Truly a great vehicle, no wonder it's a top seller in the US. But at that price, the Honda HRV RS which i believe is roughly 1.8M, could be a clincher. With the HRV you get Honda Sensing just as the same as the eyesight with a few more added tech, a more efficient 1.5L turbo and about 20 more HP, and of course you also get to have that Japanese reliability, though Subaru handling is much more refined and its ability to go offroad. May not be a fair comparison but really, the Crosstrek is gonna slaughter the HRV in terms of performance but its price and gas-guzzler could be a deal breaker as a match up to the HRV RS. Great review by the way.

Thanks for sharing your detailed thoughts! Indeed the HRV is a close comparison but the AWD of the Subaru may just be the key difference for people with the budget to spare

The drivetrain alone would beat HRV any day. Having AWD for 200k php difference is a steal and a selling point of this Subie.

Been a little interested in getting one for myself, I heard that Subarus are always on sale, talk about 200-300k discounts. And lately, one dealer is offering even 500k discounts as they will be going out of business soon. At these pricepoints I think they are a steal! A very affordable AWD at 1.2M (for L variant) and 1.4M (for S variant)

Is the PH not getting the Wilderness Crosstrek?

Seems like Motor Image PH made Eyesight standard among these units to stand out from the other crossovers in the segment. This, however, drove prices up and now it seems weirdly priced among the competition

4 yrs ago XV is priced at 1.3M w/o eyesight. Compared to cars today at this price, you will only miss out on the tech features.

In the USA the options are different. Wireless phone connections for both types of phones.

What you're paying for here is its superior ADAS and AWD and unique boxer engine compared to its competitors. But many don't care about that.
