2024 Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES
Designed for touring performance, the 2024 Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES receives a renewed on-road focus. In addition to the platform-wide updates like a redesigned intake/exhaust, adjusted valve timing, increased compression, revised styling, and updated electronics, the Adventure Sports versions now benefit from a lower seat height that improves on-road handling, thanks to shorter suspension travel and a new 19-inch front wheel. To maximize rider comfort and convenience for long days in the saddle, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES continues to boast features like electronically controlled suspension, heated grips, and a larger fuel tank, and it’s available with a manual transmission or DCT.
Africa Twin
The Africa Twin has always embodied the spirit of adventure, allowing riders to explore further and discover new routes with confidence. For 2024, refinements to the standard Africa Twin versions further their capability to navigate off-road terrain while also boosting performance and comfort on the pavement. A new five-position windscreen, tubeless tires and revised fairing design enhance the Africa Twin’s versatility and comfort. Plus, with platform-wide updates like the revised valve timing, increased compression, redesigned intake/exhaust and updated electronics, this adventure icon delivers an incredible riding experience across a wide variety of conditions.
2024 Honda Africa Twin
FEATURES & BENEFITS
The Africa Twin embodies the spirit of adventure, allowing riders to explore further and discover new routes with confidence. Available in four unique versions (all of which receive significant updates for 2024), the standard Africa Twin and the Adventure Sports ES are now more specialized, enhancing all-around performance. Refinements to the standard Africa Twin (available with a manual transmission or DCT) expand its ability to navigate off-road terrain, while the Adventure Sports versions are more on-road focused, with shorter-travel suspension and a 19-inch front wheel. All versions benefit from updated electronic settings, a redesigned intake/exhaust layout, engine updates, revised styling, tubeless tires, and more. The legendary Africa Twin lineup enables a wide range of adventures, from remote, off-grid trails to scenic mountain roads and everything in between.
NEW FOR 2024
Adventure Sports versions feature a new 19-inch front wheel and shorter suspension travel for improved on-road handling.
Six-axis Bosch IMU control; cornering ABS provides sure-footed braking and features an off-road setting.
Tubeless tires (previously only fitted on the Adventure Sports versions) are now also fitted on the 21/18-inch wheels of the standard versions.
The 1,084cc twin-cylinder engine generates stronger power and torque in the low- to mid-rpm range.
Compression ratio raised to from 10.1:1 to 10.5:1, alongside development of ECU settings, valve timing, intake and exhaust.
Dual Clutch Transmission is updated for smoother, more natural feel at low speeds.
On standard versions, new 5-way height-adjustable windscreen extends on-road comfort.
Adventure Sports versions’ new front fairing adds muscular looks and improves wind protection.
Adventure Sports versions’ new seat improves comfort with a thicker cushion and revised shape.
Standard versions’ new front fairing improves its compact, off-road-focused body style, pairing perfectly with the slim seat and high handlebar.
A huge range of Honda Accessories is ready to go, from tank pads to full Pannier/Top Box luggage solutions--each a perfect fit for the Africa Twin.
Accessories are available individually or in dedicated accessory packs.
Rally, Adventure, Urban and Travel Packs make perfect customization easy.

Really interesting vid, thanks very much. You've created a masterpiece video for AT owners and potential owners like me - just incredible the way you make vids! I LOVE this one. This majesty in visuals is unusual for such a bike bike in so much as it is a spectacularly good looking ADV and that's not something you see every day if ever. Personally i think the '23 model looked a 'bit' better in the graphics but that is splitting hairs - the '24 model is still magnificent. Whil I appreciate that new 19" front wheel for better road handling, I think the 21" wheel looked better/more aggressive in an in-your-face uber-powerful trailbike way. I see the AT as a 'big trailbike' - I grew up on and loving Honda XL & XR trailbikes and this one, to me, is the ultimate grand interpretation of those old playbikes, especially with the old 23" front wheel. The 19" version will be a masterful road bike, I've no doubt and I'll be getting one soon I hope 🙂 Cheers from Sydney Australia.

Interesting. Honda thinking they save shipping and time by not fitting the front wheel, but just look at the time spent and frankly ridiculous hassle getting the bike out and prepared at the dealer. Crazy man. I bet other dealers dont take the care you do and end up scratching or damaging components. Love your videos 🙏👍

Thanks for the comment. It's amazing how these guys are taking care of the bikes, I've spent there a lot of time filming all other bikes and Maintenance procedures, it's one of the best workshops I've seen in our country. And take in consideration that this PDI it's FREE here in Romania. In other countries it costs about 500$ - 600$.

The front wheel it's mounted only on the smaller bikes due to the Cargo shipments dimensions. At bikes like Honda Rebel 500 or even CB 1000r, the front it's already on. Bigger bikes have the bike off, especially the big adventure ones like Africa Twin.

tutto perfetto tranne lo smontaggio delle pinze freni lasciate libere attaccate solo con i tubi dei freni ORRIBILE. fissarle con delle fascette alla moto ,sempre meglio che libere everything perfect except the disassembly of the brake calipers left free attached only with the brake hoses HORRIBLE. secure them to the motorbike with clamps, always better than free

@@IdealBike It is written in Honda service manual. Page 678, part 21-6. Positiv (+) must be connected first and than negativ (-), othervise there is a chance that you may touch the frame with screwdriver and make short connection and that could result in battery explosion.
