There’s another guy heavily modding a VR1 and he’s mounted those long springs and is also playing with spindles from the CC and 600R race sled along with valving and the Hygear setup - is Bruce gonna try something like that too?

This is killer - Indy Specalities is just an hour from me! I've notioced the sled but wasn't sure if it was from last year or not, but now I remember that machine was for sale at some point. I am REALLY hoping we see an XC9R some day.

The only thing I wonder about is long spring. Moving so far away isn't there a lot flex from the new attach point to the spring coil there by not using nearly as much coil tension? Not sure if I explained this question correctly.

not sure if I follow but yes there is much more mechanical advantage which is why the spring rate is so much higher then a standard spring

yes. I do not know the amount though. I dont like stating HP figures as all depends whos dyno etc

That 900 last year was fast. 3 lengths on an 850 if I remember correctly.

give or take 3 lengths yes. but the feeling of the sled corner to corner is leaps and bounds from an 850. this should be even more wild!

Jesse have you heard anything about Polaris possibly making the 9R an option in the VR1 ?

depends on the build and what you send in etc. I would call Indy Specialties and speak with them about a similar build etc. Bruce sent them a full 9R so that would be differnet then you sending in something else if taht makes sense!
