Most fun car I ever had was a 1987 Sentra coupe. It had 70 HP and weighed 2300 lbs. The 2024 Miata is a rocket ship. We're HP spoiled.

Nissan used to have some amazing rides. I used to want a gen 1 maxima.

I completely overlooked the ND3 had as many changes as it does. Unfortunately, it wasn’t out when I bought my 2023 BRZ. That interior/screen is an amazing upgrade over the older models for sure.

Civic SI weighs 2952 lbs. The new MX-5 is nice! I had a 2004 Boxster S in really good shape. Roadsters are the best, but even grocery shopping can be a challenge. I've test driven various Miatas over the years but never bought one. Top-down driving is a joy.

The Miata is looking like the one. I love the interior and it looks like you really enjoy driving it. I’m also impressed with the weight to power ratio. Shoutouts to the big backs ! We outside 🔥🔥🔥

For a nearly 9 year old car design it is crazy how good it still looks compared to what else is new and on the road. I remember when it came out those headlights were tiny, these days they are huge! Looks like the ND3 update is a great way to send off the platform over the next year or two before the NE is released. The MX5 ND will go down as a classic in the next few decades.

Great vid! I like how you talk about this car, it's just fresh and better how you word things. And no I don't have it tinted and you're right it's like one of the only cars I feel like I don't need it on the black interior (but if I had the RF I'd tint it since it's got that fake window). 🤣 "money shot"

Nice! I see some people go from Miata to Porsche but rarely Porsche to Miata. I appreciate the power of the Miata more. I drove the 4 cyl 981 Cayman and if was very fast for the street

Goodwin Racing Roadster Sport Race exhaust and the fab9 tune from Versatuner is the way to go. Wakes the car up and gives it great throttle response, plus a much smoother pull to redline.

@QueTheChaotic You won't regret it! It's only loud when you get on it, has a great exhaust note, and little to no drone at highway speeds. The stock tune is good, just kind of lethargic compared to the fab9 tune. There's a noticeable power gain throughout the rev range too. Congrats on the car!

Congrats on your new car - looks great! I was considering one as well but it was too small for my needs. So I bought a JCW Mini Cooper convertible. A Mini Cooper convertible is actually shorter in length than the Miata, yet it holds four people, has a glovebox, has storage in the center console. Ample trunk with fold down rear seats for even more space. Plenty of leg room. Cup holders are front and center where they belong. Seats recline back fully. And it handles like a go-kart. It's a great alternative if you want to drive around with your wife and kids.

Miata manuals are the best. In my rx8 its the only trans I didn't need to add a short shifter kit. I didn't add more than 20hp bc renesis is touchy and like the light stock clutch. You can go faster in a straight line but muscle car manuals feel like tractor shifters compared to mazdas.

Got mine at the end of september 2023, most fun car ever. Would like that new display but... whatever, I'm too busy driving

5:10 top one is dsc track which will save you only at the last second. bottom one is everything all the way off, including kpc, not just a traction off-it's no safety net 6:06 it's the cat converter, also this pass area has the 12v outlet near your left foot, also the passenger has less legroom than the driver since the bose sub in front of their feet (the area it's angled) taking some inches away

gwr race muffler sounds best. If u want it louder dont do the res delete doesnt sound good, try gwr longtube headers, the short header doesnt sound good. Also if u want a center exhaust and diffuser the ulter exhaust sounds similar and theres also one other one I forgot the name of.

These are great for cruising slow top down with your girl/kids especially by the beach. They were $90k new kinda like the LC500 now 😮

Always put the top down even in the winter. Heated seats on high are super toasty and windows up you actually stay pretty warm!

You also have 2 other storage bins, one behind each seat. I owned a 2021 ND2 and loved it, but I sold it last year when I got an offer I couldn't refuse. I have missed it everyday since, so I am planning to purchase a ND3 before the end of its run. The easiest way to get into a Miata is butt first then swing your legs in.

Don't sleep on the cold(ish) weather top-down driving experience. Put on a warm hat, maybe a scarf for the WWI biplane pilot look, some gloves if you need them, and crank up the heat, and you can drive top-down at surprisingly low temps. Fall is the best convertible weather, imo.

man I live on an amazing network of backroads. It has ruined me as lightweight lower hp cars like miatas, minis and BRZs are way more fun than anything else. I got rid of my supra because my mini was way more fun. Going to be grabbing an ND3 once im down a few more pounds lol

Coming back to the channel after a long absence. I'm actually trading in my 2022 Camaro 2SS 1LE on a 2024 MX-5 Club soft top with the Recaro/BBS/Brembo package. Car is in on the ship now and should be here in a couple of weeks. I had a 2020 MX-5 before the Camaro, and loved it, but wanted to try an American V8 as I'd never had one. The Camaro is a fantastic car, but I've found myself really missing the fun character and lightweight nature of the Miata so when they announced the changes for the 2024 model year on the MX-5 I put in an order at my dealer the very next day.

Congrats! The 2SS 1LE is the perfect Camaro for me. It's 1600 lbs more than the Miata though. Being able to take most turns without braking much makes a daily commute much more fun. What color did you get?

@@QueTheChaotic I ended up going with the Snowflake White. I had Soul Red on my 2020 model (and my current 2023 Mazda3 Turbo Hatch is Soul Red), so I just couldn't do that again! 😉

man if only i didnt have to rely on just one car, id definitely have a miata in my stable otherwise (need a practical all weather daily lol)

I've just bought a 2020 RF, I'm six foot two and, whilst it's snug, it's a nice fit and really, really comfortable. From what I've heard, it's all about where your height is (legs/trunk etc). I'd have a sit in one. Fingers crossed you do fit, because the car is one hell of a fun experience.

Is the tach and speedo displays all digital? My 2023 GT displays are mechanical

no just a glossier face to look more consistent with the glossy left screen finish. the tach is shaved as well. did you ask from the flickering? got to be the led backlighting

I just got back into a miata as my second car and I work in Oil & Gas industry, so a lot of good ol' boys and trust me, they roast me. But I laugh with them and sometimes roast myself so it kind of takes the fun out, or if you don't react, eventually they'll get bored of doing it. At the end of the day, its your money and your enjoyment that matters. Do what makes you happy.

The type of people who are buying manual SS 1LEs are generally going to be people passionate about driving and want a true drivers car. If they just want power/attention, the other muscle cars do that and are cheaper. The Miata is one of the best drivers cars out there. Once you’re over your fast car phase, you realize it’s one of the best cars out there period. lol The 1LE is still the best car I’ve driven, but the Miata is more fun at sane speeds. And I can get 33mpg all day beating the hell out of it. 🤣 Now that living costs are so insane and I got a kid, the Miata manages to be pretty guiltless…it’s not really much more expensive to own/run than a regular commuter car. Premium gas and Gucci tires is about it… But yeah that V8 was incredible. Such a great factory sound
