When pastor Zai said that God gave you the desire to be married and he didn’t give it to you to torture you, although I know that, I just needed to hear that like that gave me so much hope to know that although sometime I get fearful of jumping back in this dating world that he got me 100% I just got have the faith to keep going 💗

Why is it as Christians, we try to find some loopholes to go around God's word? Especially dealing with Sexuality. The Lord is crystal clear on the boundaries he has set before us. Not to restrict us from " fun" but to protect us.

I have to respectfully disagree with the statement “the longer you’re single, the more indication that you’re too picky”….some of was are waiting for someone of like faith…at least they profess to have accepted Jesus as their personable Savior and a desire to please God…every thing else is negotiable…there is a shortage of saved men, in most circles there are more women than men…even men of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds.

Yes. There can be many other reasons why someone continues to be single, such as, they may live in an area where prospects are not available, they themselves might not be approachable or emotionally available, or they may see value in maturing for a period. That said, a movement that began over the last 25 years or so in which young women see their fantasies as "high standards" has and will cause many of them to do life alone. After making this remark, he spoke about some of the physical requirements that often keep women single for a prolonged period of time.

This really blessed me. I wrote on your IG that the church neglects singles and then wonders why it's so challenging for us to find partners. And then when they do speak to us, it is minimal at best and there's no practical and realistic advice. But I found that this session and the sermon a couple weeks ago on singleness is really laser focused on helping those of us who find this area challenging, and I am grateful for that. I wish there was a church like yours in my area. I live in Canada.

Ha I was thinking the same thing … do I need to move to the US??? I am in a mega-church in western Canada and that helps! I am in healthcare too and it can be a justification to be unavailable, really. From this series I learned to keep myself in view, no more wallflower. Heck I put myself on stage even as a volunteer, so be bold - find your inner American - get to a big church if you can and get out there!

“Fear will always keep you from what God has for you.” Amen! I love how the Pastor & his wife responded to the host saying he wouldn’t date a woman at his church. It’s time to grow up man. As Believers & grown adults, a man and a woman should be able to date & part in a mature manner if it doesn’t work out. Too many people are operating out of a fear based mindset & blocking their blessing. I really enjoyed this panel!

This is a great conversation. I am going to share that I am a Christian, born and raised in the church. My ultimate goal is to get married but I also do not believe in settling. Now the word “settling” can trigger a lot of people. I can elaborate if anyone would like to know what that means for me… I do think the urge to encourage marriage for the sake of the inability to have self control may not be wise. I think it misses the mark on building relationship and often times people realize down the line that they are not compatible resulting in divorce. Divorce isn’t an option for me so while I am 37 years wiser, I prefer to be selective in dating to enhance the longevity of my forever relationship. Hope that makes sense. ❤

I think we need to learn to manage our sexuality as single people. I made the mistake of losing my virginity at 19 & was stuck in a situationship on & off for 4 years. It was a mistake but it took me experiencing that mistake to realise the flaws in my family and how I was raise. I am 33 now and I have been on a journey of discovering my true self and unlearning the wrong things from my upbringing. I’ve been celibate for over 10 and a half years & have learnt from my dating experiences. We are so much more than sexual beings & there is so much more to connection than sexuality. We are intricately and uniquely made by God and the more we understand ourselves the more we will understand our needs in a partner. We are all broken to a degree but it’s about finding someone whose brokenness you can tolerate and work with. No one is fully healed and no marriage is perfect - even the most seemingly perfect Christian ones - but it’s about finding the God ordained partnership that works for YOU.

YOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! 👏👏👏 around 50 minute mark... I am thankful you brought up the point about grace for others. If someone is not or has not been living like their past for many years and is walking with Jesus, have grace from what they did in the past. AND I agree, the past relationships should come up before the wedding day. How we respond to others' at all should be in the same grace and love we would want for ourselves - and esp. with love and grace that God has given to us. And you right pastor - that is the church God gave you - keep stewarding the people well - tell them what God has given you to tell them, not what they want to hear!!!!!

I loved this conversation so much. But one critic i have and i hate doing this is that i feel that we missed out on encouraging people who maybe God hasnt intended marriage for but also forthose whose waiting season maybe longer. The direction should be to God not marriage. the hope we need to have is not just to be married but in the Lord. That even if marriage doesn't come, we still get Jesus and he is far more worth it than anything. I loved it though. So much

Very glad that this ministry came across my timeline. I loved hearing both the questions and real life responses, along with the spiritual wise-counsel. I loved that the pastor knew himself enough and had desire to please God by remaining a virgin until marriage, and choosing to stay away from engaging in situations that he knew what cause him to "put his feelings over his faith". For the credit score question, as with some of the others.....the bible tells us about being "unequally yoked" and that covers just about every situation that will effect our future in marriage, building a family that is strong, emotionally stable, and God-centered. Advise for a person over 50....Take your time, pray and wait for God's reply because HE ALWAYS HAS BETTER FOR US. God's way and promise is "to bring us to an expected end that is good". God bless you for speaking to people at their level of need.

And sometimes....the season we are in does not align with our desire for a mate/spouse. To everything there is a time and season. Maybe the season is to grow closer in our relationship with God and our knowledge of ourself so we will recognize the mate that God has for us. Be patient, trust God, and don't rush His preparation process. Our timing is not God's timing.

How many men “settle” regarding their requirements for a woman’s preferences yet they always tell women that they should.

I think some people wait for the person they are dating to catch up to their expectations of them and put more tension on the relationship by blaming that person for the delay. That is outside of them waiting to catch up to their own self imposed expectations with fragile timelines and self, social, or relational disassociation of priorities. My suggestion is be authentic even if it leads to rejection. You will thank yourself later and so will your future.

It is not the boyfriend/girlfriend's responsibility to pay the others bills. However, if they want to help out of the goodness of their heart, that's up to them. I saw a video that most men know by six months if she's wifey material.

The laugher in the room while men are opening up says alot... alot of women arent really mature enough to handle a man's vulnerability... they are speaking about their degrees, money, status but lack character and respect. im just completely turned off and this is one of the reasons why i believe men should really surround themselves with true men of God over everything!!
