Disney has always brought amazing fairy tales and story to theatres and our homes alike. As children and adults, we get different messages from the classic films. Disney has planted great hidden and secret messages throughout their films that surely kids won’t get. Parents can watch their movies and see a deeper meaning than youngins can. The long list of incredible classics such as, “Snow White,” “Cinderella,” “Jungle Book,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Beauty and the Beast,” and “Bambi” all have secret messages throughout the stories.
What does “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and “Moana” have in common messages about who we are? Is “Frozen” keeping Elsa from revealing her true self? What is the political message in “The Incredibles” and “Toy Story 2”? The directors of “Coco” share their secrets from the film, while “101 Dalmatians” teaches parents a simple lesson about pets. “The BFG” has a secret personal connection to Roald Dahl and “Lilo and Stitch” has a sad secret revolving around a peanut butter sandwich and Pudge the fish. “Hercules” may be avoiding a deep issue in Greek Mythology and “Tangled” has a secret plot point that makes Gothel’s death impossible! As for “Finding Nemo,” “Aladdin,” “The Lion King,” “Aladdin and the King of Thieves,” and “Zootopia.”
Watch this video as we reveal all the secret messages in Walt Disney’s films that kids won’t get! See how many you may have picked up and new ones to look for on your next watch! Let’s fly off on our magic carpet and begin!

Um. Okay, first off. THBON was not supposed to be romantic. In the original story, Quasimodo never saw Esmeralda as a love interest, but a mutual friend that was not accepted into society because of their appearance in that era. Because Quasimodo was a hunchback, and because Esmeralda was a gypsy, they were both seen as outcast, a monster and a witch. But both had a heart of gold and were nothing like they were portrayed as. The whole point of the movie was to show that diversity was accepted and appearance does not define who someone is as a person.

Actually there was a full musical scene with the gargoyles that showed Quasi did fall in love with Esmeralda because she was the only person to show him kindness and then there is a scene where he was going to give her flowers but saw her kissing the guard and got his heart broken because he saw that she loved the guard and not him...just saying

In both the original book and Disney's Quasi loved Esmeralda. The biggest difference. In the book Esmeralda loved him back. Disney decided to give her a strapping white dude to love instead. Also in the book. She dies and Quasi grieves her body as he holds her. Disney...she lives and goes off with the white dude.

Lol, the only thing I thought when watching that scene was "of course they won't let him get the girl, he is ugly". It's not about being a good guy, or not. It was pretty obvious that ALL of the disney princesses and their partners look good. Even Beast has a handsome human form. Disney wouldn't be able to stomach itself if they let a below-average main character get a pretty/handsome partner. After all Quasimodo did for the girl, one would think that she would fall in love with him. Nope. Too ugly, better grab the handsome guy. Great message.

@@SuperSkyhorse @SuperSkyhorse I feel you, that's the type of messages Walt Disney was trying to give us percpective and understanding of, as its about bettering ourselves as pure as possible but just as Alice said at the start 'nothing would be as it is because that would make everything what it is not' she is literally telling us our minds are not using our full power in our brains because life is highly complex. That is why it was easier for the beautiful character to choose something at face value, even though she wanted someone to help/support her which is the base or foundation of love!!!!!!!

I agree it partly, doesn't mean she should choose 'the hunchback of notre dame' to be inlove with, but we should try to always remember how much love is important in the world and how it has a huge affect on a person when it's in its truest intention especially when she had her life saved by someone who was revered as someone ugly because of his features yet he was not bitter on the fact she was looked as a good looking person !!

Seemed more like Frozen was making two separate points. 1. She didn’t want or need a man in her life (breaking a common theme that Disney princesses always need to be saved by a man) 2. True love doesn’t just mean something romantic. There are other types of love, and the obsession with romantic love is a little overplayed. The entire movie downplayed romantic love. Especially in the fantastical movie sense that we have always seen it. To me, it’s a much more inspiring message to kids that their worth isn’t found through having a partner

Okay, the whole "good guys finish last" interpretation of Hunchback of Notre Dame is gonna lead to more "nice guys" feeling entitled to romance and sex just because they're acting friendly. A better message would be "being the hero doesn't always mean you'll get the girl, and that's okay" or that "what you initially want isn't always what you truly need" Like, even when Quasimodo knows that he has no chance to be in a romantic relationship with Esmeralda (because she's her own person and makes her own decisions), HE STILL SAVES HER not because he's expecting anything in return, but because he cares about her and knows that it's the right thing to do. And he isn't bitter at all towards Phoebus (who Esmeralda ends up with). He's not resentful or angry that the woman he wanted to be with ended up with someone else, he even gives them his blessing. He's HAPPY for her, that's what he truly wants at the end is for Esmeralda to be happy regardless of his own feelings for her. Sure, he didn't get the girl in the end, but what he DOES get is freedom from the abusive guardian who raised him and acceptance and support from the people, which is what he needed and frankly deserved anyway thanks for coming to my TED talk

Sometimes you don't get the girl but you still can get your happy ending through your own personal growth, y'know the part where he still attempts to warn the gyspys, saves Esme and stands up for himself to Frodo long after Esme gets with Phoebus. And if you care about a girl who you have a crush on too you can still support her without "waiting in the wings" especially if she's a significant part of your life as a friend. If you can't, you aren't really her friend and should leave her alone.

The original book was actually focused more around gothic architecture, promoting against demolishing Notre Dame, by exploring what the building ment to the different character. Expressing we shouldn't get rid of history in which we should embrace it. Accepting it into future society's even if it's different.

So if Nemo is dead then how come he didn't have grief about his other kids and wife but just Nemo?

maybe because nemo was all he had left? not saying this is true, but it’s my best guess. he was clearly very protective and smothering of nemo. and maybe after loosing him, he knew he nothing left anymore? and then obv he grieves and later comes to term with it and moves on.
