21.5 RC Dirt Oval Latemodel build Part 4 of 4: Test & Tune Day

Welcome to the latest JBTrickleRC Tutorial series. This is the final episode of a four video series where we take a used GFRP Havoc 3.2 Dirt Oval chassis and rebuild it to be race ready.
In this episode we visit an indoor RC Dirt oval track (Lil Indy Speedway) located in Spartanburg SC where we finally get to put the freshly rebuilt 21.5 Latemodel RC car on the track for some testing and minor tuning. While in this particular video I do not cover any adjustments or real "tuning"; that is a planned video in the future. The purpose of this testing session was to get familiar with the car and plenty of wheel time with it. In my opinion too much tuning/adjusting with an unfamiliar car can potentially cause more harm than good. So again, an actual tuning video is planned for the future as well.
Below are the links for the other videos in the series:

Hello what type of irrigation do they use on the tracks?

  • @jbtricklerc

Javier great question and it varies from track to track. Some just use a garden hose and wet it the day before and the day of and roll it in. Others use weep lines, others have sprinkler systems. The drainage system matters as well because it is possible to hold too much water as well if not careful or if the weather is extra rainy.

Can anybody recommend Late model body for a SR10?

  • @jbtricklerc

There are a few options out there. Proline made one but I believe they discontinued it. I don't think the Nor'easter will fit a buggy based chassis due to width and wheel height. Shark Bodies LLC makes some, Mccaslister Racing, MRKustom and the JConcepts L8 Night 10" wide body. Since the SR10 is buggy based, I recommend finding a latemodel body for that and they are usually advertised as such or states they are 10" wide.
