Bought a brand new 2013 Nissan pathfinder got it up to 250,000 miles with 0 issues never gave me any problems, I then upgraded to a 2018 Nissan pathfinder and would use it to drive from California to New York and back a lot for work and I got that one up to 320,000 miles also with 0 issues. I now upgraded to a 2022 Platinum and so far have put 98,000 miles also with 0 issues. So in my personal experience the pathfinder has more then proven it’s reliability to me. Just keep up with maintenance and it Is a solid SUV

Wow that's great! I'm glad to hear good news about Nissan's reliability. I think the way in which they're driven might also have something to do with breakdown issues.

I agree. The styling for the 2024 Pathfinder is improved. The price for this Rock Creek trim seems really competitive.
This vehicle is not in the same league as the 4Runner. Heck in my opinion it may be able to compete with the KIA Telluride.
It's a really cool suv but it only compares to the highlander can't be compared to the 4runner

How? Both the Pathfinder and the 4 runner are midsize SUVs i
I own a 2022 Platinum Pathfinder, the Rock Creek is the better model for daily use. The armored rear area holds chicken feed better than unarmored Platinum.
Overall, the Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek is a good buy. I tried to purchase one at my dealership here in Northern California but there were none to located at dealerships within 400 miles. Past that distance the dealerships had a pretty step add-on price. So, I am still looking. Thanks for the review, Ben.
I purchased a 2024 Rock Creek and had one major problem. That is that the passenger seat height is not adjustable at all. My wife is the primary driver, and she is 5 and 3, and even the driver's seat has to be set the highest, with extra cushioning. When she sits in the passenger seat she looks like a grade schooler. If the airbag inflated against a short passenger in this condition, will her face be safe? Could Nissan provide taller seat rails?
Any suggestions for a more family-friendly alternative to a 4Runner? We need something that can handle some very rough "roads" like the 4Runner can, but the 4Runner is small and clunky in the 2nd row, and the optional third row leaves absolutely no cargo space. I love that the Pathfinder seats can let people into the third row even with a carseat installed (not shown in this video, but a major plus for those of us with small kids). Sometimes people who actually want their kids to be comfortable need an off-roady vehicle too! 😅
Ben, come on... 4 Runner? I own 2023 Pathfinder, not Rock Creek, just SL, but still. I love this car, despite all its quirks and cons (e.g. google for stop & start system /high pitch sound / fuel pump issue). However I would never ever think about comparing this car to 4 Runner. New Honda Pilot... maybe... still a stretch though. This is a unibody family hauler just like you pointed out in your review. It's great for what it is, but not for rough terrain exploration. This is still the domain of 4 Runners, Broncos (Bronco Sport is not a Bronco) and Wranglers of this World. One buys Rock Creek for the looks, not for its terrain capabilities. I'm a fan of your channel but please allow me to say that imo Pathfinder 2022+ and 4 Runner should never be put next to each other in one sentence... ever ;)

It may not destroy the 4runner at specifically offroading but it based in reviews is probably most off road capable unibody 3 row family hauler on the market. So you get more versatility than a 4 runner. More seating standard, 6000lb tow, more cargo space, knowing toyota probably a better interior and features, at the cost of not being as capable off road but still pretty capable. The 4 runner will also cost more when you select all the options that would put it on level ground with the rock creek feature wise.
Im leasing one now. i love it. I wish they life it another 1.5 and bigger tires Its really low to be consider off road

