Notice to the people whining about the turn signal volume. During an oil change at a Nissan dealer I asked if the volume could be lowered. Service tech said “sure we can place a 3M noise dampening pad where the noise comes out of”. I said okay, and turn signal noise was reduced by 50%! So there you go, improvise instead of whining people😂

Perfect rental car. I got one for 5 days. Lots of driving. Only had to fill the tank while returning. Outstanding economy for a gas car. The CVT will always be unnerving for someone used to traditional shifts. But I also noticed that the engine RPM was actually below 2k even while cruising at 80. (no wonder it achieves the fuel economy that it does)

i think the Altima offers the sportiest appearance out of the 3 mid sized sedans and that is a huge selling factor especially considering Nissan fixed their CVT issue, but at the end of the day it's still a Nissan, and the Accord/ Camry is the best value for the buck. the Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring (which isn't really in the same class as this sedan. ) is about the same size, has a sportier appearance, proven reliability, better handling, and best tech for a little less $$. truly depends on what you're looking for.

sure, but if you look around you still see Y2K Altimas on the road. as long as you change your oil, and what most people don't do SERVICE THE CVT, you can get a good 200K miles out of an Altima before major issues arise. that being said the best value for your money when you're looking at Altimas is going to be the SR AWD w/ premium package. (12in infotainment, bose audio, and upgraded leather sport seats.) about $34.5K out the door. @@ronch550

It might not be the fastest sedan out there but it's damn fun to drive on curvy roads. Although you have to accept the fact that with 19 inch wheels and stiffer suspension it's not the most plush ride but you trade that for a surprisingly fun car to drive.

The reason why these engines are so good is the torque, they are tuned to deliver peak torque at 3500 RPM not 5500 like their Japanese rivals. The CVT is kind of bouncy off the start in some low speed situations, definitely the worst part about the car but not a deal breaker considering everything else. It was like they put all their eggs into long distance highway cruising and it paid off. 40mpg @ 80mph, with minimal wind noise, 10/10 comfortable seats, long wheel base and easy to keep tracking straight with a functional adaptive cruise... I've sat 4 hours straight in this thing and got out completely fine. Brakes are solid too and loaded up with passengers the vehicle doesn't change its character at all.

I will say, the newer Altimas turn signal is VERY loud because I had to turn down my volume when it came on 😂. I drive an older model and it's almost silent

Nice well developed awd auto. How does it compare with a Subaru Legacy 2.5? Which drives better in your opinion?

I could tell in the video the turn signal was a bit loud. So many cars these days have goofy buttons/switches, huge super bright screens that blind you at night when driving, and glass roofs that shatter and or leak water into the interior. CVT trans that fail.

It doesn't look much different from my 2019 besides the wheels and the display. I am sure it still has the problem of skipping tracks and or stations.. when you hit a bump just too perfectly.. wish the 2024 would have ac seats too to give it more of an edge over older models. Also, my 2019 has auto roll down for both driver and front passenger, so that's weird😅

It's a breath of fresh air to see a 2024 model year car with an analog tach and speedo and physical buttons for the climate controls. That's becoming more and more rare with these latest models coming out and that makes me sad. Not everything needs to be digital and/or touch screen
