This is the all new Cadillac Escalade IQ. This is the first all electric Cadillac Escalade. It is also the second major electric vehicle from Cadillac’s new IQ electric division.
First, let’s talk about the power that this car delivers. It has a battery pack with two electric motors, one on each side, giving the car 750 hp at it’s highest driving Velocity Max mode. Otherwise, this would put out 680 hp. This also delivers 750-785 lb-ft of torque. It could do 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in under 5 seconds. Yes, I know that this SUV has over 680 hp, but the heavyweight of the car and the height of the chassis decreases the speed it’s able to go.
For interior (and exterior), there is a lot to talk about. There is a 55 inch connected screen, which might end up being one of the biggest screens in the whole car industry. You could also bring more than just 5 people with a maximum seating of 7. There is an all new eTrunk at the front which can hold up to an estimated 50 to 100 cubic feet of space. On the exterior, you also have 4 wheel steering. Inside the second row, you also have two screens behind each front seat, with a middle screen between the back seats.
Now let’s get to the price of this Escalade IQ. Exact pricing specs haven’t been revealed yet, but Cadillac says that it might start at around $130,000, which is around $20,000 less than the Escalade V. Production of the Escalade IQ will start at Factory Zero in Michigan US next summer, and it will arrive at dealers in late 2024.
