@@QueTheChaotic Doing alright. Switching cars around as well the last few months. Got rid of the ZLE and bought a 2003 Corvette Z06. The ZLE was too insane for street driving. The wife just got a 2024 C8, so back in the Corvette world pretty deep!

I started watching you for your a-spec manual integra and now I have the same exact one you had. Youre right, after losing my mom I just drove to get my mind off it. This kind of pain is one time cant heal but there is plenty of good in this life that we can appreciate at the same time.

I’ve really been enjoying your Miata videos. Condolences about your dad. My dad (passed five years ago) got me into sports cars, and I finally was able to get a ‘23 RF GT 6MT last year, which he would have appreciated. And kudos to you for getting one in Zircon Sand, which I got too, before I realized how much hate the color gets on KZread and online. But in the real world, I’ve gotten many compliments on the color. What’s been your experience with it? Enjoy your car; I look forward to your future videos! (P.S. Yeah, it ain’t slow. Any idiot can go fast in a straight line in an electric car. A real driver can go fast in an MX-5…)

I’ve done pretty much all of the MX-5 Things mods to my ND2. They are awesome & Sergey is very responsive & helpful when you email him questions. I definitely recommend their products. I’m pretty sure I live about 10-20 miles from you. I’m just south of the airport. May your father rest in peace.

Condolences on your loss, Que. Hopefully the Miata gives you some relief, even if its just in a small way. I've done mostly cosmetic mods so far to my '24 Club BBR (shorter antenna, black emblems, tinted side markers and side turn signals, and a ZunSport full mesh grill), but I did also add the Good-win Racing RoadsterSport SuperStreet exhaust, which I'm really loving so far. On Friday I'm having coilovers and swaybars installed, as well as getting a performance alignment and corner balancing. And I've got a custom aftermarket steering wheel on order, which may take a month or two to arrive. That should be it for this year, although next year I may look at different wheels and/or tires. I don't know if there's anything else beyond that that I'm interested in. With these things I think the car will be pretty much perfect for a fun, weekend toy.

I'm in complete agreement with you. I've put many, many miles on the 4 previous Miatas I've owned and am now on my 5th. I have to get new rubber every season because of my love for driving. My 2020 Club has racked up 20K miles since October "23. Most of those miles were spent thru the N.E. winter.

So sorry for your loss Q. Love the Miata content. I'm picking up my ND3 GT soft top manual in 2 days and I can't wait! I'm binging all the ND3 videos in the meantime. Mine is machine gray which will look sick all blacked out in my opinion. I will be using the car on the street, so I won't be doing too many performance mods. I like the soft tuning for comfort, but the body roll also makes the car feel more engaging when you push it. I'm looking forward to customizing the appearance and maybe adding an exhaust. That's what's so great about the Miata, it's a fantastic platform to build on...or leave totally stock...whatever you want to do.

I believe you're talking about the Verus Engineering diffuser/ flatfloor. From what I can tell, it's a great kit and they've designed it using CFD. If you're looking for functional aero, it seems like Verus is the one to go with. I hope to own this car in the near future as well. I've always enjoyed riding my motorcycle so this seems like a good in-between daily. Not that I don't enjoy my current car, but there's something so pure with the open top experience IMO. For me, I found Autocross to be a cheap and safe way to learn the limits of the car. Went to my first event a week ago and will definitely do it again. Sorry for your lost man. I do the exact same thing to clear my mind and take a break from life for a moment.

My favorite ND mods were antenna plug from Flying Miata (who listens to an/fm?), sequential smoked led signals, led smoked side markers, led bulb in cabin, black stainless muffler tips, shelf for center glove box, red machined aluminum battery brace to match red club oil cap. Soon replacing tires to 215/45/17 on stock BBS

I'm still on my first tank of gas on my new RF Club! I just don't get a lot of chances to drive it right now. So I'm still getting used to it. My impression, though, is that the gearing is stupidly short. They could have made it a 5-speed. I always jump from 4 to 6. And I often find that I need to be one gear higher than I usually would use (in other cars) to cruise at a particular speed. I guess it's a combination of short gearing and a broad torque curve - it's really a great engine. It almost hurts to say this, but it's probably a better engine than my old Elise.

I bought a 2024 club zircon sand soft top, love the color, much better in person, funnest car I've ever had. No regrets whatsoever. Sorry to hear about your father. I lost mine also and he used to love convertibles so I know he's looking down on me in my Miata smiling. Yeah a guy I work with asked me if they make these cars in a man's version. I said yes, why, do you want to buy one for your boyfriend? Summer starts June 21st. I'd much rather have a slower car and drive it fast than have a fast car and only be able to drive it slowly.

1k miles in a month? Damn! I'm here almost 2 years into owning my ND2 and I'm still under 5k miles. The only mods I've done are nylon door bushings, since they're so cheap and easy to install, and the CarbonMiata Spyder Grille with Halo lights, which I had a local MX-5 specialist shop install and wire up. You can be certain that the grille is a solid mod to go with because it's installed as standard on official Spec Miata builds.

Yo Que ! If you want to get some more power out of the mx5 get a Mazda sauce tune by Justin Freeman . He is the best skyactiv tuner and gets incredible power from these engines

Verus engineering. It definitely looks good if you have the mazda rear skirt accessory installed first, it probably still looks good w/o it. Accessory side skirt I don't recommend. The front one is okay. You're on summer tires already lol, so don't forget to rotate. But I find tires wear evenly on this car anyway

Ordered a mod that'll be here in a month or two huh? Carbon Miata badges? Picked up my red RF Club Saturday. Put smoked turn signals, red vent rings, and carbon miata gloss black badges. Pretty disappointed in the quality of the badges. Will throw on my Goodwin Race exhaust soon, but I'm like you, no major mod plans, just some subtle aesthetic changes, car is pretty solid out of the box. Sorry about your old man. Hopefully he appreciated your continued passion with cars. Glad you're able to get in the zone with the Miata during this challenging time, today was my first fun cruise with mine.
