Thank you for the review, i was able to test drive YC Hev and the zenix HEV. The difference im smoothness are miles apart.

Hopefully with the new management at Daihatsu maybe we could see improvements for next year and boyond.

Thanks for the review. Pretty nice. As it stands though, the presence of the G variant of the Corolla Cross at 1.462M kinda defeats the purpose of getting this Yaris Cross variant. It's also a hybrid while being a true TNGA platform whereas the Yaris Cross is essentially a Daihatsu.

Agree. Corolla Cross G variant owner here. Matagal akong nagresearch and compare sa dalawa and ultimately we decided to get the Corolla. Sobrang layo ng quality, ride comfort and NVH. One of the best major decisions we made as a family (and also because we avoided the Yaris Cross Daihatsu trap. Buyer's regret sila pero wala diyan aamin for sure)

Please review 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross V and GRS variant. ☺️

That model is totally different from the Yaris Cross we get in Europe. It looks bigger and the interior looks nicer. More like the Corolla Cross we get.

IIRC: the Yaris Cross is made in Indonesia, so tariff wont be a problem because AFTA. Only the 50% excise tax remains.

As long as you temper your expectations, it's a really good daily driver. Not the one I take out of out of town though. Too noisy and not that comfortable to drive. 😄

Was seriously planning to get this but opted for A Geely Azkarra, same price but refinement and ride quality, ang layooooooooooooo! This is a daihatsu, not a toyota

@@Litt02 depends actually on how you drive it. Azkarra is on the comfy side, so chill driving lang kami palagi, but still has 190hp and 300nm torque for overtaking

Hmmm i dont like the fact that there are oversprays under the hood…. Did this car pass the quality check? Or this car is just a demo… i hope for those who are buying it, please check your hood paint. Overspray is just so unprofessional and quite lacking

The answer is more along the lines of Yes and No. Yes, it is a DNGA-B platform wearing a Toyota badgr. No, because there is no Daihatsu badged model that is equivalent (e.g. Raize = Rocky)

my honda city hatchback gets 30km/L at a steady 75kph on the expressway. you don't need hybrid to get great fuel efficiency. also there's no wind noise coz it's aerodynamic.

For anyone considering the yaris cross, the engine droning sound is unbearable. Yes the corolla cross has less features but the driving and comfort is night and day. Suspension on the yaris cross is stiff while the corolla cross is very plush.

@@robertdionne6073 Personally po, hindi ko po na try yung mga cars nilista mo pero for reference lang po, mas silent yung mga vios at mirage. Sa vibrations naman po, ma fefeel mo talaga sa gas pedal po at sa center console.

I had a chance to drive this once since a friend let me drive his and I have to agree that it definitely feels cheap compared to competitors of the same spec. I’m not gonna mention any brand as I’m not fanboying, just an honest observation. The feel may actually grow to those who really likes to drive Toyota so it really depends. 🙂

Ang pogi kaso, DNGA platform. 👀 Mas okay ang Corolla Cross dahil TNGA platform na ang ginamit. Sa NVH pa lang, panalong panalo ang Corolla Cross.

Did I hear that right that the Lithium Ion battery pack is stacked on top of the fuel tank? Just a minor concern with that. When a Lithium Ion battery pack goes bonkers and spontaneously catches fire, firefighters who have fought EV fires abroad, describe such a barbecue event as a multicolored blow torch from hell that is extremely difficult to control because Lithium produces its own oxygen to keep the barbecue going . And the last thing to have sitting right next to a raging inferno would be a fuel tank filled with highly combustible gasoline because that would literally be adding fuel to the fire. With that said, I think the best buy would be the V model just to be sure.

I’d get the corolla cross G which is lower in price tbh. If you need a smaller car than the cross just get the raize

I'd rather get the new Kia Sonet super sulit. Ekis ang Yaris Cross and Raize kasi Daihatsu mafifeel mo naman sa ride and drive

The big question is- what would u do to ur hybrid car after 10 years?.. u cant sell it coz the battery is almost dead, the only option is to keep it and buy a new battery worth 6 figures. And by that time, ur car is already old and clunky. So it negates all the fuel savings u get. Quite pointless really. Stick to the good old ICE!

Then what? After 150,000 kms? Buy a 6 figure battery for a 15 year old dilapidated car? ..The longer u keep a hybrid car, the harder it is to dispose it, sell it, or even keep it. Doesnt make any financial sense.. the battery is the killer here. Not to mention if the electric motor and inverters will last that long..

I normally reach only 50k+ in about 10-11 years after which i sell a car. Battery should still be good for the buyer. Hopefully batteries will get cheaper by then as battery recycling could already be the norm.

For 1.6miliion toyota or daihatsu rather is a humiliation to the branding of toyota when you see its quality. Mas maganda pa quality ng chinese cars dyan lalo na ung gac emzoom. There's the corolla cross that has a base variant around almost 200k less expensive than this Yaris Cross variant while still being a hybrid and offering a night and day driving experience vs the Yaris Cross.

Test drove both and got the emzoom. 7months and no regrets getting this than the yaris x.

A lot of Hateful comments from People who cant afford to buy Yaris Cross or any 2024 cars😂😂😂 Keep Crying. Yaris Cross HEV is the king of fuel efficiency and its driving comfort is perfectly fine. Love its exterior and interior designs too❤
