I was hoping that Mark would drop the act by at least the 8-minute mark, but Jack's "you fucking asshole" gave me a genuine chuckle. Wish Jack had more opportunities to talk because I do genuinely want his opinion (e.g., on how this car would look a couple years down the line as a used grab). Because of the goofing, I feel I have to watch another review to get a fuller picture.

Being real, aside from looks its basically a larger Ioniq 5 which is a great first real attempt at an electric car. We both enjoyed almost every aspect of it aside from cold battery range degradation. I personally had to take the oppurtunity to showcase the self serious marketing they use to highlight the stupidity and disconnect of current online culture.

Wife has an Ioniq 5. The recycled plastic in her car is not durable and therefore not child friendly. I’ve heard that in general Hyundai has been replacing some early cars interiors that suffer from this. As we have children we haven’t tested if the seats are resistant to “couple fun times” as we don’t do that anymore. We know the consequences.

Part of me was like, come on, Marc, you don’t have to make a mockery of this entire thing. But the more I thought about Hyundai writing, directing and filming, and producing that marketing reel, they deserve all the mark smoke they get
I can envision the writing session for this video went like this - Mark "Hyundai sent me this marketing packet and it doesnt even talk about the car its just metaverse b***s***" Jack "I can probably talk to some engineers and.." Mark "No. I will give them the metaverse coverage they asked for"
The marketing for this car is just utterly baffling, I’m so glad I never saw any ads for it. Excellent video as always, though. Loved the Metaverse clowning. 😂 But absurd sales pitch aside, I have to agree with Jack, it is a good car for what it is. Good enough for me to be leasing one, anyways. Good thing I searched up reviews before the marketing material. After 3K miles, I can comfortably say that it’s its an excellent daily driver and very comfortable, though I must specify that I’m down in Florida, so I don’t have to deal with a lot of the cold-related issues others do where vehicles like this are concerned.

I’ll always say it. The best Hyundai vehicle they make is the Hyundai TransLead ThermoTech Reefer Semi-Trailer. 53’ feet long, 12K lb curb weight without the reefer unit. Probably 14K with it. Beautiful and smooth driving machine. Well balanced, I can scale 44K lbs of chicken tenders with ease. They’re a thing of pure automotive craftsmanship, and I get semi-erected every time I get the luxury of hooking up to one
A car review as art. Stunning! Not sure new viewers will get it. I have 9k miles on my 2023 Ioniq 5 LTD. May 1 to Feb 28 average MPK is 3.2 in upstate NY. Except for a trunk lid rattle the car has been perfect.

A very very honest comment for Mark. The videos that you are presenting alone with your unique sense of humor is extremely more interesting even if it is about a trash can!
By far funniest SG video. I was either laughing or grinning like Mark the whole time.
I had fun with the insanely ridiculous marketing and mocking of it as well as the glitches and bugs of modern society, but I think Mark kind of dragged it out too much in my opinion. I hope i don't come across as the fun police, but all of the insight and critical thinking that's brought forth in the vast majority of your videos really made me excited to hear what y'all had to think. More beyond the "ya it's pretty much an electric Hyundai" at the end. At the end of the day, I can't really complain too much about free content
I am not an EV guy, But I like money. Work offers free charging. If I found an EV for $0 down and sub $250 a month, that's what I spend on gas to get to work. Free car! What about insurance? Well my Blackwing as a DD, $2150 a year. Grundy would allow it as a collector policy for $350 only if I added another DD-an EV like this was $1800. Free car. I managed to get an AWD SEL this weekend, $50,350 MRP for $239 a month, $0 down(+plates since I had none to transfer), 12k miles a year. This thing is nicer, faster, handles better than it needed it to be for the appliance I asked it to be. Free maintenance and free charging at Electrify America. So many rebates on a home charger install-that was free too. They said the days of cheap leases were gone. Well, this car is the exception. I am not an SUV guy, if you hate the way this looks, I sent two friends to the same dealer for an Ioniq 5 SEL AWD which was the same deal but for $281 a month.
So I wear a lot of sweat pants lmao. Love this!
That opening tho 🔥
