Theory 11; Ego’s apparent mother. This doesn’t seem to be a well established theory. Simply to connect the flashback that Ego has and comparing it to the beginning scene using common household items as evidence, doesn’t really suggest that the old lady is Ego’s mother. A better way to establish that the old lady is his mother could be correlated through the house’s interior and the open farm lands how Ego’s flashback is similar (if not the same) as the old lady’s home. Perhaps with some of these theories maybe give some evidence or a link where these theories are from. Because some are just bad without proper elaboration.

Personally I think the toilet seat was themed AFTER Sully’s fur, not made FROM it. The purple spots are WAY too small and a much darker color than Sully’s, also the teal fur is WAY too bright, and the texture looks more like carpet then fur. (Timestamp 9:45 , there’s a picture of Sully directly before as well.) If ya think about it in a more lighthearted way, I see the toilet seat cover as an iconic merch item for the famous polka-dotted monster who changed relations with humans from fear to joy. Because you can’t tell me Sully and Mike wouldn’t have merch. Especially Sully.

They're suggesting that one other character is a hallucination, which is undermined by the fact that the hallucination interacts with other characters. To theory 10: Actually Andy's dad died from cancer (I think it was cancer, maybe another illness). And there are plenty of photos of him. The photos along the stairs are of him, not Andy. There are differences that tell us it is Andy's dad. And it is confirmed actually.

@@Amy-nl7sf I do agree with that theroy. I am from a family who has had family serving in the US Military all the way back to it just beginning. When you have family serving you don't know where they will be sent. I am unsure what year this takes place in but is entirely possible that Andy's father died over seas. And the reason his mother never wears her wedding ring is it may be to painful for her look at same reason for the pictures.

If you look closely, at 14:42 from A Bugs Life, the same exact trailer in the same location (also with the Pizza Planet truck) appears when Randall is sent through the final door at the end of Monsters Inc (14:57 if you're curious). This further supports the theory that these are interconnected

There needs to be a Pixar movie where the Pizza planet truck is a centerpiece. Pixar hass basically been teasing us with this for decades. It's time for the trailer for the movie. Sure we could assume Marlin just goes into lala land while imagining what Nemo might be up to, but that really doesn't explain how the other fish from the dentist's office gather the courage to escape.

When I was a senior in high school I didn’t a program where I took college courses on a college campus but most of them were done in one room by a teacher the local BOCES. She had a bachelors in English with a masters. In education and she did her masters thesis on the frozen and how it’s connected through other Disney princesses and the original stories of them from history 😂… imagine getting a masters where you spent your time researching Disney and historical versions of frozen!!!

The bit about Bug's Life and colonialism isn't a fan theory, it's an allegory. Literally the whole message of the film.

5:31 Car's is a spiritual sequel to Maximum Overdrive. (Okay, the timelines don't work as the movie is set in the 80's and cars has a flash back to the 60's but it's still kinda funny)

Can you imagine if after making all these theories and hypothesis, all those years trying to find answers, Pixar comes up and says there are no connections to any movie and it’s just a way to identify it as a Pixar movie? Yeah- that would be pretty depressing, and most people will be in rage.

1) Somewhat believeable to an extent 2) Thats the whole meaning to the movie(but not necessarily colonialism, could relate to nowadays) 3) Could be true, maybe the company that was trying to get his house was actually a metaphor to his time on earth being over, but if that were the case then why add Charles Munson 4) Actually very believable as Marlin does show the stages of grief 5) Not really believable 6) Big stretch because the monsters don't travel through time 7) Maybe, could be true but Monsters Inc. tried hiring scary looking monsters 8) Andy's moms' name is Jennifer, not Emily 9) More believable, maybe could explain Wall-E 10) Believable 11) Could be Ego's mother but I doubt that's why Remy cooks it perfectly 12) False, Brave is in the 10th century while Frozen takes place in the 19th century 13) the First one is a far stretch as Wall-E missed his family and even then it'd be hard to go against hundreds of robots, the second one is also a far stretch but more believable than the other 14) I didn't really understand it because he said that Randall is the scariest then says that he was scaring Andy(which is believable if that was what he was going for) 15) Lol that's funny and really believable 16) Didn't really understand what the theory was since he said in an extra part they(directors) explained that they did so not really a theory 17) Could be, but doubtful about it since she's been making suits for a really long time for heroes, if she were a villain why do that? 18) Not a theory 19) Not believable as a lot of security cameras still use outdated software and are in black and white 20) Literally what the movie is about 21) That is actually an interesting theory and could be true 22) Oh idk maybe because Sadness touhed it?????!!! 23) Not a theory at all 24) That's literally what Pixar does in every movie they try to have a bigger meaning behind every movie 25) Because Pixar does this everytime, like when in monsters inc the showed the ball from toy story and the opening pixar scene Most of what he said was just him trying to get views as most of them aren't theories as they could be true, are true, or are absolutely impossible

