2025 Ram Heavy Duty 5th Gen....big changes...or just rumors and dreams? Cummins gas?
2025 Big changes for Ram heavy duty trucks. A big 6.7 Gas Cummins coming to Ram, how about a hydrogen model Cummins. A big re-design to the chassis and cab, how about a bigger box and cab. Well the rumors are just rumors, they are there every year. Since 2020 everyone has talked about a gas cummins for the RAM truck, and big changes. I'm here to dispell some rumors and help sure up some that may just come true.

I hope they bring back the Manual Transmission option. After going through 5 68rfe’s on my 08 I sold it and haven’t owned a Cummins since. The new ZF scares me since it’s a new design and hasn’t been put to the test yet.

I hope so too. I really wanted a manual HD RAM truck. Or even a Ford Super Duty with a manual transmission.
These trucks were just fine before these hp wars began. 4th gens were the best trucks ever built in my opinion.
They gotta fix the regen issues!
Wait for the rebates on old the unsold inventory going back 2 years.
The shifting of the Aisin underload is the best in the business. Hopefully ZF brings its game.

I find that the 10 speed on my Ford hunts for gears more than the 8 spd ZF behind my 6.4

The ZF on my 6.4 is silky smooth. The engine is a little gutless compared to the Cummins

Great review, I totally agree that ram has a platform that works and really has had most of the quirks worked out. Very similar to gm with the duramax. However I do think ram needs to step up in the interior department also on fit and finish. But that’s just my opinion. Again great review looking forward to seeing Loki put in some work

if ram ever does a redesign I plan on trading my ram 2022 dually HO but if they continue the Cummins if they go all electric in the next 5 years and see ya later I’ll stay put with my 22’ lol
The ZF Powerline is for the the upgraded diesel output. This has been disclosed for months now. OTOH, Hurricane HO is a no-go for HD as it wants higher octane. Fleet owners won't touch that.

Unfortunately not much. Front grill changes, some headlight changes, wheel options and colors. No major improvements or changes. They are dropping the standard output cummins and allegedly going zf 8 speed trans for the truck, no more 68rfe....
