i have yet to get a bank account for me, so my savings go to my mother's account, and fore that i have a "banl balance" half spread, where i log in adds and deducts as they come, so that i know exactly how mych i have in savings, and where my money goes or come from. another spread i add, is a "wotk tracker" i work with a few teachers, and usually payments happen at the end of a semester, so i have a "credit account tracker" where i list the dates with all i've done, and the respective amount.

For your 22 22's in 2022...what does that mean? I get 22 pounds or books or whatever in 2022. But, I don't understand the second 22. I love all of your ideas and setups. The key and page setup flip outs are genius! Using washi for pages that keep going is great also. I normally have more than one bujo (main, collections, etc) because of this but your ideas will probably save me from that.

It's 22 different things that you're planning to do 22 times in 2022. So 22 pounds _and_ 22 books and 20 other 22-times things. It's pretty ambitious, I think it works best for someone who isn't overly perfectionist about actually forcing themself to complete it all XD

I have a online shopping tracker to make sure I do receive everything I order. It has name of shop, items bought, date of purchase, expected date of delivery, actual date of delivery. Once it's delivered, I highlight the line so I know order is received. I helps visualizing the ones I'm still waiting for.

I think I've finally understood why so many people need the grid pages when I usually use my ruler... it's because the grid is in centimetres, as my ruler, while most American users have rulers in inches, that don't fit the dot grid. I'm sorry guys, but if you try using a ruler in centimetres you'll spare a lot of time!
