It’s incredible the you can find numerous videos on KZread and others sources on how cars are made at the factory, they show QC workers meticulously inspecting each panel gap with assorted gauge tools and marking panels for adjustments or paint correction. So after watching these videos you are led to believe that these workers are quick yet methodical and meticulous building your car. Apparently those shots must be just for the videos in order to get buyer confidence up in order to sell cars! We’re spending $45k or a lot more for a car which requires panel alignment at dealership or by owner is absurd. Yes, I realize this are mass produced cars but it’s the workers on the line that just don’t seem to have in pride in their craft any more. I’ll keep my 2011, yes it’s not perfect but I think it’s a bit better built back then when compared to some of todays cars. I’ll get off the soap box. Thanks for sharing this panel adjusting tutorial video, it will help to line up some issues on my son 2023 Mach1.

The 2023 adjusts the same way so it should help. This shouldn’t be an issue on a new car, and many dealers will make small adjustments before delivery, but it seems like quite a few are off a bit.

From Australia - THANK YOU! Having just told the dealer from whom I am buying a 2024 model that I will NOT take delivery if, as on the previous 2015 and 2019 models I bought, the bonnet is misaligned. Who'd have thought it was so easy to fix?

I get the mass produced argument but that kinda goes out the window for me when you want me to pay 60-70k for a mustang, or any car for that matter. Expectations go up the more these manufacturers and dealers charge and unfortunately the quality doesn’t match.

It's alarming. It's not only Ford. Chevy has issues too. I walked away from a lot of Mustangs and Camaros because of the really poor quality. It's like quality control doesn't exist there. The bumper cover where the rear taillights meet is the worst I've seen on any car. It doesn't matter what year 2016+ Mustang and Camaro. And I looked at several 2024 Mustangs. They corrected that alignment but the bumper itself has molding issues. It's like it has ripples in it now. That's inexcusable for the price they are asking these days.

You know a car has poor quality if you have to make a video about correcting issues on a 60k Mustang. You should not have to align bumpers. And some things you can't correct. The lower rear bumper cover has a terrible issue in casting. There are ripples in the bumper itself. I have a Ford Mustang and the quality isn't there. I'm going German next. I know repairs are expensive If you need them, but I won't have to worry about poor fitment and low quality materials.
