This Sonata N-Line's front design is what BMW wanted to do with the 7 series but failed miserably. Whereas Hyundai perfectly executed this design. This car looks quite brilliant & aggressively amazing. Very much love this front design.

Its a total rip off. Its advertised as a semi-performance, however it has nothing of it. Evenhy7ndai N divisionn CEO told n a conference the sonata n line was not a performance vehicle. Its just a regular sonata with 300 hp. Ot also has very poor owners reviews.

Just bought mine two days ago and love it. These guys nailed it. It drives like an European sport sedan but without the hefty price tag. Fast and responsive but also very comfortable. The electronics are incredible. The 2024 is a new design that rivals any European models.

Update: It's been three months since I purchased the car. Everything I said in my original post still stands. I love this car.

Whoever is designing vehicles over at Hyundai right now is killing it.

The bromance is beautiful. Hyundai 2024 vs 2005 is night and day. Their cars have a great reputation now and living up to the hype

Ordered mine last Nov 2023. Expecting it to arrive late March 2024. Chose the Serenity White even though I prefer the matte grey, but the maintenance and cost of fixing/paint-matching rock chips on matte colours put me off. Will dark tint all 4 windows and rear screen, grab a set of black rims, remove rear "Sonata" badging and perhaps drop it 20mm with Eibach lowering springs. Won't touch engine or exhaust due to warranty.

Love the look of these .. saw one yesterday in my area and I couldn't stop looking at it.. If I were in the market for a larger vehicle, top of the list! I'll stick with my N-Line Premium i30 for the moment though.

You guys didn't mention the led lightshow on the front of the car. Change that color to red and you get the Nightrider car from the past ❤

Facelift that may as well be a complete new model if it was other manufacturers. Great looking car, shame we've become obsessed with SUV and Dual Cab. It probably won't last much longer.

Would have loved to have seen more of the upgrades in the sedan N facelift. Its crazy the difference especially on the interiors versus the N range now

Omg thank you Hyundai for not doung the weird 2-ish spoke steering wheel. Also THANK YOU for not making the exhaust tip with 200 different lines. I love it

This car might not have an lsd but it has a great torque vectoring by brake that comes with the n-line package. This system was made for the veloster and got upgraded overtime and now its found and most turbo charged hyundai products. But not all of them are the same. Sport models have much more agressive torque vectoring then the rest of the line up. Its so good on the street that you would not see the difference in most cases with a proper lsd except is some situation where you have understeer. What is strange is that, only the sport modes are design to use it and so you have this strange thing where you get less traction in modes like smart or eco.

A bit of happy hooning going on there. Luv the fact that it's got the Genesis transmission in it. Luv the final thoughts. You sold me.

I just appreciate how serious these car look nowadays! I mean back in the 20th century they were just a mode of transport, now they're a way of representing the drivers personality and status.

I saw on another review that you cant turn off the speed limit warning bell permanently. Every time you start the car it resets to on. Is that true?

I want this in wagon form with the twin turbo V6 petrol...would be amazing!

06:15 Wired connection is far better than wireless, I wasted so much time waiting for my sister's phone to be disconnected before connecting my phone, what make it worse is that my family car, Hyundai Stargazer, only has wireless connection

My Sonata N line 2021 transmission died at 10k miles, just had it replaced and it’s not working again completely, so had to return it back again, great vehicle, but transmission it’s really really bad!

Other markets get a hybrid version. Sad thing is our market is too small to be diverse and still achieve sales numbers

The US Version has wireless carplay for Android and Apple. I test drove a 2024 Sonata N yesterday

I do like it. And im planning on buying a car late this year... But I do have my mind set on the new Elantra N 👀

considering the fact that the US market does infact get wireless carplay but not the rear retractable shade, back window shades, memory seats, powered liftgate, cooled seats, heated steering wheel, heads up display, rear vents. id say the Australian market won.

Tend to agree. They bundled a whole lot of options together in the N Line because it's the only model. It is expensive at $40,000USD drive away.

