Got the 2024 Outlander SEL a week ago and it is downright amazing. Already had 1000kms on it within a week. I like the silent cabin, and the 20 inch wheels seats you higher than most suv's in the segment. Also comes with an impressive feature set. Value for the money.

Some misunderstanding here; there is no CVT box, in fact one of the nice things about the Outlander PHEV is that it has no gearbox at all. When driving mainly on petrol, at most speeds the transmission of the engine to the front wheels is through a fixed ratio; otherwise the engine drives an alternator which charges the battery and powers the electric motors.

  • @brianblackford2224

READ BEFORE YOU BUY! When it comes to the the mi pilot assist. You have to have it in cruise for it to activate and keep you centered. Then everytime you switch lanes via turn signal it will beep at you when you enter the other lane and it locks on to the lines again. So left turn signal, switch lanes, locks on with green steering wheel lit... BEEP. Then pass the car and go back to the right lane, locks on.... BEEP. No where to turn that off and super annoying with no volume control either. Also, when the Mi Pilot active you can't turn off the alarm for when you drift to a line on either side. This is usually the persons doing over the assist but it will give you a BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP when that happens and you can't turn that off either. So if those types of alarms bother you then this is not the car for you. I like my previous car which was a Hyundai and I could have the steer lane assist on all the time, cruise or no cruise and shut the annoying sounds off. I regret buying this car because of this...

Really good choice especially since the Mitsubishi dealers aren't marking up the MSRP. Pretty much what you build on the website is what you can expect to pay when you actually buy it.

@@thomasperez8978 Depends where you live. They recently experienced a Canada wide MSRP increase of around $500 dollars. So after the discount you're probably paying the same thing as before. Still good value for the money though. Just decline their tactics to make you purchase warranty lol.

Only a 2.5 4 cylinder. They've gotten in bed so much with Nissan I wish they would get the green light to shoehorn the venerable 3.5/3.7 V6 from Nissan into an Outlander GT model. Borrow an automatic transmission from Nissan while they're at it, add 5-6k to the pricetag and you would have a VERY compelling option coming in just shy of 40k.

My stepdaughter purchased a new Outlander in November, 2023. It is blowing hot air when the a/c is on. The dealership here is rude, incompetent, and understaffed. Google Mitsubishi Outlander or Mitsubishi air conditioner problems and you see it goes back as far as 2016. Fixing it appears to be nearly impossible and it's amazing that none of the reviews from platforms such as Edmunds and Car and Driver don't mention it. Plus there's only 1 dealership within 90 miles from Knoxville, TN. RUN don't walk away from this manufacturer.

I looked foward to se the tests of this good looking SUV, and the power train is a huge disapointment. Nissan have shit power train, and low quallity CVT, and engine(Renault) Why not go all the way and use Japanese quallity engines and go for a Aisin automatic gearbox?

One of you stated that it's a Nissan Transmission, but I think Mitsubishi no longer sources their CVTs from Nissan. I think they now make their own. A point to be made about fuel economy is that (at least in my opinion) to get better fuel economy accommodations need to be made that impact longevity and reliability. I'd rather pay more for gas and avoid the repair shop even if it's under warranty.

You can actually fit a space saver spare wheel on this new Outlander, in Australia, they come with a space saver spare, IDK why the U.S doesn't but the AU version comes with it and with a 3rd row too and also it's a 5+2 not a full 7 seater, it's what you call an emergency use 3rd row, the Tiguan, CR-V and the X-Trail (Rogue in the U.S) also comes with the same concept 3rd row and all of those are even smaller than the Outlander.
