It's super weird.Just like espn half way through the season last year he suddenly stopped liking Fsu.Saying they were struggling when they weren't playing any worse than anybody else.Before Travis was hurt.Game is later in the season Fsu will be fine against Miami.

Duke could be a trap game because Miami is playing a good Louisville team and a highly emotional rivalry game with FSU in the two weeks before. Canes could be mentally worn down With all the bad losses Mario has had at Miami, if he were to lose to Duke, that might be the most damning because he would be 0-2 vs Duke and his second loss would come to the guy he replaced at Miami

Excellent points made. I honestly see us dropping the game to GT as well. They played UGA tough, won their bowl game and return a ton of production! They were leading in the 4th quarter last year. No fluke. They went 74 yards to win with no timeouts. Im not sold on Mario and Key has done a great job there. Go Canes!

Mario lost some games and TVD throwing 11 INT IN 3 games had a lot to do with our losses. Offensive line was solid and our defense stayed on the field too much due to bad QB play. FSU beat us barely with a true freshman QB playing. We threw to our TE’s 11 times the whole season bc we only had McCormick for blocking and a true freshman backup getting his feet wet. Say what you will but every year Mario has filled the holes on the field and the coaching staff. He also purged all of Manny Diaz recruits who still had the old mentality of losing. Culture had changed I think we surprise a lot of nay sayers this season. 🟧🟩🙌🏾 Go Canes

They do have the most difficult schedule in the entire country though and might only win 5 or 6 games but one of those wins will be the season opener when they send Miami home with that big "L" to open the season. He's a very good rb but Johnson was #1. And ETN cannot block while Johnson is a great blocker. Lost their top receiver to the draft but still have Wilson who is faster than anybody on Miami's team and brought in another pass catching speedster in the portal. TE's are very good. The only weakness might be the O-Line but with TE's and a RB blocking, the O-Line isn't such a problem. Defense. Hired a top defensive coach with 30+ years' experience to work with the defensive coordinator. Most of the starters return and now have that 1st year of experience. Got the starting safety from Oregon in the portal. An All-American D-Lineman from Penn. Plus several other guys who will probably be back-ups. Most of Florida's starters have played together for a year. Sure, Miami brought in a bunch of quality players, but they haven't played together It will take time for them to adjust to each other's style of play. This will be their 1st game playing together. Miami leaves the swamp with that big "L".

It’s a very valid prediction so I can’t argue too much, but I think they’re pretty locked in and have plenty of chance to win every single game. The coaching continuity will definitely play a positive factor, but we’ve seen disappointment quite a lot the last several years. This team is definitely not the same as any of those others, they pretty much have everything they need to win a conference title. All that’s left is to let it unfold

I'm not sure what to think about the Va Tech game. Last season was the first time since 1991 they didn't play each another. Miami won the 3 previous match ups, the last game in 2022 (20-14) .... That being a one score differential, doesn't leave me with the sense that either team was better, as a 6 point flip can happen on one play.

Everything you said is a very valid prediction. Although, Miami actually averages 50K in attendance a game, VT averages 64K. I’m not saying Miami has a huge home field advantage, but when Miami good (your saying 4-0 at this game). At night on a Friday! Miami will have 64K in attendance and the atmosphere would be electric. Think Miami Notre Dame 2017 atmosphere.

Miami has not invested in the football program ever. The facilities were not even second rate. They were 1980s until just last year. Miami has long relied on its history to recruit. Mario changed that. Miami now has more money than anyone out there, and has new facilities, NIL money like no one, and working on a new stadium. Its a very different world Miami is living in now then what the last 23 years have been.

Thats true. Its because Miami went super cheap and tried to win off its history for a long time. They AD did not invest in the program at all. That is completely different now. Miami has more money than anyone and the facilities are all getting upgraded. Its a very different world. Look at the talent difference on this Miami team with even 5 years ago. There are a 5 to 10 players from 5 years ago that can even make this team.

a night game against a good vt will have more ppl in attendance. Im not saying its gonna be packed out 65000 ppl but dont be surprised if we see 40000+ there especiaslly if we beat florida and are undefeated going into that game. vt is still kind of a rival to um fans since most of their fanbase lived durring the 90s and 2000s when both teams were great.

Nole fan, but I do think Miami should be pretty good this year. They've got a lot of talent on offense and I trust Mario to lead a good defense on the field. My only concern would be Ward didn't perform that well against the better defenses in the PAC. Which could be a concern against teams like Louisville and FSU which should be top defenses in the ACC. 10-2 at best 8-4 at worst sounds right to me.

Life long Canes fan,i lost all faith in Miami years ago,i can only HOPE for an ACC title

If Miami is a convincing 4-0 going into that Friday night game against VT, they will absolutely fill that stadium. The Hard Rock will be ROCKIN! I can't say for sure that this will translate to a W for the Canes, but it should. Miami fans still remember that night game in 2017 when they beat the brakes off a very good VT squad, and I'm sure they are itching for a repeat performance.

When everyone leaves or transfers out of those top 10 classes are they still top 10? Those high numbers need to be adjusted. Getting great players that dont stay is not impressive.

The talent level of Miami's roster is a little misleading Yes they were ranked high but where it matters most for example the line of scrimmage they were lacking the talent this is the first year where I would say the talent on the line matches the rest of the team

No fans at the VT game... idk check the crowd for the last time Miami played VT when the Canes were actually worth a damn. If they're ranked near the Top 10 there will be a good crowd for that one.

This Miami team has a better O-line and D-line than any team they will face. Add to that Miami almost pulled off the upset against FSU in Tallahassee with a true freshman QB. Miami is a monster in waiting and the analysts know it. Yes they have underperformed regularly before. But just add Cam Ward to Miami last year and they might go undefeated. TVD was that bad.

-Why 2024 is going to be different ...this will be year 3 of the reinvestment on the football team versus 20 years of fleecing the program (Donna Shala 2001-2015) + a couple more years to right the ship. From recruiting budget (best two composite classes ever), training table, team facilities and money to keep assistant coaches etc. When was the last time they had both coordinators come back? -When Mario got hired Larry Bluestein said the roster was terrible (in its construction, good in some spots terrible in the oline for example) and he was proven correct with the need for a total turnover via recruiting and portal. Mario has done it correctly focusing from the inside out on both offense and defense. -The program metamorphosis is complete, 2024 results will follow. **remaining question mark did Mario look in the mirror and decide to get sideline help during games

I think Miami goes 9-3 and is a strong contender to make the playoffs in 2024 via an ACC Title. This will be a great year for Miami though haters and many Miami fans will act like it was a 3 win season.

I think Miami goes 4-2 in their first 6 games before the first bye week. Louisville and Florida State; I think they split those, but I wouldn't be surprised if they lose both. The final 4 games, I think Miami goes 3-1. So even if Miami splits Louisville and Florida State, that's 8-4. Maybe they win all of their last 4 games OR only lose one of their first six and finish 9-3.

I don’t know about this one. I can see where the prediction comes from but Miami falls into the category of I’m going to have to see it before I believe it. So for me 8-4
