Let's have a look at Hyundai's new 2024 Kona Limited! (then proceeds to call it a Kia more than once 😂) ...

Just bought mine 3 days ago. I had the 2022 model previously. I absolutely love it. Every complaint I had about the last model, they addressed in the 2024 model. Softer materials, more sophisticated safety tech, stronger engine (had the SEL previously and now have the Limited), bigger screens, more space, and a very comfortable ride. You nailed the perks of this vehicle in your review. I feel like I got a good taste of Genesis without spending Genesis money. I’m looking forward to the next 3 years! Leased this one but it’s the first vehicle I could see myself buying out when the term ends.

Of course, each country does each car line differently. Here in Canada, the top of the Kona line is the N-Line Ultimate. It takes your N-Line and adds a $3000 package that is what your Limited does so our top of the line looks like your N-line but has most of the features of your limited, There are a few things I wish were offered here and are not... Power liftgate, Fog lights, an actual spare tire (it comes with a repair kit). I have just ordered one and can't wait to get it at the end of next month. Great review!

The 4 dots is Morse Code for the Letter "H". I love this high tech Kona. Kona is now a little brother/sister of the Ioniq design. I probably will end up leasing another one at the end of 2024 (also looking at Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE and Crosstrek Limited). I'm now driving a 2022 Kona Limited and would get the Kona Limited again (also had a 2019 Limited before that). Never had any issues with the 1.6 Liter Turbo and so happy they did away with the DCT and went with a regular A/T. Since the Kona remodel was first done as an EV, and the gas version based on that, all the Kona vehicles look the same. The opening and closing of the front grill is a nice feature too. Oh, and ONLY Kona Limited has ventilated seats AND heated steering wheel STANDARD!! Can't wait to use the Self Park to freak out my neighbors as I stand in my driveway and remotely park the car into the garage!

A tried-and-true gas engine, combined with all the latest tech innovations really intrigues me; I might buy one.

I like your car reviews and gave this one a thumbs up. Just one comment. You said you chuckle at the paddle shifters. But they will be handy to control the gears and keep them from shifting when you don't want them to, say in stop and go traffic jams, in snow or on rutted dirt roads, etc. Remember the good old days when you had a center console shifter with D, 1 and 2 to control the car? This stalk shifter and the paddles seem like a better idea to preserve center console space for our "stuff". I like this set up.

On my 2023 Sonata I find the heads up display much more useful than the blind spot blinker camaras. I would prefer the HUD but they seem unavailable.

is the cabin quieter than the 2022?

Does this model have the annoying stop/start feature?

Does it have the ability to turn off the Auto Stop feature?

They don't have the Auto Stop anymore! I'm driving a 2022 Kona and my Auto Stop doesn't work in most conditions (and I turn it off manually).

If you live in Buffalo, you need the extra room so you can enlarge your take out chicken wing orders.....💯🙋🐓🍗🤣

I like the look of that vehicle. Only learned about it when seeing it on the road and I nearly broke my neck checking it out. But I’ll never buy another Kia/Hyundai. I’ve had junk cars from other makes, but this company is the only one that in addition to having countless issues, the dealerships NEVER stood by a single fix under warranty without a major fight. Even small things that any dealer would take care of.

Real leather is also vegan leather, aren’t cows vegans?😂

I will never consider buying any Kia or Hundai vehicle. Their “warranty” might look good but my family/friends experience shows me it’s worthless. And someone died when the Kia seoul caught fire on a freeway and the brakes wouldn’t stop the car.

@@jrs9264He didn’t say he’d buy a Honda instead. Stop deflecting. Try getting an engine replaced by Kia/Hyundai. It’s a fucking nightmare. And on smaller issues they have like their headliners falling off the roof, they’ll just tell you “Korea didn’t tell us how to fix that yet, so we can’t help you”….years later, yeah no fix still so you’re SoL. Even Ford treated us better and quality wise they’re junk.

More electronic the more distractions and most likely accidents. Also more problems.

Friend that happened a LONG time ago, all I know is when I drive by a Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai on and on dealership or service area I see a lot of "Americans" earning a pay check.
