Nah it won’t. The Sonata has always been a better looking car than the Accord dating back to the 2009 model. But the Accord just executes everything so well it’s tough to beat.

This is exactly what I wanted to see with futuristic blend of styling 😍

This Hyundai looks way better than the New Honda Accord.

Yes it does however the accord will trickle down over generations, I don't see this doing the same in the same way the accord will, .....but it does look better, the benefits of being made after

They’re already all over the place here in the Knoxville,TN area. Well the previous gen I mean. Not this redesigned one from the video,lol!!

Kinda wish the seats were a little different and that a coupe option for the N line was available.

hyundai is now increasingly sophisticated, its features and interior are much liked by Europeans and Americans,

If I could afford this right now.. I'd get it without even thinking twice..

@@mharro88 well, maybe.. But for the most part, it's a commute vehicle for me.. And it has value for the price.. Other brands are becoming overhyped and I don't like spending money on overhyped products.. They mostly take advantage. I've tried a lot of products that people always say no to.. And for the most part, very good man. It's just market hype making most products look bad..

Here is my take. I have always been a value person. I own a 2015 Sonata. I went with it because Toyota and Honda just cost more for what you get. Plus the warranty. Yes the original Engine went out before 100000 miles but had it replaced. No issues with how car drove or performed. I use it for work as a salesman so it’s been abused. Other things have to be replaced but just natural after 150000 tons of idling over 7 years. Cars still rides well, no shakes or rattles. Do need to finally replace struts but not urgent matter. I just recently bought the 2023 Tucson. Like everybody else moving away from the sedan. Love the interior design of this vehicle. Use to like Nissan designs long ago but they got boring. Honda and Toyota were boring to recently. Yes I do still agree with Honda and Toyota reliability but I do believe that gap is closing and would be concerned with Honda moving into that DEI crap

When I had to replace my 22 year old Ford that I bought new after 180k miles (most trouble free car I've ever owned), I replaced it with a used 2016 Hyundai Elantra with 21k miles on it -the car has been amazing - I looked at Toyotas and Hondas and they were priced nearly $5k more than the Hyundai with MORE MILES on them. I take care of my car and change the oil frequently and do routine maintenance so my cars always log many miles and year. The Hyundai looks and drives brand new. I am now a Hyundai buyer. I don't see the point of paying for a legacy of reliability when the modern Hondas and Toyotas are not as reliable as historic ones. I love the look of the new Sonata (and Elantra is being updated similarly). Will consider should I need to buy something new.

AWD is coming to the 1.6t engine trims and not the N-Line. The least Hyundai can do is add a LSD to the N-Line. Hyundai will never AWD to the N-Line as long as the Genesis G70 exists in ICE form.

Likely going to replace my current 2006 V6 Sonata LX with over 213K grin miles! One of the first off the Alabama assembly line.

Love the exterior design, seems like the car matured in the right direction, as a current Sonata N line owner I wish they redesigned the seats and the doors or at least offer the interior in a different color. Also anyone knows the purpose of the mysterious panel to the left of the dash?

No, tech wise yes, but reliability? Most definitely not. Hyundai and Kia's depreciate fast. Hyundai and Kais have problems with their engines after 50k miles...

@@ggthx Lmao since when? Maybe early 2000s and 90s but even toyota and hyndai are not immune to engine problems just like BMW and Mercedes are not immune to it. Plus you get 10 year warranty for your engine so nothing to worry about

@@ggthx I have read on it and my family has owned toyotas and hyundais and even GMC cars and i would never talk bad about hyundais. In fact my first toyota corolla i remember i had to replace the entire radiator few days after driving it out of the dealership

As if the interior dripping with piano black wasn't bad enough, we've now moved into the piano black all over the exterior phase? If buyers hated it on the inside, what makes car makers think consumer will like it on the outside? Of all the reviews I've watched over the years, not a single one has ever said car buyers like piano black. Are manufactures not listing, or just ignoring (Apple) customers?

The facelifted Sonata definitely looks better than the current one. I never really liked the catfish front end.

After Honda got rid of the 10 speed for a CVT, gave it less hp & extremely odd old mannish looks in the new Accord this new Sonata is a great alternative.

I absolutely LOVE this refresh of the sonata! It just so cohesive now!! This will kill the competition..the only dislike is that Hyundai badge In the front. It’s throwing me off like it doesn’t belong there IMO..they might want to redesign the badge a bit, like KIA did. Their badging looks more modern that goes along with the looks of their cars. If I were to buy or lease this car. I would probably Debadge it an replace or paint it gloss/Matted black.

Is there anywhere in particular you’d go to create a badge? I’ve been wanting to remove badges and replace but don’t know where to go. Serious question.

People might think im crazy but ive got 3 cars i cant decide on. This sonata is one of them. The other 2 are the BMW M135 xdrive and the Merc AMG35. The latter vehicles will be 2nd hand with less than 5000kms on the clock so still fairly new but both will be about AUD 10-15k more than this brand new Sonata. This vehicle would probably be more comfortable but the other 2 would be more exhilarating to drive. Im leaning more towards the BMW M135 xdrive as it's a good balance between class/sport/comfort. The AMG35's interior is amazing, but the overall car is less practical
