    As a current Mazda CX9 owner, frankly speaking CX90 is comprehensively improved, but only 2 Negatives points stopped my upgrade plan. 1: The second row headroom space is more narrow than CX9. 2: 8AT transmission shifting gears is frustrating than CX9 6AT, especially 1-2-3. Slower gear changes than CX9 6AT as well. Hopefully Mazda could hear about this and improve it.

    Mazda continues to raise the bar. They are out doing other brands in its class, giving you premium quality and great driving dynamics. They make you question if you should get a BMW or a Mercedes. This is what a great car is for the money. This CX-90 is definitely a double looker. I’m impressed by Mazda and now I’m anticipating the CX-70’s reveal.

    Here in the UK we have the CX60 and I'll say it really is a great looking car with a lovely high quality interior and it drives brilliant. Yes the engine and transmission may not be as polished as its German rivals but its not far off and for the price (considerably cheaper than its German rivals) its a no brainer. You get a lot of equipment and features as standard.

  • @jackykimes
    @jackykimes Жыл бұрын

    So far (1000 miles) out is great. I quibble over some features that need tuning but the driving is very nice. I feel very confident with the rear biased AWD and that’s a big compliment coming from a guy with three Subaru’s. The body stays fairly flat in corners and the cabin is quiet. P.S. pulling a chord to drop the rear seats is WAY better than pushing a button and waiting for them to lower. Our sequoia has the push buttons to raise and lower the seats. They took forever to move and I was always concerned about those little motors breaking. The Mazda pull rope might not feel as premium but they work much better.

  • @normanfooteii5300

    @normanfooteii5300

    As small of a thing is as the button for the seats in the back, that was a big reason I bought a Telluride over a Palisade. I liked the Palisade interior better, and at first the car wasn't attractive to me until I saw it in person. But I still preferred the Telluride exterior, and the chord to drop the backseat swiftly put it over the edge. I didn't want to wait if I was in a hurry, and figured a mechanical setup would break before a manual one.

    There’s potential for Mazda’s maintenance cost to be less than BMW and Audi for sure. However if anything at all happens in regards to the engine and all associated with it’s functionality, the entire engine has to be removed. Another thing to note is that the battery acts as the alternator. ;there is no alternator. If the battery gets damaged it will all have to be replaced in order for the car to start and maintain power. The battery also acts as the starter, however the CX90 does have a backup standard starter in cases where the battery power output is too low. The reliability aspect is no question though!

    How reliable are the Engine and Transmission in these? I had a 2015 Explorer that had transmission issues at 26,000 miles. Traded in for a 2020 Ford Explorer that also had issue at 20k miles. But I thought maybe I was paranoid with the Jerky gear switches that I also had in 2015. So I waited it out. But then it wouldn't start breaking. Took it in at 26,000 miles and the whole Tranmission system had to be replaced. And now at 43,000 miles, it starting to do it again. To say the least. I'm done with the ford explorer. (I'm a Ford employee that's why I went with it twice) I'm interest by the CX90. But can people give me honest feedback on their past experiences with Mazda?

    Doritos and suede go really well together lol My kids would destroy that door panel suede in no time. Not the best choice of material for a family hauler.

    The reason you can't brake torque it is because the wet clutch and lack of a torque converter means the mild hybrid system is the thing that gets the car going. Can't really brake torque an electric motor.

    Love your review, but I could do without the beginning blindfold test with everyone putting massive fingerprints all over the vehicle. "My OCD was going crazy, could barely watch that part lol"

    I'm gutted, Just upgrade from CX-9 signature AWD to CX-90 Preferred AWD, and guess what is missing? 360 camera Cooling seat Handsfree Tailgate Seat programming memory. so keep this in mind. Not so sure I can do with those missing features.

    They needed to spend more time outside man. All brands have a signature grille. They coulda deduced that it's NOT a BMW by the lack of the kidneys. I'd just feel the fuck out the front end and most likely have my guess from there. Only two brands that I think would trip me up would be Nissans and Audis cuz they got the same-ish front ends.
