So it appears i've been Mandela'd. Always thought ZGS spec did 50% damage, but as it turns out, its only a 25% damage boost. Its SIGNIFIGANTLY worse than I remember, and honestly not worth using, unless you have a niche application for it. Maybe one day it'll get a buff, but that's highly unlikely.

Keep it simple and leave champions ring and jaws at home and only use scourge to extend ezk, or not if you don't care. That's a fine position, melee still slaps like a 50ft belly flop. However, if you want the best of everything, put lunging on scourge and use dismember basically on cd with it. Keeps building stacks on its own, and dismember is up 65% of the time for the ring and jaws synergy. It's still not crazy intensive, just a swap every 15s, but its up to the user if that's worth it. Also if you're not very active and using the leng spec often, scourge is sadly still more damage. The lengs add about 10k dpm from the frostblades and its fewer hits. You need to be using about 3 specs a minute to make lengs better than camping Scourge. I wish they'd just shit or get off the toilet with scourge. I know a lot of people love it, but it's making melee so switch intensive and the downside is so "minimal" and upside so good that it's frustrating. It's like vigor ring every 15s. Sure, you can ignore it, but missing 2-4% on basics, 3% crit damage, 40‐50k free dpm, and a load of hits for cinderbane synergy just because you don't want to feels bad. Same shit as feels bad to do and feels bad not to do. Idk, I got back and forth.

In the end you’re obsessing over seconds worth of value if you find yourself caring that much. Sure if you want to do it, go for it, but you shouldn’t feel bad for not try Harding as hard as possible in a video game. Especially when you’re only gonna end up saving like 30 seconds at most in a kill.

@@TheSCPStudio oh, I definitely go back and forth and I'm not loosing sleep over it or anything. There's quite a bit ill forgo on days I just don't feel like or even content that just doesn't matter for it. Luckily melee is a style you can cut a piece at a time and not lose a bunch at once. Not like magic or ranged where cutting out one piece of the puzzle makes it a lot worse. Just as I was saying it can feel bad to not do some of it when there's not much to it.

@IIxIxIv yeah. Lol. I will say that a physical ezk for Cleave and Cane is the only thing I'm missing for bis melee and it's a low priority over other things for me. A t92 is just fine for those. Dismember scourge adds wya more than that would. I do get the feeling of wanting to keep it simple though. Pre rework, I enjoyed camping lengs at zammy rather than bothering with scourge because you're not needing to build the same way. I get it.

You know, I thought I wouldn't get much from this video since I was a melee main pre Necro and have been using it ever since the combat beta, but as it turns out you have a zerk rot that doesn't require me to swap to Jaws or use Meteor Strike or have a GRico swap for the extra adren to get all my abilities off, so I'm very glad I came across it. Now off to the guides for the 2 styles I don't use, lol

to melee users who have Dragon claws in EOF - maybe some have not noticed that Dragon Claws is nerfed and does not do up to 600% dmg anymore. It is now 320-400%. Also later 3 hits does not depend on first hit anymore, so you cant use Chaos Roar to double all hit dmg or make all critical with Greater Fury. i think the best alternative is Armadyl godsword with the same 50% adren as DClaws, but it deals 360-440% in single hit, so Chaos Roar and Greater Fury also works. Only downside i can think of is - you loose 3 hits that might process for Leng sword stacks or some other effect where hitcount is needed one other thing - for places where Reavers ring brings accuracy bellow 100% use - Dragon scimitar. It costs 25% adrenaline and strikes the opponent for 210-250% ability damage with 25% increased hit chance. Successful hits will increase the player's hit chance by 25% when using slash weapons for one minute.

I haven't watched it fully yet just got past the Zgs part I noticed you mentioned increase dmg on the auto by doing it with a t95,t92,t90. If you swap to a 2h the moment you zgs spec your main hand auto that gets send out will be a mh 2h auto instead of a mh dual wield, this dmg increase is definitly worth swapping for but ye t90 or t95 not that much dmg difference. (imma continue watching)

How do you real with berserk ultimate weakening your Def so you get hit more?

what do you think about incorporating frag shot into ezk bleed rotation as an additional bleed to extend ezk spec and additional +2% adren to jaws of abyss adren gain? it could be coupled with slaughter to get more damage out of walking your target

the scourge + t85 is a good choice im now on 650% zamorak and it is working well cuz +24% bonus proc i dont like to use things like ranged abilities i know it is well but i prefer dont use it. some idea of melee rotation to zamorak, im pushing enrage, your videos are amazing good luck boy

Got a question. I’m using the leng weapons but I still can’t use Hurricane ability. Believe I used it in the past. Why isn’t it working? 😅 I’m using both Dark shard of leng and dark silver of leng.

I'm on a 1440p monitor, which physically has a lot more pixels than 1080. Monitor size doesn't matter so much, it's the resolution

is my math wrong or is the rotation at 35:58 to 37:23 only 400k dpm? isnt necro like 700k dpm? im not good at pvm so maybe im just confused

Dummy dpm and boss dpm aren't necessarily comparable, but you have noticed the main strength/weakness of melee. It's very strong in burst damage, moreso DPS, but over a long period its dpm can be rather lackluster. It's why you see it typically used in hybrid formats, because berserk rotations are very strong.

Why is there so much switching for melee? I just wish they just had an op wep with op ability and just keep it simple. Not switch zgs when zerk is on cool down or switch to extend bleeds lol

Melee got a few last minute updates to try and keep it somewhat balanced before vestments came out, and they've just been in the game ever since. It's a fun style to pull all the damage on, as the input vs reward is there. Sweat out some good rotations, get some really good damage.

Roar won't get consumed if used after a gbarge bleed, but gfury and smash/havoc with gloves of passage do

not all 4, just the first hit is guaranteed. Overpower is another good abil for gfury, or the leng spec, basically anything you want to hit really high and have a better chance at that is ideal

Switches have been core to RuneScape's combat system since before RuneScape was what most knew as classic with adamant 2H swaps and locked 3 hit combos. It was the core of skill expression in RuneScape's golden era in the then endgame of wildly or arena. Even in slayer or the limited bosses of the era special switches were ubiquitous. They are very optional already, especially for necromancy which doesn't even need defensive ability switching. I'd be sad to see gear switching killed. Regular significant style switching is a bit much, I do think one off IotH casts were largely better for the game, yet it's very optional end game optimization only. What vision do you have for no switches and how would that improve the game? How would you retain that core component of Runescape's identity or would you purge it? Who is the target audience of this and do you believe it compromises segments of players with a history tied to the system like 15-20+ year veterans or returning players, or even cross transfer from OSRS? Do you see a problem in losing the ability to regularly leverage tools acquired through large investment in gold or grind from culling switches? Do you have an alternative to leave room for skill expression from the veteran players should this tech go? I'm quite curious what your grand vision looks like and how you would address it's opportunity costs.

@@catbasedied5972 ive played for 15 years. Switches are different today. There is no need for them in the modern game as we saw with necro. Typical switchscape Andy response. Slavery was a core aspect of Rome; didn't make it a good place to live.