I like the performance of the i30 N, but the interior and comfort doesn't come close to the Sonata. I bought the latter due to comfort and class, but it still rips

the front end looks a lot like Nemesis from the Resident Evil series lol

Why do reviewers get so hung up on wireless CarPlay? It’s far more glitchy than a wired connection, and wireless chargers don’t really work and just heat your phone so if you want to charge, you plug in anyway.

Yes I heard it's just a matter of an over-the-air update later this year for the Aus market. I bought my 24 sonata last November. Expecting delivery late March 2024

That no android auto or Apple car play must be an Australian thing bc they have it in the US model. Hell, my 2019 veloster n has it. I love the new front end also.

The US version omits the back A/C vents. Is this Australian or European version?

Aussie. There is only the one Sonata model in Australia. It's called the 'N Line' but includes a bundle of features. Not all N Lines are the same.

Can the speed warning sound be turned off?

No only turned down in software. The feature is either on or off with the sound.

Yeah. Even though it's called the N Line Australia it's the only model sold in Australia. Because of this it includes a combination of features available in other models in the package, but only the one Engine/Trans/Drive option so No AWD.

Firstly, nice hair cut Matty! Not sure why you are saying this is a new Sonata when all they did was a face lift front and rear end. As for interior Is funny how it is similar to BMW with the single bar for multimedia display! i wish they would have made it rear wheel drive as it would change the way the car drive or at least chuck in an LSD. With today’s market where family are buying Utes or SUV it will be very hard to compete at that price point as there is allot of choices and it is still a Hyundai.

Hate the rear so much because of how it goes in as if it was rear ended. EVERYTHING else is beautiful.

6.3 is not really quick (same speed as like a bmw 325i from 2007) but its quick enough! And thats the most important. Nobody needs a sub 4 second car in daily traffic.

Indian here.... This isn't ugly. It's just that this is ' faceless ' . Which takes away half of mind connection you are supposed to feel with an ice car. Half of the connection is in the ' face ' with various emotions( aggressive, neutral, funny, sad , ugly ) and other half how the engine talks to you. This car misses out on the first half. It will take a long time for any buyers who care about the face to develop a face for this in their minds.

Korean car makers. They just keep getting better. VW will probably acquire them. :)

Foreigners Who Watch This Video Actually, Sonata sales in Korea are sluggish because they are ugly. So Hyundai Motor doesn't recommend other vehicles except Elantra on behalf of Koreans. I'd rather buy beef with the rest of the money. 😂😂 It's not easy for foreigners to think that this design is cool. If you think it's cool, you can immediately see that it's ugly when you come to Korea. I'll buy a German car, Hyundai Motor

So people can buy enough BMW 320i with the money to buy a Sonata. But 320i sports may be different . Of course, there are many Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors in Korea, but do you know why you can see many Mercedes-Benz and BMW cars? One of the countries with the largest sales of Mercedes-Benz and BMW in the world is Korea, which is common because Mercedes and BMW give a lot of discounts. and audi too.🤣

They lack basic skills. For my parents drive Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5 Series, and I feel that there is no basic skills in Korean cars . It feels a lot faster when you drive it. The power delivery is very linear. I was close to buying a 2023 BMW M135i Xdrive which does 0-100km in 4.8secs and yes it's quick off the line, but the Sonata feels quicker when you're 100km+ due to the larger displacement. If the Sonata had LSD and AWD, it would be much quicker with that 2.5L turbo engine.

I could never buy a car with the annoying speed limit beeping all the time. Lets hope the 2024 i30N doesn't come with this.

Deal breaker for me ... annoying beeps and bongs, front wheel drive (goodbye in the wet and wheel hop in the dry) wired carplay. A shame really has plenty of power and great looks.

Car looks great, but having had a modified VW FWD without a limited slip, how can you find the axle tramp and driveline shudder entertaining? I switched to Quattro and appreciate the smooth acceleration off the line, downside is in when comes to corner carving, its not that great. That's what my MX-5 is for😊
