    One of the thing I am wondering in this draft cycle is why is Tyler Smith not that high in the projections. I think he will be really good especially if he is NOT played as 5.

    Buzelis at 7.. best possible outcome. Ware at 14.. love cronin 34 i reckon we need a shooter SG/SF (portland can dream of Tyson slipping to 34) Mogbo at 14..portland were this year draft winners..

    First of all, I think the spurs would be fine taking Sarr or Clingan, because I currently don't think we have the right big to pair with Wemby (love you Zach, but you aren't the guy). Second, I would rather have Carter at eight if he is still around. He has that nasty that we need, and he can get the minutes right away. Dillingham isn't a spur in my book.

    @@NoCeilingsNBA a lot of the buzz I've been hearing this week makes me think Carter won't be around at eight, but if he is I'd love to have him. When I watch him, I get Bane/White/Holiday/Smart vibes. At a minimum I see him being a motor and a guy that drives competition and development of our young guards. I think he, Castle and Bub are the guys I'm most excited about in this draft. I personally would lose my mind if we got Castle and Carter somehow.

    Interesting Top 3 Mock and made me rethink just a little...plus I think Clingan will go #1 to the Hawks (been saying that for a month). The Hawks have Trae Young at PG (will not take Reed) and need a center to replace Capela...Clingan at #1. He is more NBA ready than Sarr for a playoff push. I also 100% agree that Reed fits the Rockets and the Rockets fit Reed, which most don't talk about...FVV mentoring and Udoka coaching him will get them most out of Reed. I see a future 3-guard rotation of Amen, Cam and Reed...what a great versatile trio. I am sure that the Wiz are being bombarded with teams wanting to trade up to #2 for Clingan, Sarr, Reed or another player. So my rethinking is that the Rockets may want to trade-up to #2 so they can secure Reed...and I think the Wiz want to get a top talent at the top of this draft, so they will not want to move too far down the draft. If they are sold on anyone other than Reed it would make sense for them to trade down to #3 and pickup some additional assets, while saving a little on cap space. Here is a Rockets/Wiz possible trade: Wiz get: Arron Holiday

    Amen and Cam are small forwards and not shooting guards. Anyway, I don’t think the Rockets would burn the #3 pick on an undersized 2 guard with dinosaur arms who lacks athleticism.

  • @NOJSIP

    @NOJSIP

    Ай бұрын

    @@slickrick8046 I chuckle...heh...while you make yourself look foolish. Can you answer why the Rockets split Cam's minutes between SG/SF if he is only a SF? The Rockets also play Amen at PG many times. "with dinosaur arms who lacks athleticism" statement shows your lack of knowledge on Reed. Explain why he averaged 2.5 steals per game for 8th best in the NCAA last season, plus had .7 blocks per game from his athletic 42" 2024 vertical NBA Combine best). The Rocket will draft him because he fits perfect next to Amen and Cam (3-guard rotation of the future).

  • @slickrick8046

    @slickrick8046

    @@NOJSIP Not as foolish as your imaginary trade ideas. Reed isn’t going to get away with drifting away from his man and jumping passing lanes in the pros…especially with Udoka. Also, he was not locking guys down head up defensively. Reed averaged 29 minutes a game and was only able to average 8 shots a game. Drafting a guy that high who will have to take years to work on his athleticism is a dangerously risky proposition. Dalton Knecht would be a better option for the Rockets.

  • @slickrick8046

    @slickrick8046

    Ай бұрын

    @@NOJSIP Also, Cam & Amen would play at the two out of need because the Rockets really only have one serviceable 2-guard with Green. Plus Green has been handling the ball a lot as a de facto PG. Freed also missed some games. This is also why there’s a bunch of free agent and trade rumors of the Rockets going after a shooting guard.

    Reed only averaged 8 FG attempts per game. He’s going to have a much harder time getting shots off and getting to the rim in the pros. He’s an undersized 2 guard with dinosaur arms. If my Rockets are smart they will select Dalton Knecht who’s a true 3-level scorer and the most NBA ready player in this draft.
