The 130 for 3rd row is a better option. There is a trick for the 130 to look better, install the side ladder at the end of the roof rack (you hv to do some modification on the mounting side), it will balance the rear proportion. with some rear-end stickers, it will look as great as the 110.

The JGC is not really cheap like you said if you compared Apple to Apple. When u look for the grand Cherokee air suspension and 2 speed transfer case, it’s already 70k in the summit or overland, and u still have to suffer with the under power pentastar and no locker . It’s cheaper to go defender at that point

Any way you slice it, the GCL is going to be less. The top trims may get to almost 80, but adding that much leather and all the gadgets to the Defender put you way over and you can't get features like the highway drive assist, night vision, or passenger screen on the LR.

No Issues with ANY of my Wranglers and Ive had 7 dating back to 1990. I had 3 LR's and all were terrible but in all fairness one was a new 98, a new 2002, and a new 2014 Evoque . The Evoque was the worst!!. 02 perfect until 31k miles and then literally everything went wrong, I mean everything. The 98, few things, but not terrible. Was getting worse though. I really really want a Defender, but worried about reliability , maintenance costs are very high, and just decided the other day to call my insurance company- Amica- great company, however the LR Defender was nearly double the cost to insure my 2021 Wrangler 4xe Rubicon. First oil change is $375 vs. Jeep at around $80. First major service for the Defender at 21K miles around $1600-2000. Just turned my Jeep in lease ended and it had 31K miles and was flawless. I should just get a 4Runner Limited, but I just love that damn Defender. Just be sure you can afford to actually maintain it the Defender.

Just who sits in the MIDDLE seat of the 2nd row?? In the HISTORY of the entire planet, if you have 5 passengers with an available 3rd row, who says "I'd rather sit in the middle instead of the 3rd row" NOBODY!! Stop putting in bench seats FFS.

What's the matter with the middle seat? Third rows are almost always worse than the middle seat 9 out of 10 times

@normanli7085 Depends on the vehicle. If you're referring to cars like the outlander phev, the 3rd row is pretty useless. But if you're in the territory of this Defender or Hyundai Palisade in terms of interior space, then the 3rd row is actually pretty useful. And in a pinch, requiring a fifth passenger to warrant sitting awkwardly elbow to elbow in the middle seat, hopping into the back instead is way better. Trust me I am a palisade owner and regularly have people in the back.

@ChristianC-gy1ym just because there's good headroom in the third row doesn't make it a livable seat. Look at Alex's positioning in the defender 110 third row. Yes there's good headroom, but if he were to fit in the third row, then there's no way to fit anyone in that same seat in the second row. Therefore, if u want to fit adults in the third row, most likely u need a full size SUV, a van, or a bigger midsized SUV

@normanli7085 Funny, I never mentioned head room. Sounds like you never lived with a vehicle with a useful 3rd row. I could be wrong, but if you have I think you'd change your tune quickly. Unless you're an over 6' tall adult, if you have kids they can very easily be comfortable in the back. I live with a family of 5. My 4 year old, my two parents, wife and I. We have very comfortably made multiple road trips from Vegas to California which is about a 4 to 5 hour drive depending on traffic and where we're going. It really is difficult to argue against captain's chairs in the 2nd row. That trumps a bench seat ANY day of the week. There is an extremely rare instance where you are going to pack a car full of 7 people. Give me captain's chairs, and 6 passengers max is enough and superior 99.99% of the times. If you need 7 seats, buy a van.
