Excellent video! Your love for these Gladiators is amazing! It makes me want one, it makes me a little envious and I’ve never even driven one! They are certainly overpriced, but at the same time in a world of their own with all their incredible capabilities! I do enjoy my Ram 1500… the comfort, power and quality… but consider a gladiator for its size (as a majority of the time, I don’t need a full size truck)! I think that ‘24 Willys is a “sweet spot” in the lineup!!

Please help me! Where in hell do you find Gladiators with that kind of a discount? These dealers love these vehicles, they’re not getting off their ridiculous prices. Still $60-80 thousand even for 2022s sitting two years. And have no fear with their attempt to hold up the buyer for their $5,000 ad ons to their crazy prices. And nobody’s checking these crooks.

Ok we finally got to get the Gladiator at a price I could live with. See when they first came out we were in the market for a new crew cab mid sized truck, we had a 2016 Colorado Ext Cab 4x4 Z71 V6, we bought new for $33k at that time, but a lower level Gladiator hard top automatic with power windows was at least $48k, still without any type of WiFi. So we bought the Colorado Crew Cab WT 4x4, V6, that we were happy with for 5yr 10 months and 57,000 trouble free miles. So when it came time to trade for new, I was skeptical about the turbo 4, plus now low range in WT trim 4x4! At $38k! But we found a Jeep dealer called Thunder in Central Florida with $15k discounts on $52k Sport S, with a few nice handy features. With everything we wanted plus! I would have like a Willys but they were sold out! So no off road 285/70-17 32” tires or rear locking differential, but we don’t need one really bad. With the 245/75-17 highway tread tires the ride is the best you will get with a Gladiator and overall mileage. So far so good on out first less than half tank of gas. I have a couple upgrades in mind, LED bulbs up front and nice leather seat covers for the dogs. Then a set of high end Bilstein shocks to enhance the handling. More to come.

Great info. I am following Car Edge & you waiting for the best deal, but here is my dilemma...I am starting to have some issues with my current 2020 Gladiator Overland. The shift solenoid is starting to act up & probably once every 2 weeks, I can't shift into DRIVE. I currently have to pull the little rope in front to put it in neutral & rock the Jeep back & forth, turn the Jeep off & it will go back to normal for another 2-3 weeks. Also, my tires are at the end of their road with just normal wear & tear. So I am having to make a big decision of buying a set of new tires (37x12.50R17) x4 & fix my shifter & wait awhile or trade it in soon. The fix for the shift solenoid is having the change the whole gear shifter which is approx. ~$400-$450 for me to do it myself or more if I pay to have it done. I don't want to jump to quickly, but I also don't want to put a lot more money into my 2020 Glady & turn around & trade it in for a new one & lose all of that money because I know I won't get any of that back. The last thing is I am definitely getting a Rubicon trim with my next purchase. I really don't care about the X trim pkg with paint matched trim, etc., but I must have the dual lockers both front & rear + the electronic disconnect sway bar link for my next Gladiator. What are your thoughts about my dilemma / decisions? Thanks in advance.

Then I'd jump on the deals now if you want out of your old one. And I get it on the extra costs coming up. Part of the reason I dump my trucks before 80k miles is so I don't have to replace another set of tires, shocks, more maintenance etc. All that stuff cost money. And if I'm gonna put 2500 bucks into it the sell it I lost 2500 bucks.

You probably will see lower prices, as Samko said in this video. Since I already got my Jeep Gladiator (Rubiocn) back in 2021, I'm not (fortunately!) in the market for a new vehicle now, but the prices today are outrageous. Mine was $50,263 back in April 2o21, from Castle Rock CDRJ (Colorado), and some people said back then it was "vastly overpriced." Compare to prices now and tell me what is "overpriced." I'll take $50,263, thank you! ;-) However, the HOUSING market is still as insane as the auto-market...so I'm applying the "sit tight and wait" (if you can) strategy hoping (1) home prices and (2) mortgage interest rates come down (to where I want them) before buying. Since 2021, I've seen BOTH the housing & auto markets as identical in their insanity. So "Buy Now" is NOT the answer in EITHER market (unless you have to). IMO... ;-) -- BR

I think one of the main reasons the 4xe model is their best selling is because I believe in 14 states the dealers aren't allowed to have gas models on their lot. Doesn't mean you can't order one, just that the dealer can't. I would think most salespeople would rather sell what's on the lot then order. If they (salespeople) conveniently don't say anything and the buyer is non the wiser then that's what they (the buyer) end of purchasing. On a personnel level, no way I want one of these. There extremely complicated tech and the politics behind it make me not want one. Plus weight and you can't get it in a stick.

If it had the excellent 5.7 V8/ZF auto powertrain in it I'd be a lot more interested. Jeep got way out over their skis on the Gladiator pricing. I was looking at left over 2023's in February when they were running the 15% deals. The dealers were putting another 7-8% on top. Even then the rubicons I was looking at were mid to high $50k's. Every dumb option on a gladiator is like $2000. Led's, 2k. leather, 2k. Heated seats and wheel, 2k. Hard top, 2k. Aux switches, 2k. Adaptive Cruise, 2k. This is crap that comes standard in other trucks for 50k MSRP. Look at the Chevy colorado ZR2. Maxed out its ~$52k with everything I listed above and ventilated seats. You go build a 2024 with all the things I said(leather, hard top, heated seat/steering, auto transmission) its still $66k. And thats with a relatively ho-hum Pentastar V6. It needs to have $15k off just to be in the realm of competitive. There is a reason 2023's are still stacked up on dealer lots.

