    Thank you for the feedback! Comments like this give me the motivation to keep creating content. Personally, I believe Harley should have some preload already set on the bike since dealers aren't doing this for the customer. Even though it's very easy to adjust the suspension, it might be intimidating do some people.

  • @richardrussell500
    @richardrussell50011 ай бұрын

    It is amazing to me that HD is still using shocks that require manual adjustment... a proper design would be electronically controlled at the dash. I have never owned a HD with quality stock shocks. I do hear that these shocks are a big improvement over previous years. Having to manually adjust the shocks for each ride is ridiculous. My two cents :-)

    @richardrussell500 there are bikes on the market at less than half the price of this CVO with electric suspension adjustment. A 15 minute video + tools for what should be a 2 second procedure in 2023. Harley is a joke!!

    @@diyeveryday67 I own a HD... my 3rd one. have they been the best bikes I have ever owned in 40+ years of riding? nope. the problem is the foreign cruiser market is almost non-existent. I have friends who have crossed over to BMW and Indian. my first HD was a leaker due to poorly machined parts. my second HD had bad lifters, destroyed the cam and eventually sumped and grenaded the engine. my 3rd HD is doing well so far. less than 2000 miles. however, I am painstakingly searching for the dash rattle from hell. this will be my last HD if the engine goes south. my favorite bike of all time was my 2007 Yamaha Stratoliner 113ci engine. I rode that bike for 55,000 miles over a ten year period. it never gave me one problem. not one. with D&D slipon exhaust and mild tune with aftermarket tuner, this bike pulled like a freight train and had more HP than I ever needed. if they still made that bike, I would be riding that instead of HD. it was also air cooled, never overheated and never consumed excessive amounts of oil. every metric cruiser I have owned has had stock suspension that worked much better than all 3 of my HDs. my 2020 trike suspension was so BAD I had to lower the rear tire pressure from 26 to 20 psi. it was like riding a bucking bronco. it was the absolutely worst suspension I have ever experienced. my wife refused to ride it until I fixed it. I was unwilling to dump $1500 in rear shocks. so the tire pressure went way down. and yes, having to manually adjust your rear shocks on a "premium" motorcycle with a spanner wrench is ludicrous. so, when you change from 1-up to 2-up or 2-up to 1-up, you have to remove the saddlebag and make the adjustment. and this is on their top of the line motorcycle! the money they are getting for these first-year bikes is ridiculous. the amount of money spent on these two wheels could easily buy 3 metric cruisers with money left over. : - )
