I do love this MDX; since Lexus decided to start using four-cylinder turbo weak engines, this would be the next best option. I appreciate SUVs that keep the V6 engines.

I have a Lexus Rx 350 and I absolutely love my V6. It's a great engine. Since mine is only a few years old, I don't plan on replacing it for a while, but even if I did, I will probably buy an MDX since I don't even like the styling of the new ones.

@@michaelmartin4366 exactly I drive a Lexus ES 350 and I love the power in the smoothness of the V6 engine. It’s just weird to see you like the Volvo XC 90 and all these big SUVs with turbo four-cylinder engines that does not work for me. I actually like this new style of the MDX. I used to love when my mom had a 2012 because they did some cosmetic upgrades but this new MDX is nice especially the type S model. I saw one on the road today. Looks so good in white, and the red brake calipers were 🔥 I definitely have to agree with you though. I don’t like the look of the new RX 350 it’s honestly ugly.

@@MeynMotorGroup Kevin, I honestly could never ever drive another four-cylinder car or SUV. I’m on my second V6 car and I love the power of that Lexus smooth engine. I still watch the video you did of that red 2010 ES 350 review, because that’s my baby in black.

I personally dislike the exterior changes, it didn't need them. Took away some of its charm.

The fact that it is a touch screen now personally makes this the most desirable 3 row SUV. Will definitely be in the (used) market in the next couple years

I feel like they've been using the 3.5l V6 in the pilot and MDX since forever. Not sure if there are any changes in the engine. I've always really liked Acura cars since some family members of mine have owned Acura cars. I just don't like premium gas or more expensive parts lol. I know you used to own a TSX too. That is the only downfall of a V6 engines, they are gas guzzlers, even my Lexus sedan requires premium fuel. I’ve always loved Acura. My mom had two MDX’s. My dad had two Acura legends back in the day and then my sister used to drive a CL type S. I’ll always have love for Acuras, but I’m a Lexus guy, so I guess I’ll just have to stick with the sedans since all of their SUVs are now four-cylinders. The thing about Lexus is people are always saying they are so cheap to maintain, but that’s not the case for a high mileage. Lexus. Mine cost a lot and parts to fix and do this and do that but I knew what I was getting myself into when I bought a high mileage luxury car, but it drives as if it has 5 miles!

Would the Type S have the saddle brown color seats that are available on the Platinum elite on the current MDX?

I have no doubt that switching to B&O audio is going to be a downgrade from the ELS system. Going from a bespoke brand that likely invested significant time and effort into custom-tuning their audio to suit each Acura model's unique acoustics, to a system you can find in a Ford, feels like a major misstep. This likely saves Acura manufacturing costs, but those savings certainly aren't being passed on to the customer.

I like the changes, but wish they left the hand rest and ELS-it sounds great and differs Acura from all the rest. Also I hope they will finally produce Sport Hybrid version to make it more efficient and quick. Smth like RLX Sport Hybrid was

Then pay 85k+ for its competitors outfitted with similar features. Nobody is cheap anymore. 70k+ is now what will run you for any fully loaded SUV brand new. It is what it is, but still much cheaper than its competitors.