they should have been widen the fender and change the design into like capital A. like that of 4runner fender.... so we cant put bigger tyre and lift a bit. that would attrack more customer if they do this.
Isn’t this a mono body now? So more of a UTV than the body on frame 4 runner in the SUV segment.
between these two, which one has quieter more refined cabin?
What's the update on the new xterra? Saw your video saying it's coming. Where did you hear the rumor? I've been bugging Nissan Corporate for 2 years now.
Do these come with a sunroof?
The 3rd gen Pathfinder (a body on frame and a true 4x4) could compete with the 4Runner back in the day. This Pathfinder competes with soccer mom SUVs, crossovers, and minivans. As a daily driver, the Pathfinder has many points in that area over the 4Runner. As for capability, even the SR5 would embarrass the Mallfinder Rock Bottom edition.
Same as 2023, nothing new, I have a 2023 RC Oreo, and love it..
im just wondering, isn't those pathfinders underpowered a little bit for its weight?? I'm just looking at buying one!
does this car have automatic trunk opening?
Anyone put a lift kit on this thing? Sucks that it only has 7” clearance.
We purchased a Platinum Pathfinder a few weeks ago, the seats suck with no side bolstering (in comparison to Murano), bottom of the seat doesn't cool right (your back will freeze before it cools your Butt), no anti-freeze in over flow, Shit chunks in the paint...., & Emergency braking does not work when someone walks in front of you or behind you....( this worked great on our 2 year old Platinum Murano) Hello Nissan America NOT happy
For The People 🙌
Thank you for the review. Planning on getting a white trim with black top Rock Creek next month. Very competitive price cause Toyota 4Runners are great SUV’s but the gauging these dealers are doing for them is ridiculous. Toyota dealership near me had a used limited 4runner 7 passenger for 50K? What??? Now they want to get you to buy a 2024 tacomas for 55k plus. Thats insane to me. Also new highlanders one of which I own went up this year as well. 55k minimum is what Toyota dealers want. Are they not seeing people struggling? Anyways I’m definitely getting this rock creek
Ben you need to make another channel about your farm or rural lifestyle. Good review on the Rock creek but it really needs a little lift.
Nice looking its the only one i would get but I’m not sure it’s an 4 runner competitor, and upper 30s to 40 would be more like it,i wonder how the lease looks then quality doesn’t matter
Great vehicle.
What's your take on the new Santa Fe?

I like this SUV. Very nice.
Clickbait Ben Hardy does it again... Lol... 20k people hate watched this video. Lol
The Pathfinder is a pavement princess. Not the SUV it was in the 80s. This current model would be destroyed by the trails that a Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, and Toyota 4 Runner would easily navigate. It just isn’t in the same segment and hasn’t been so for many years.

I would second this. My wife has one and it's more like a Subaru than a trail vehicle.
Android or Apple car play?
It’s nice to see Nissan is updating things like the key fob, door buttons, turn stocks, along others. They’ve been using the same stuff since like 07. Only thing is as an off road style why is their no recovery hooks?
Nissan needs an updated xterra ,this isn't for mud and rugged use ...Having said that I wouldn't touch a toyota they're garbage
The 4Runner is a try off roader. I’m not sure how well this would do. I will say I’m sure that pathfinder is better for daily on road use. And looks great

That's a pretty ballsy statement to make, that it "decimates the 4Runner" The 4Runner is proven the world over and continues to dominate the market and the off-road world.
I had a '99 4Runner with 380,000k before I sold it in 2012. This thing will never get to half that life!
This is unibody and 4Runner is ladder frame these are not the same category of vehicle. This pathfinder compares to only the highlander in this sense which it is still wildly outclassed by lmao 😂Nissan is garbage and will always be the vq35 blows head gaskets all day long so have fun with that and good luck ever touching 200k mileage

Toyota is weak junk, my sequoia lost it's head gasket at 227,000 miles my xterra is still rolling with 400,000 ...I'll never buy another toyota shitcan again.
Well I personally feel the 4runner markup is ridiculously overpriced for what it is, I'd rather buy that any day over any Nissan product, especially after warranty..

I prefer my 1993 SE Pathfinder better
The Toyota 4 runner is still King of midsize SUVS in My opinion.

Pray tell what are the data you base this statement on? The pathfinder has a VQ35de engine that is as reliable as the sun and Nissan has never had engine sludge problems like some years of Toyota V6s. Neither model line has had any rust issues in the recent past ( both had issues a quarter century ago). So there is no data to support your assertion.

@@PQ28120 Well yeah, you're not wrong about that. Toyotards are the most insufferable people you can come across in the car enthusiast community. My point was you can't compare anything Nissan has right now to a 4Runner mainly because Nissan doesn't have a single Body-on-frame SUV with a solid rear axle. Maybe an Xterra in the future if Nissan were smart enough.
No sunroof
the title is a disgrace Ben…
