i love the clean, minimalistic look. the predecessor was complete oppsite, wild and messy
I’ll buy it! You can’t please anybody. I get why the lights are lower (to expand maximum cargo space, duh). G-Wagon has lower lights like that’s and it’s a sought out vehicle for the elites with cash. Some people are just so cookie-cutter. Want everything to look the same and not different and daring. I applaud the Koreans for doing something radical and out the box, literally! 😂 But, I love this new Santa Fe. Old was great, but too curvy and borderline feminine. This new Santa Fe is boxy and macho. It has that Land Rover presence, which I love Land Rovers, but hate the reliability on them. I ready to order mine in white Calligraphy trim with all black tinted windows

Exactly the same opinion. Love JLR but hate reliability and maintenance costs. This will be a super hit in 2024.

Exactly, love the style, I seen some people complaining about rear tail lights been too low that driver in the car behind you will not see it, LOL. If you are driving behind other car and you can’t see the tail lights, You are too close genius. I can’t wait till I order one, Land Rover without their unreliability. And Hyundai’s 10 years warranty. Awesome !
Your reviews are spot on. Great job 👏
I'm happy that the rear is polarizing, maybe it means people will be hesitant to buy one, and I can get one easier without insane markups like its old cousin the Telluride had when it was first released...

Well thats one way to look at it :) I am looking forward to use “hm umm yea the car is good alright but that back… idk man it doesn’t look like it deserves a “market adjustment” “

@@DoubleBullet “ it looks really polarizing but I’d be happy to take one off the lot for you guys, just gimmie like $1500 off MSRP and I’ll help you move your current inventory…”
if those tail lights are at the same height as the front lights this would have looked so much better, they almost nailed it.

This car looks super interesting. Polarizing probably. But definitely interesting. Also, Korea looks so beautiful.
I reckon that's great..but whoever was responsible for the back end might end up in front of a firing squad! 😂
Does the tailgate glass open up or roll down ? I want to be able to hang things out the back window if needed.
From the front three quarters it reminds me of the land rover from a few generations ago. Then you go round the back and it start to look more like a Ssangyong from the 90's

Toyota Emina too.
Are we going to have paint issue with this model as well?? My 2018 model Santa Fe’s paint was peeling off
The rear end design is shocking but quickly grows on you. I like it and I think people will too. I can’t understand the love people have for the G-class Benz (same rear end proportions) but it’s become a classic across the world.
It's class ,luv it.when is it hitting market
I like rear shape and stunning beautiful korea rural landscape, too!
Love it! Always liked the more square body vehicles.
TRULY IMPRESSIVE
They'v got problem in the rear, looks like mistake with the lights are not down enougth
Ah! So the guy who designed the 1980’s Chevy Suburban DID move to South Korea!
Back light position seriously need redesign
I loved it 🤩
When first i saw it on pictures online, i hated it. But then i see it on the streets, and i am in love with it. This is a cool vehicle. Might be my next one.
All that enthusiasm(?). This popped up accidentally as I don't consider Auto Express reviews to bear any actual validity anymore.
In India we have model named exter. Which slightly took the front look from this extra special beauty
I live in Chicago and can’t wait to get one .
Bro. did you fly to south korea to film this? incredible
Discovering the cool factor in family cars!
It looks amazing. I wish Hyundai would keep the good looking designs longer. They've already changed the Elantra which should have been kept longer. I think they change too much.
It looks SOOO good, omg...
why is the backlight so low? it would look much better if it was in the middle!
Love child of a Kei car and a Freelander. Console looks exactly like a stereogram from the 1980s. (Before you were born). That car must have been difficult to design...
Love the new look but it needs solid color mags. Black would be perfect.
If only we could switch piano black for mat black details around wheels and in all other places
Gotta give the Hyundai group serious props for the relentless design march. This looks great, and I'm sure it's a better car. Re: rear light placement. If this is claimed to be a deal-breaker, it's a lie. 1) they certainly are NOT that polarizing, 2) on a darker colored car, it would be less of a (perceived) design contradiction, 3) all new different designs take a moment to absorb for most people, but always normalize. Always. If a taillight placement is the "reason" for not buying, it simply becomes the easiest target to use as an excuse for something else. Deal-killer my behind!
fantastic
Which model comes with those rims?
Has a trip to the airport 3 weeks ago, my Lynk&Co 01 disappointed me in terms of boot capacity, we need to upgrade. Need to test this car when it reaches the dealers in Sweden...
The car looks massive in pictures
I really like how it looks like a Land Rover. And I like how the hood isn't too high, like those new GMC and Fords. I call them kid kiIIers. Call me old-fashioned, but I kinda miss bench seats in the front though. The cockpit seems kinda tight with that massive armrest/cupholder area

The back is admittedly very marmite, but the rest of the car looks great inside and out. And compared to the carbuncle that was the previous model, it's a total step change for the better! Definitely in the running for my next car, along with the new Sorento and Kodiak versions.
I love it. I think it's beautiful.❤
No 4wd? Could be cool replacement for Disco 3 or 4, since from the side they are pretty similar. Even the seats fold down flat like in Disco's. If some offroad prowess could be add, it would be cool rival for LR's and Toyotas LC's.
Love it
Is there a dashcam?
Those low placed lights on the back are going to cost them a lot of sales. I can’t see them being as safe as mid-height lights either.

