Rode to Nova Scotia and then back across Canada to Niagara Falls and then back down to Illinois. An amazing trip and yes the Cabot Trail is an absolute must!!!

I went to boot camp in San Diego in 83 and was stationed there for a year before getting sent to the fleet in Norfolk, Va. I loved the time I spent there and have been back on business several times as a civilian. I love your channel and hope to meet you some day in person. But I can tell you there is NO way I would ride my Harley back to California these days. That place has become a sewer and way too dangerous. I hope you have a safe trip and look forward to watching more of your videos!

Discovered your channel a few months ago and have enjoyed watching your back catalogue of videos. One training course I took (we don't call it a class in the UK) that I would recommend, if it's available in the USA, would be the Advance Motocycle Riding course. This is based on the police riding course but is modified for the general public (there is no pursuit training and you cannot exceed the road speed limits on the course either). It is a one to one course that lasts between six months and a year depending on your progress and the amount of time you have for practicing the skills. It culminates in a riding assessment with an "national observation officer" where every one of the riding skill you've learned is assessed on a pass/fail basis and you must pass all of them. No allowances are made for the type of bike you ride and doing it on a big Harley is quite demanding. It was great fun but it really improved my riding making it much more fluid as well as somewhat faster and much safer.

The 2024 CVO Bagger both looks and sounds nice. Enjoy your trip back to California. The Pacific Coast highway is fantastic. It is definitely one of the top 5 rides scenic you can do. Make sure to take plenty of pictures along with your video. Take time to stop and tour the Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Don't forget to ride down to Pebble Beach. Happy Trails. 10:53

I've toured the Hurst Castle. It's amazing! I lived in California for 20+ years. It's a beautiful state (atleast it use to be). I'm looking forward to touring it on my Harley

Holy crap! I plan on doing my cross country trip this year as well. It's going to be at the end of May and into June. Video to follow with route plans and destinations.

@@RidingandWrenching may I suggest when you cross into Nova Scotia ride the west coast [shore road] to Canso causeway cape breton and ride cabot trail clockwise many great stops along the way. then ride the east coast of Nova Scotia to Yarmouth and take the high speed ferry to Bar Harbor. If you want company let me know i will go with you!!

Run to the Hills is a great event! It's on my "can't miss" list of bike events

I plan on going to Run to the Hills this year. Look forward to meeting all the KZreadrs I've been following for years there. I'm not going on any epic trips this year like you are but I promised myself I'm going to attend some more bike rallies and events this year. I didn't get a touring bike to do local rides, I want to tour on it. I'm currently in the Lejeune Area of NC. Headed to Daytona, Myrtle Beach, Run to the Hills, and if Robert Simmons does another anniversary event ride I want to attend that. Going to be a great year of riding. Even better after I stop working but that's a little time from now. 7 years and counting.

This is my last year. Next year I'm going on the mother of all rides. I'm riding to Alaska, over to NY (and eastern Canada) then south to Florida before returning to Memphis

Cue, I also own 3 bikes. Two are Harleys, and the third is a Wing Tour automatic. I know you've already made your decision on the next bike, but I've ridden Indians, BMW K1600GA, R18B, and even though the last bike I bought was a Harley, the auto Wing IMO is the most incredible tour bike I've ever ridden. It's not even close to me. There are times I want the HD experience, but I want the Wing experience much more often.

I can't do an automatic. I'd get a Gold Wing, but it would have to be a manual transmission. I've heard that the DCT Wings don't like slow riding...I use all of my bikes for slow speed practicing.

Good video... We love our DJI mic. Have been using it since its release. Awe Maaan, We are not getting home until April then heading back out around May 1st. Oh well, perhaps we will meet on the road.

I really need to get more organized. I usually fly by the seat of my pants; seems like every time I plan things other life factors get in the way!!! But it is always good to plan!!! But if you ever get up to Sikeston MO from Memphis let me know I am only like an hour north of there!!!

Plans are always subject to change! The Nova Scotia ride was supposed to happen last year! I've already started working on plans for 2025. I will be riding to Alaska. I think I've ridden through Sikeston before. I'll definitely let you know the next time I'm headed your way.
