I’m not sure who’s been asking for a bigger screen in the upcoming frontier update, one of my favorite things about my unpackaged 23 P4X is that it has a relatively small screen (still 9 inches) in comparison to other new trucks. It’s plenty big for me to see everything without taking up too much real estate.

I don't need the bigger screen but I'll accept it as it most likely means their cameras get higher defintion upgrades. I'm more old school as well in that for most of my life I memorized my directions and mapquest print outs seemed revolutionary. Great to hear this news from Nissan, the updated safety tech with google integration is welcomed but a 12” infotainment is not necessary in my opinion, I guess that is the way everything is going. Glad to see an upgrade and refresh, along with the new orange color and longbed for the Pro-4X model. I hope that the updated safety tech includes electronic power steering. The Frontier still has hydraulic power steering, I don’t think I can even name another truck that has hydraulic power steering, it seems all other manufacturers have switched over to electronic. The Frontier has adaptive cruise control with NO lane keep assist and that is because the frontier has hydraulic power steering, every other Nissan product gets Nissan’s Pro Pilot Assist except the Frontier, I don’t see them re-engineering the steering to include those safety systems but I hope they will because that is part of the reason this truck feels outdated.

Heres an off topic story. Back in the early 2000s, the companu TLC aka Icon 4x4 had reached an agreement with Toyota to buy a large amount of Toyota V8s from Toyotas Marine segment so he can install new Toyota crate engines in restomodded vehicles. When Toyota closed down its marine division, the lawyers ordered to have 100s of crate V8s to be crushed and icon/tlc was forced to buy GM crate engines instead.
