I, too, play the Pro V1x with a similar ball speeds on “full” swings. Seeing the numbers you posted confirms my choice between the three options. Left dash is a ghost around my area and not high on my list. Good timing on the video because I was questioning my choice. Now I can focus 100% on swing!

One thing I found testing these balls is that when I play AVX at altitude, I got some "knuckled" spin numbers and so I play Pro V1 at altitude and AVX at sea level. I also switch in higher wind situations. Love the options for Titleist.

Great video first off, I play on Sunday mornings with a senior golfer and he plays the AVX and with his ball striking he has to play a new ball because it deforms after 6 holes or so, egg shape, he is a constant ball striker, I play Pro V1 myself just because it feels more firm for me and the AVX is to soft of a feel for me personally

Very interesting results. I’ve been testing those same balls as well, but also throwing in the Left Dash. I’m trying to get a bit higher launch and less spin, especially with driver. It is interesting how some days I’ll see the results titleist days I should, and other days I don’t, using trackman data.

Would love to see you guys do a video of how something like the Taylormade Soft Response responds to higher swing speeds. I love using the softer golf balls for on and around the greens but have always wondered how much i’m losing on driver and irons due to the low compression and what the wedge spin looks like. Love the channel thanks guys!

Would’ve made a lot of sense to see this compared to left dash. A lot of us are sort of shoe horned into left dash to knock off spin, but as Neil from NLU puts it, hitting a left dash feels like you’re striking a human skull lol

I also use Left Dash because I need to shed as much spin as possible. But the high ball flight is tough for me as I already hit too high. I’ll use AVX (or Maxfli Tour S) when it’s colder out. Using AVX last year at times didn’t feel like I was losing much distance compared to Left Dash but I have no data on that. Would love to see a good comp.

I have used all three and still can't decide which one I like better. I am a high ball, high spin player. Speed is down a bit this year, but I am 40 now haha. 106-109 driver, last year was 112-119. I loved AVX and it was my ball of choice for a long time due to feel and spin control. I did make the switch to ProV1 in recent years bc as a high SS player I was losing a decent bit of ball speed off driver. I may have to give it a go again after this test! Cheers boys!

Don't know if I missed it but, perhaps a mention about the exact compression of each golf ball might be more of a factor for some ? I believe the AVX is a lower compression so might suit someone with a slower swing speed. It would be brilliant if you could do a video on this subject - different ball compressions with different swing speeds ? As always, content is top tier 👌🏻

I play AVX after playing V1X for decades. Have no troubles spinning it around the greens but the trajectory and consistency in the wind is the separator. I play a windy course and AVX is money. Flatter flight and consistent launch window. Beautiful off the irons yet a tad shorter off the drive. Yet I think this is due to my driver setup as my driver head is a tad spinny for my liking no matter the ball played.

Fitting a golf ball inside is so hard. All you can give them is the spin and launch and say what the aero is supposed to do. The aero is what controls that flight and peak height. In Pro V1X, the dimples are designed to create lift and use that added spin to climb to give people (like me) that help getting a proper land angle with long irons. AVX aero is designed to limit lift and keep it flatter.

The old AVX was way to soft for me off the putter. Likely mental, but I struggled to putt with it. Prov1 is perfect off the putter, Prov1x is slightly firm. On soft greens the AVX is nice as it basically stops where it hits and doesn't rip back like crazy, but I launch it low, so ProV1x is better overall for my game. Get more spin and launch on irons without sacrificing distance. My course has firm greens and not soft, so proV1x has been my ball past few years. Great to have options.
