    Yes, I agree. I currently just use the GoPro built in mic, which is OK when stationary, or low speed. I'll see there is a better mic solution for improving the voice while riding...

    Mate, have you any plans for the STIC SuperX carb? It's power is well above the metering block. I've been running it on me 200SX. The pilot size has gone from a 50 to an 80 and idle was unchanged. I run the slowest turn G2 throttle cam for MX and it is well mannered on slow woodsy hard pack trails.

    For me, with oil injection deleted, it's one less thing to worry about and I prefer the simplicity of running premix. But I know some people don't like mixing gas. Good to have choices...

    those Leatt gloves look like they give decent hand protection, do they work touchscreen?

    On the top of the glove, over the knuckles, is decent protection. The reason I like them is that they are thin and give great feel. I was expecting them to have poor durability, but they are holding up better than I expected. They are listed as being touch screen compatible.

    Would you happen to have an FMF part number for the FMF Gnarly pipe? I would like to purchase one for my 2024 EXC 300 although my local shop and FMF do not have a listing for it as yet. Is the expansion chamber and muffler the same as the 2023 model? Thank you for your help!

  • @TokyoOffroad

    @TokyoOffroad

    3 ай бұрын

    My thoughts are that for the 2024 model the Gnarly and Fatty shape seems to be very similar (visually I couldn't spot a big difference). With the stock map performance felt very similar. With the TSP map I've only tried the Fatty pipe and it works great. As far as I can see the biggest difference between the 2024 versions of the Gnarly and Fatty is that the Gnarly uses heavier gauge steel so is a little more resistant to dents, but is also a little heavier.

    Have you ever felt the bike beeing too stiff in the rear shock area ( because of the new frame)? Trying to figure out if I should consider the TE 300 over the KTM because some people say it unsettles the bike, and makes it feel weird. I m a tall guy at 1.97m and I know the KTM is a bit taller than the Husqvarna, also smaller tank on Husky, What is your take on the Te300 vs Exc?

  • @TokyoOffroad

    @TokyoOffroad

    10 ай бұрын

    No, it doesn't feel stiff in the rear for the riding I do. Most of my riding is lower speed, mountain riding, just like in the video. The chassis feels comfortable, stable and gives me confidence. Currently the main thing I'd like to improve a little is the engine performance (a little stronger mid/high). I'll be doing my first race on the 2024 this weekend so will be interesting to see how I get on with the bike under pressure... :-)

    @@TokyoOffroad Good luck with the race!!!!! Good to know about the chassis. Also, have you ever, had any problems with the tank not picking up all the fuel? The center cap where iti picks up fuel gets filled by splashing from what I ve read, and not too spirited riding or straigh flat ground may leave you with up to a liter or more of unburn fuel.

    @@marcomilano6486 It will definitely be , they share the same frame, might be a little lower but thats all. I think it might go down more because of the way the linkage works, I also fancy the Husqvarna but not that far from the KTM eighter.

    While riding off-road I've not had any problems with fuel pickup when the fuel level is low, as it can splash into the center cupped area. However if you were riding on a long, smooth and straight road I think you would have problems...

    Same, my first rebuild is coming up and I'm considering switching to an injector re-locator kit and removing the oil pump (since you have to change oil pump every top end). The GET kit looks nice and after 3-4 top ends, it'll pay for itself. Those oil pumps aren't cheap.

    Try not to buy the TSP injector relocator. Theres nothing wrong with transfer port injection / premix if you can retime your injectors to bottom dead center. Ive done it on my 150 so you should be able to find a tuner to adjust injector timing on a 300