This looks so similar to the Ford Flex sold in the US. I wonder how it compares in size and wheelbase? The Ford was a lot cheaper though and probably not as well finished off. 😂
Is that cow pat on the road at around 1:22 into the video? Surely they could have found part of the road without any?
That’s gonna be my next vehicle
Shot your cams from a normal viewing angle so you can see the suv normally, I hate how most vids show low shots,
The back looks like a 1990s GM minivan. Otherwise, well done.
The back end looks horrendous . Reminds me of a sang yong 🤮
I think the back where the rear lights are placed, makes the car look too ugly, great shame could have been a good looking car.
I wish there was 2 row option with extra underfloor storage....
You really think that rear end looks nice ? It looks super old already . And only hybrid ? Good for town driving but what will the mileage on highway as opposed to bmw x3 for example ? I think I would rather have a cheaper and better looking Skoda Kodiak and if I am not wrong they come in 7 seats as well
I love it overall, but that rear screams Geo Metro, Diahatsu Charade, or several other crappy hatchbacks and minivans from the 1990’s.
so would they release a beast like palisade?>
Looking forward to the Lego version. Should be a simple build.
They really messed up the bag, I mean it’s for sure a very huge and nice SUV , but why the put the light so down in the back??
Nice car. Would that the drivers of them had matured as much.
Make one video with toyota fortuner and santafe comparison
The rear takes some time to get used to it
I heard in Ireland it will be in around 65 to 70 thousands
Nice looking taxi car
and the UK spec will get a wheezing 1.6 ltr petrol hybrid with an awful DCT box. What it should have is a conventional auto box with at least the 2.2 R series diesel engine, a combination that worked well upto 2019
@JustinMintz01

Eh idk. I have a 2023 santa fe and honestly I love the dct. Paddles are a tad slow but otherwise it's one of the smoothest shifting transmissions I've owned
SANTAFE LOOKS GOOD THOUGH
The back looks like.its from a different car
But in the UK you guys have the steering wheel in the right side
Why is that no Hyundai-logo on the steering wheel? otherwise nice and gorgeous car, but I don't like that there's no Hyundai-logo on the steering wheel. I think that It would be a self evident in every car like seat belts etc. Maybe old Toyotas as exception where that was the model name instead of a Toyota-logo.
Back end is horrendous. Like some budget car from 80's.

True
These comment section doesn't know how a car works) they put the tail lights at the bottom so u can havemore space and more packed features - Hyundai did say that if they moved the tail light up they will either make it lose some of the features and the space or they will make it bigger and make it more expensive, my god people keep criticizing the rear of the santa fe and the Mercedes benz g wagon taillights are literally smaller and low and people are still complaining.
Can't see this being a seller in Europe. Looks like a big frumpy North American thing.

As an American, I’m very insulted by your comment. Yes, we like big cars. We have the infrastructure for having large vehicles. We like our space. Who wants to drive in a tight sardine can?
Hope the phev has more than 30 ev miles should be circa 100 miles now
I had a seven seat Corolla verso and most of the time it was just me in it. The family only got together once or twice in the 3 years I had it so I'd ask yourself do you really need a car of this size?
It looks good untill i see it from the rear
Someone at Hyundai really said "What if we just rebranded the Ford Flex" and got a promotion
Looks like abit like an old skool discovery at the front and the rear is fugly. But seems practical.
Looks like a ford flex and a mini van from behind
I buy this over any Overpriced Rovers with even more expensive options. Gorgeous car. Why you comparing this car with X3. If, X5 mate for sure.
rear end...ends it for me...nice interior
I kanda loved it, i dobt have money for Range or LANDLORD rover but this woukd work:)
Toyota made boxy cars, Lexus GX550 and the new Land Cruiser Prado. It will look normal once we start seeing it on the roads...
So a big Flex Ford? Also the brake lights are too low…
The entry to the video is rather like an advertisement than a review.
Sweet a Ford Flex
Baby Got Back lol
will be no 1 choice in indonesia or asia if dimension max (L 4780,,W1890) because their so many small road
Nice. Hyundai Kia is the new Toyota Honda
How would you have described this car if you have never heard the word "Presence"
The rear looks like a 1993 Toyota Previa...

2 engine options, so what are they then? Range? Mpg? Performance? Pretty poor review lacking any stats.
um...ford called and wants their FLEX back
No rear bumper...
The Santa Fe used to be a nice looking SUV Hyundai what were you thinking😢
No budget for back design? Laid off all of them? What is this joke?
The back lights on that look messed up. 🤮🤮🤮
No leather for me.
The next Tucson should adopt this boxy design
Looks so good until you see the back side 😳🤮
