2024 Porsche 911 S/T Black Looks Serious

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

To commemorate the six decades since the inception of the 911, Porsche has innovatively designed a distinctive, special edition model, sure to excite collectors and aficionados alike. Unveiled on a recent Tuesday evening, the 2024 Porsche 911 S/T pays tribute to a lesser-known racing variant of the 911 S from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Weighing in at 3,056 pounds, it's the featherweight of the 992-generation 911 models, and carries a hefty price tag of $291,650, positioning it as the priciest among its peers. Porsche intends to produce a limited run of only 1,963 units, and considering the hefty price tag, anticipation is high, and availability is expected to be scarce.
This new model is the brainchild of Porsche Motorsport's GT division, the creators behind models like the 911 GT3. The S/T is a model crafted with the road in mind, amalgamating features of the GT3 RS and the GT3 Touring, and adorned with a series of vintage design accents. It incorporates the sleeker bodyshell from the GT3, while integrating the wheel arch cutouts and carbon-fiber doors from the RS, presenting a harmonious blend of classic and modern design elements.
Furthering its uniqueness, the S/T is equipped with the same specialized engine as the GT3 RS - a 4.0-liter, 9000-rpm flat-six, but with enhanced camshafts compared to the GT3, elevating the maximum power output to a robust 518 hp.
This blend of traditional and contemporary elements encapsulated in the Porsche 911 S/T, presents a unique offering to Porsche enthusiasts, combining retro aesthetics with advanced technology and performance. Whether for the avid collector or the driving purist, this limited edition model stands as a testimony to Porsche's continuous innovation and reverence for its storied past.

Compared to the air-cooled 911s of yesteryear, all new 911s look like whales.

I have both. You can sense the lineage of the old car in the new car, regardless of size.

@@JulienFruchier Great. How about this? You keep the new car and gift me the old one for Christmas. Go ahead. Ask Santa. I promise. I've been good this year.

Another incredibly-priced 911, made out of unobtanium, already pre-purchased by Porsche's anointed customers 25 years ago during a secret seance, that no one will ever drive nor see as it will be bubble-wrapped in silk, hidden 3 miles underground in a billionaire's 400 car garage. If Porsche were really serious about wanting people to drive these cars, they'd make 19,630 of them - not 1963. The entire Porsche game is almost as farcical as Ferrari these days. So why even bother road-testing such unavailable things just to tease us into misery? This is akin to flaunting a stripper in front of convicted criminals. Never going to feel, never going to touch. Get back in your cell! Boring!!
