I really do enjoy that you view these cars from a realists point of view. You're well aware that this has plentiful performance and that engine may not be the quietest but is not there is a pro to using that engine. A lot of reviewers that I've enjoyed for a long time like Savagegeese were just so ridiculous about how they look at the NX. Keep up the humble and sensible approach you have.

The NX skipped college relationships and is more relaxed with less baggage. - These analogies and metaphors remain top notch. And painfully easy to late to

@@jsc5590 I'm enjoying it very much. Winter time in Canada doesn't give me the greatest MPG though which is expected. I find the cabin to be very cozy and quiet. My parents own a 2020 RX350 and I find the touchscreen to be so out of place. I'm 6ft with long arms and can't seem to reach that screen. Meanwhile the NX, everything is in reach and I feel "connected" to everything in the car. P.s. hope you're enjoying your new ride as well too!

Definitely think it could do with a more luxurious interior colour. Still hoping Lexus and Toyota make a u-turn around the 4 cylinder only policy and bring back their classic V6s.

If you guys want it, sure! I usually keep my reviews focused on affordable cars so I’m unsure how some of my upcoming luxury reviews will be received. The UX at least has a pricetag that won’t induce panic attacks.

Nice looking vehicle, too bad about the run-flat tires and dark cave-like interior. If I were to spend close to $60 K on a luxury SUV it would not have either of those features. Always great to see your comprehensive, thoughtful videos, Tyler.

I cannot get used to seeing those weird door handles, nor would I want them. I’m also a little perplexed by the trend of the seamless rear for these crossovers. There’s no protruding rear bumper anymore, so if you get bumped, you’re going to lose that back hatch and probably the glass too. 😖 Great review - and love the “hidey-hole” comment!! 😂 And no spare tire on this thing??? No thanks Lexus!

And why does Toyota insist on using those minuscule rear brake lights on the sides of the back? The RAV4 has little puny bullet lights and this Lexus NX has a three or four dot LED line - but at least the rest of the tail light illuminates too. Ugh! 😑

Thanks for the review! Would the Q3 be a better competitor for the NX? When we bought our Q5 we cross shopped the RX

The Q3 is more so a competitor to the UX in price and size. The Q5 is priced like the NX and the RX is a weird middle ground car. Not quite X5 or Q7 but definitely a step above the X3 and Q5. Of course, you can cross shop whatever you want!

The 2.5l NA engine is perfectly fine for the RAV4 but ill-suited for the more expensive NX.

my 2023 rav4 limited contains all the internal features of that NX 😅

AS an owner of a Lexus 2024 350H, the worst thing for me is that the Mark Levinson system drops the bass or blows out above the 52 volume setting, what a piece of crap for the money, Dealership promised a new amp, but has yet to fix after 7 months

I own a 2016 Lexus ES 300h and it currently has 230,000+ miles and never once had a hybrid battery issue! Yes, I drive for Uber and Lyft so I drive alot! No sign of any issues with the hybrid battery and at this point, I'm not concerned about it because there is no reason to be outside of the miles I have on the car! I expect to get atleast 400k before trading it in for an NX potentially or possibly a Grand Highlander but that won't be for another few years atleast!

Which is better/ ride/ quietness. Venza or nx or similar? Is the Rx worth it over the Venza for quietness, ride, nvh at 55k while Venza 34k ?

Nx might take an edge in quietness, they’re comparable with road comfort but the venza has a worse cabin in most regards outside of cargo area and backseat size. I’d have to drive them back to back to add more but I’d personally go with a Venza because it rides so well for the money.

Dealer told me the Nx doesn’t have adaptive headlights since adaptive headlights would mean the headlights move with steering

It does have adaptive lights with the premium but it uses cornering lights and adjusts the vertical angle too if I remember correctly. I don’t believe they swivel side to side.

So basically all the amenities I got in my Mazda CX-5 Signature (heated/cooled seats, HUD, 360 degree camera, auto folding mirrors and auto windshield wipers, 256 HP with 320 pounds of torque, full suite of safety features, pivoting led headlights and more), plus real leather and wood in the cabin -- for at least $20K less.

Exactly! I had been driving Lexus vehicles for 16 years and finally decided that I didn’t want to go over $40,000, so I got a premium plus trim CX 50 S model. It has a lot of the features that a top-of-the-line luxury NX has for over 10 grand less at least! Don’t get me wrong, I love the looks of the Lexus NX, but I just couldn’t justify spending that much money for it!

I had a 2022 450h+ Fsport and seats was insane uncomfortable and the sound was horrible and switched for a 450h+ Luxury and tested near the dealership and was ok and then I drove it through curves and was very very unstable and end up trade it for a Porsche Macan and NOW AM HAPPY FOR THE SAME MONEY the Lexus cost BUT with 265/45/20 front and 295/40/20 Wheels & tires , Bose Sounds System,Panoramic Moon Roof, Infotainment System is WAY BETTER AND MORE FRIENDLY… I will NEVER GO TO LEXUS AGAIN 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

I will just go with the Toyota Venza and save some money. I don’t need the Lexus badge or run flat tires or premium gas.

Lexus uses only run flat tires which is a step away from achieving the best available ride. Those tires should only be an option. They are noisier and give you a bumpier ride because they have Rock hard sidewalls to support the vehicle when all the air leaks from the tire. Also because of this the car is less safe because as you hit bumps the tire will not maintain the same ground contact that regular quality tires will give you. Run flats have a better chance of your tires becoming airborne rather. I will never buy a car with run flats. Even if it is a $30,000 vehicle. Lexus is a $70,000 CAD plus vehicle 👎👎👎👎

Ugly!! I dont like those 2 tone seats 😮 I prefer solid camel, black or grey.

@@wyw201 Actually yes, the out the door NX 450 h+ Fsport 2022 was 72k with NO extended warranty and Macan 2023 was 74k out the door with 8 year/80k miles extended warranty , with a amazing Bose sound system, 265/45/20 tires on the front..295/40/20 on the back, Premium Papaya Orange paint and Orange inside stitching and seatbelts on black real leather , panoramic sunroof , 300 time better suspension , 300 times more comfortable seats , 1000 times more good looking sexy SUV , AND IS A PORSCHE not a Lexus that the only thing they have good is the engine that’s it

Sorry, but it's an overpriced Toyota, and even more overpriced Lexus? Super overpriced Rav-4? Test drove a 02' Rav 4, couldn't get out of it's own way? Drove a Jeep Renegade after, fell in love with it and bought it? Drove it for 17 years and sold it in perfect condition with 155K. They have gotten better, but nothing can replace a V6, but a V8?

Now that the RX 450h+ has no “F” Sport option and is only 275 hp with dog eared- turbo (do your homework on Turbos very BAD to have!!!) and the RX 500 is a non naturally aspirated Premium gas hog...the “NX” 450h+ “F” Sport is the VERY BEST....End of Story!...
