Cant you put a little bin under the armrest? Sort of like a Tuperware?
Looking to get this very vehicle in red as I'm not a fan of the "Yellow Submarine" color. That is, if I don't get the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE instead!! However, I disagree with your list of competitors. I would think Kona is competing with Toyota Cross, Subaru Crosstrek, and Mazda CX-30. I sat in this Kona trim at my dealer but didn't test drive one yet. Interesting to hear about the infotainment system "blanking out". I'm driving a 2022 Kona Limited FWD and never had that happen, but my backup camera video went "green" a few times until the next update from Kona. Only now, you don't have to plug in a flash drive, it's OTA updates from Hyundai.

Thanks for watching. I would also consider those vehicles direct competitors to the Kona. There are a lot. It’s a crowded segment. I actually catch the screen blanking out in my solo review.
I'm looking a the Kona Electric for a new car hopefully in the next year or so. My Corolla is at about 220K miles and it doesn't seem like it's going to die anytime soon lol. But I love the size of this vehicle and looks (not the color) We also have a 2019 Santa Fe as a family car and it's been trouble free at 65k.

Not a fan of the color but the Kona is unique. Which is why I leased a 2019 Kona Limited, and now driving a 2022 Kona. Will I get the 2024? Maybe. Maybe not. Looking at a Toyota hybrid.
