So after long consideration I placed my order for the M3 LR I went for a test drive today and the car was quiet, comfortable. It is very fast. I don't need a performance, I never go to the track, l don't drive more than 75 on Freeway, 50 on city streets and I don't want to worry about driving over potholes and ruining my rims and LR has better range. Glad I'm officially part of Tesla family. My first EV. Oh and when I went on the test drive I wanted to see what it was like going on highway. When I went on the on ramp I decided to floor it , in less than an instant I looked at my speed , True story, not even intending to but in a literal blink of an eye I was already doing 125 !!! No joke I was like what the f%#€. Insane speed for LR

Dude doesn't need a performance but buys 400 HP car 😂 ... Considering the fact standard range is charged up to 100 % and long range to 80% because of different batteries the real world range is about the same... So you just gave 10 k more for a performance that you don't need 😂 common lol

I'm rocking a late 2018 3 Performance that I've loved. I've hated some of the changes on newer versions, like the center console (less flexible storage), but the refresh finally tips the scale towards wanting to upgrade. Of course, now I have to wait a while because my wife will want to upgrade her Y to an X so she doesn't have the older vehicle :D

Thanks for the video. "Highland" was the internal project name, hence not associated with the release of the 2024 model 3 which I have on order. My understanding is the screen is the same size 15.4" but with a thinner bezel area. This is the second review I've seen of the base model RWD model 3 that shows there is no subwoofer in the trunk. The specification is a 9 speaker system in the base model, and I've been told there is a subwoofer which makes sense because of the odd number of speakers, but if it's not in the trunk where is it? I'm assuming it's in one of the doors. Anyone know?

18:21... this is promising to see. Under "Walk-Away Door Lock". It does say "with a phone or key fob". I noticed in the owner's manual a key fob is not listed as a possible option. Maybe it was a simple oversight. I reviewed Tesla Australia website and others that provide English versions and I noticed they says the fob is for up to 2023 model 3 and all Model y's...but does not say 2024 Model 3 is compatible. I personally enjoy smart key entry with a fob. I hope this means a fob is still an option.

Im torn on the stalks. I can understand the shifting one. There is three ways to change gear. The auto reverse and drive does need improvement before most will be ok with it. But the indicator is dumb. Im flad they are physical buttons. But indicating while turning or going thru round abouts is gonna be a lot more tricky. The benefit of the stalk apart from muscle memory is the stalk doesnt change position when rotating the wheel. And its a lot harder to develop that bew muscle memory with a moving target. Glad to see the horn changed back. That is gonna save someone's litteral life.

I considered taking a test drive but I'm not driving 4 hours round trip the closest lot in another state. I'm not into electric cars. However I was willing to test one to see if I might feel different about it since I needed a new car. I prefer to buy used so that's another issue with electric cars I've heard. I honestly think eventually hybrids will be the best sellers soon. Because the range issue and Toyota agrees. I have always been a toyota or Lexus guy for reliability mainly. I dont understand why its so difficult to develop hydrogen fuel stations as Toyota had high hopes that hydrogen would replace electric cars. However many yrs. later only CA. Has hrdrogen stations. I imagine the US government was already too deep into electric cars. I appreciate your video! 👍 ,😊😮

In my honest option… I also just test drove the refreshed LR Model 3, my first impression was it’s pretty fast for a LR, front desk felt smaller (probably bc of interior lighting strip), doors sound & close much better. Seats where nice, but not to much of a difference from the old model 3 & they are not as comfortable as the model S. Interior is slightly better, sound system was great & the car was quieter (not to much of a difference but better). It appears that the rear is slightly wider than the old model 3 and about 3 inches longer. Still trying to get use to the new headlights. No stalks might take a week to get use too. Personally I’m going to wait until the Model 3 performance model comes out, rumor has it the front and rear are wider with a more aggressive look. I’m sure it’s going to be crazy fast as well.

On my test drive (UK) i noticed the steering weight was considerably lighter - i like a heavy weight and have it on max on my 2022 M3P, and noticed even setting it on it's heaviest setting it was noticeably lighter...which for me is not good as i want even more heavy than my current M3P has!. Main reason i like the heavier setting is when under full acceleration in the M3P, if the steering is on the lighter settings i find the g forces on the weight of my own arms can pull the steering slightly and with the rack being so high a ratio it actually pulls me off line, esp when cornering hard. When i first got my M3P that took me by suprise and only after i dialed weight up to max did it resolve it (and generally feel more stable all round). Light steering weight + sensitive high ratio rack, is not a good combination.

I am interested in highland performance m3 and would love to drive one. I did buy my 2018 lrm3 and 2020 lrmy without a test drive or anything but sort of want to test drive the new m3 performance. I think a black red could look good but don’t like that dark red. I am only wanting to test drive mostly due to no more stalk. Don’t think I would get a standard range. Don’t like tesla write. Out in back….liked just the T.

Owner of an M3P 2022 here. Driven the Highland LR recently too. Biggest improved for sure was the ride quality. Makes it a rly good daily now. Even though the Autopilot is still not on a good level here in Europe. Especially on cury/winding roads. lot of random slow downs like my m3p Regen felt the same for me in the LR. Same with sound quality. Rest are just minor things not worth switching. Ambient lighting is nice and overall more premium interior feeling. Biggest downside is the removal of the stalks. I have spoken with 2 sales persons and both told me their customers didnt bother of the removal in the Tesla Model 3, S and X . And i was like: are u kidding me?! How are u supposed to get new customers from different brands with such basics missing. For sure some wont bother it much. But something tells me a lot of ppl will see it as a big downside. In picture the front looks just bad. In person its not that bad. But still not a fan of it. The back on the other side looks nice. I hope the the new facelift m3p will be a lot better in terms of track performance.

How can you say the cabin/road noise is as loud as your preformance on 20 or 21 inch wheels. 😅 The difference is immense in wheel size already a huge difference. + The new model 3 is much better isolated than the previous model.

Top model 3. Don’t really care about the body difference. I’m not a fan of TESLA written on the back I haven’t tried park assist. Glad , my husband needs that.

FYI, those 2 speakers or in your case cutouts, are not for subs, they are for the rear base speakers. The sub woofer, if you have it, is in front of the rear sub trunk. The non refreshed model 3 has the sub to the right of the sub trunk. The premium sound system has ONE, not two subwoofers.
