2024 Honda Ridgeline rtl has One Problem :All Specs & Test Drive

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this full #review I will explain all the specs of the 2024 #Honda #Ridgeline rtl then take it for a test drive. The 2024 Ridgeline gets some updates, outside; a new grille, new #trailsport and the rear tailgate now has RIDGELINE across it. Inside gets updated tech with a palm holder, reworked center console but a carry over powertrain will lead to some quirks which will bring out the pros and cons.

Great review Anthony. If I were looking to buy a pickup truck this would be my choice. Really nice interior and exterior and I love the side opening tailgate and the storage in the bed trunk. Not a big fan of the others with the huge grills etc. Hope that you are doing great!

Not offering different power plants to me is a positive because that means they have refined the one they have and got the bugs worked out... seriously how much power do you need..?? And who cares if it doesn't crawl over rocks😂 I never stood why anybody would spend over $50,000 to crawl over rocks and then work on their vehicle all weekend because it is broke down

More power would add up to more towing and payload. Honda could increase both without more power but they haven’t done anything with this powertrain for a while now. It’s the same truck. As I stated in another comment, the off road part, it’s not that I need it to do that, it would be nice to have the Ridgeline be able to do it as other pick up trucks can 👍

@@HawkeyeRidesI think most Ridgeline Owners would prefer optional engine choice now for better fuel efficiency. I rarely see many midsized trucks towing for work. Now towing for pleasure a boat still usually full-sized pickup. But I think for Ridgeline a optional engine for owners probably more for fuel efficiency.

For the last 29 yrs I’ve owned GMC crew cab trucks. 1994 with a 5.7 & a 2008 with a 5.3. Used both to tow bass boats and daily drive. Couldn’t justify GM’s outrageous price increase for a new 2023 SLE Crew Cab. I bought a mid size Ridgeline Sport that had everything + that I needed and still tows my 3640 lb Ranger boat & trailer. The cost was $24,600 less than a GMC SLE Crew Cab. Ridge OTD $41,060. Came with mud guards, locking lugs, darkest wheels, not black, Ridgeline floor mats. It’s an adequate truck for my needs. And both my previous GMC’s were excellent well maintained vehicles without AWD.

I have a 2006 and my wife has a 2017. Wouldn’t trade them for anything! Just make sure you have the timing belt changed at around 80K. If you are looking for a good home owner truck, this is the best choice by far. If you need a work truck, this is not what you want. Go Tundra or F150 for that need. Anyway, as someone with both a 2006 and a 2017, I can only say I have no regrets and love both trucks.

Honda knows its consumers. They know this Ridgeline will be purchased by older guys. They want comfort & top of the line equipment. They don’t need off-road capability. Trail sport is just another name for limited or premium. Unless Honda wants to tackle a new market. They’ll need to revamp the entire truck, top to bottom. Make it an actual truck to compete with everyone else. Honda could really do this!!…but sadly they never will. 😞

I actually like more firmness in the wheel I don't care for super easy steering it feels soft to me. I don't think they have the HPD bronze (or black) that they had before, on the website for the 2024 I only see the HPD decals or the HPD package that has shark gray wheels across all trims . If a company states they have an off-road suspension then it should be able to go off roading. What a person does with it is not irrelevant as the company is saying you can do it. Just like sports cars, not everyone takes it to the track 🤷‍♂️ nothing wrong with saying my Maserati gets a quick 0-60, maybe I enjoy taking it on back roads with no one on the road to open it open.
