Just picked mine up last night (upgraded from 22 premium seen in my profile). Many small differences add up to such a good experience. Cross shopped many competitors but ultimately wanted a manual AWD fun car and nothing else got me excited or offered this much livability for a family guy with 3 kids. 🍻

I bought a 2024 Outback Touring XT a month ago and have a few things to note about the 11.6 Starlink display: 1) You can change the A/C button to recirculate if you want, but mine hasn't really used outside air (probably because of the heat and humidity in Central TX). 2) The screen seems to "warm up" and is usually the slowest right after startup and when i haven't opened any menus. Once CarPlay/AA are loaded, you kind of forget about it. 3) Camera quality sucks and it doesn't make much sense as to why Subaru has chosen to cheap out on it.

I've owned a 2004 STi and currently own a 2012 STi and can't believe the prices of WRX's are at STi prices. New WRX number are better? But when you discontinue the STi Suby I would have to guess feels forced to do more and bring the WRX closer to the STi. Not a fan of the plastic. Wheels are getting better though and brakes were a needed upgrade. Agree on the info-system super sluggish as well on our 2021 Outback. I feel as though Suby has squeezed everything out of the boxer they can and other automakers are passing them. Still iconic.

I hope they fix the rear end and paint the cladding when they do a refresh eventually. The rear bumper and taillights are so ugly I just can’t get over it. The cladding does look a lot better painted.

WRX has a larger aftermarket community and more usable backseats. If you can get past the looks of the new WRX and Tesla esque iPad in the middle of the dash, I say get the WRX.

You hit a pothole and youre going to bend a rim. 19" rims? Why? 17" rims are the sweet spot. Could you even go down to 17's with those brakes? Probably not. Exhaust sounds weak. 3" catless FTW.