@Jay-me7gw i agree msrp prices are high but deals bring it back to reality. And noth8ng out there can do what a gladiator can or last as long for as little of money or take the beating it can. It's purpose built and excels at what it's intended for. A serious off road tool with an amazing fun factor

@@Jason-Samko I agree, its a different tier of capability than most trucks, but also most people don't do anything close to what a gladiator can do. I was able to do some pretty difficult trails in moab in my GX460 with 33" Rubicon takeoffs and a 1.75" lift, skids, and no lockers. I was running trails that I only saw Can Am Mavericks and RZR's on. I scratched my factory bumpers up a bit, but the truck had zero issue getting through it. And, honestly, the Gladiators wheelbase is so damn long that it probably needs lockers to get itself over stuff. Trucks with shorter wheelbases can run smaller tires and less lift and still clear the same obstacles. Unless you are routinely running the Rubicon or Pritchett canyon or similar, you just dont need a Gladiator Rubicon. Thats the reality of it.

@Jay-me7gw this is not directed at you but more of a general statement that i hear often. And my reaponse to the gladiaor is too long criticism. amazes me how many people think the only off roading in the world or that matters is in the mountains. In the mountains that stuff might matter. But the other 80% of the country consists or mud, sand, snow, holes, ruts, wash out crossings etc. Yet the world seems to judge a vehicle I'd it can drive over a rock. In my world trucks get used hard, covered in mud, sunk in holes all in the name of getting to a place to recreate outdoors. Break over angle is pretty irrelevant in 80% of the country. And it also has a truck bed, tons if interior back seat room, more inside storage than any other mid size and the open air experience. But yeah the break over angle is 3 degrees worse than a zr2.

I've had my Gladiator for just over 3 years. Two minor issues (on warranty), well-proved (Gen 3) V6 N-A gas Pentastar engine, tows 2,000lbs more than I need, and NO RECALLS like other "better" brands (Ford/Toyota, and others) EVER on ANYTHING. And it came with top-tier 33" Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires factory/OEM -- great choice on Jeep's part. And because Ford cancelled their project to build Bronco TRUCKS, there is ZERO direct-competition to the Gladiator in the serious off-road-focused 4x4 mid-size truck segment, especially the Rubicon. It stands alone. Were I to buy another mid-size truck today, I'd get another Gladiator (Rubicon) -- no doubt. And gas, not interested in anythign 4XE at all, ICE engine only for me and another no-nonsense N-A V6 vs. a turbo 4. So why are Gladiators NOT good? You couldn't prove that by my experiences. What's your personal hand-on ownership experience? I think you "keep hearing" BS -- assorted myths and legends from the Old Days -- and need to sort the never-owned-a-Jeep (especially the newer ones) parrots from real owners who HAVE one. Sure SOME Gladiators might have issues -- ALL brands have that though, don't tell me any brand is batting 1000 (they ain't, NONE) -- but the VAST MAJORITY of late model Jeeps out there, be they Wrangler JLs or Gladiator JTs are VERY good. In fact, I'd say the latest Jeeps (the intro of the JL in 2018 and Gladiator in 2020, up to the present) are the best Jeeps have ever been. And I'm not even a Jeep Fan Boy (no Brand Loyalty here, but have owned mostly foreign brands in my life). However, I DO perform "Jeep Waves" when I encounter another JL or JT on the road because it goes with Jeep ownership -- "It's a Jeep Thing." I even wave at Broncos...but they have no clue what's up with waving. There should be a "Bronco Wave" for them but Ford/Broncos don't have that kind of lifestyle/camaraderie Jeepers have always had. Since 1941. ;-) "Jeep Wave" -- BR

People say that because they don't know any better. Lack of education on the vehicles today. Look at how many people think chevy is junk, ford is junk or toyota is the best. It's all nonsense. All truck reliability today as well as quality is basically on par with each other. And ones pros are another cons but it all averages out. But I promise you this. In real life (not the Internet) it will be hard to find a jeep owner that doesn't love it and the experience of driving one. Especially off road. Just 2 hours ago me and my wife were in the swamp of Georgia scouting for hogs and ran into a super nast hole and tina said " no way your gonna make it thru that " I laughed and said with this we can all day. And I put it in 4 low, locked front and rear lockers and we crawled theu it like nothing. I ha e owned 37 new trucks. Nothing is better than a gladiator. Also nothing is worse. They are all equal. Except when it comes to offroad and the open air experience.

I rented a Gladiator for a couple of weeks. As a 20 year Jeep owner, the Gladiator was by far the worst Jeep experience I've ever had. Horrible blind spots with those tiny mirrors. Atrocious break over and descent angles. The v6, which is barely adequate for a 2 door Wrangler, is horribly underpowered for the weight of the truck.

@edhcb9359 ???? There are many vehicles with worst reliability. If you are talking the paint issue it's covered and get new paint job so thats not an issue. Also if you buy a jeep 90% of people want to use it as a jeep and upgrade parts. It's the 10% of people who shouldn't own a jeep who expect it to be a Cadillac which that's not what it was built for. Plus parts are way way cheaper than any model out there cause so much competition for aftermarket parts. Literally parts are compatible through many many years or generations and easier to install at home. So obviously you own another brand and jealous

@@Lefishn It’s not just the paint(which is a big problem BTW). Mechanically it’s very poorly made. Most people don’t do too much to modify their Jeeps outside of bolting on a few fun accessories and most don’t ever wheel them at all so that’s not what is driving their poor reliability. Nobody that actually owns a Jeep thinks they are cheap to own.