So small explanation, Edna, by what I have seen seems to have been a villain in the past. I cant exactly confirm this but the fact she knows the way multiple superheros had passed and the others don't points to potential proof along with the rest of the theory's.

Or, she could just be someone who interacts and talks to heroes a lot more than anyone else.. She needs to know more about their missions than most people so she can prepare them, and superheroes tend to be quite secretive

I always thought of John Ratzenberger as the Stan Lee of Pixar, since he makes an appearance of some kind in every single Pixar movie to date very similarly to Stan Lee in every Marvel movie up as of now (and sadly because of his passing, his Endgame appearance will be his final one.) This is a little bit different compared to the Pizza Planet Truck since actually hasn't appeared in every single Pixar film, being in every single one except the Incredibles. That's just the way I look at it though, and if you think differently that's cool :D

Could you share the video? I'm afraid I don't know what SCB means so I can't find it. In the meantime, does it explain why the dad isn't in any photos, cuz it seems a strange thing for a mom to lose her husband and immediately put away her family's reminders of him. It would be a rather cruel thing to do to their kids, surely.

@@revanche1431 Legitimately they didn't add a dad because it would've used up valuable budget and resources, it was just way too difficult with the technology and budget at the time. Especially since they reworked the movie from it's original storyline. And likely, due to this, they just never designed the dad to show up in photos later. Though if the theory that he's dead IS true, he died relatively shortly before the movie takes place since the daughter is still a baby - and seems too young/small to be 2+ - so it's been maybe a little over a year or less time. Not taking into account the idea that he died shortly after she was found to be pregnant - or before she even truly knew. Which if that's the case, then putting away the reminders of him might've been to avoid extra stress during the pregnancy which would be wise, and with the baby so young in the movie she probably didn't have the time to put them back up [but that wouldn't really explain the absence of photos in later films because you'd think she'd eventually show the dad to the kids]

Another reason just occurred to me. I doubt he would ever go to Edna because they are the same sort of "super": inventors. Edna creates all the materials she uses in her designs, so Buddy would likely see her as a rival that already has legitimacy in the super scene.

Watching Up, I was in shock. I was in the theater with my kids trying to hide my tears. I had no idea something like that could happen. I haven’t cried that much from an unknown cartoon character since Bambi’s mom.

In all honesty, I actually think there was a funny scene from Monsters Inc. Where Randall was disguising against the wall when it showed a scene of a cowboy costume and his head became visible, making it look like he was wearing the costume. Maybe it was referancing Woody? Just a suggestion.

@@Alex-ye8qp They can easily drop a reference to literally anything from all time. Doesn't Have to be from their own company. Just have to be careful how they do it because iconic images may be part of the IP and copyright of, say, Superman. So they couldn't put a Supe toy on the shelf in Andy's room. But a muscular caped hero in wild colors might go. So a reference between Frozen and Brave would be a good tease of their sibling. I would expect that.

Writers of these movies be like "wtf why did i not think of this?"

That's actually a pretty good theory and a heartwarming one.

Alternatively, the Sully toilet cover is from a kid who saw Sully (possibly Boo) and the pattern of his fur lodged in the kid's memory, consciously or subconsciously affecting certain design choices they made. Every tragic theory has a more pleasant theory mirroring it.

When watching Monsters Inc. You actually see Randal going into a room the same color and with the same oasters and Sid From Toy Story, so He is actually Sid's scarer, but could verry well ALSO be Andy's as well

Oh maybe they have neighborhoods of kids? Like rather than randomly popping all over the world they each have locations suited to them? We already know that the Horror Genre varies a lot by location, so it would make sense to vary the scarers. Some creatures we find terrifying in the US are seen as good omens in Japan - so sending a monster that they'd see as a blessing wouldn't generate much more than startled scares.
