I concur.. If you can do 2 cars, get a miata and something more practical.. if you can't do 2 cars, get one of the twins (GR86/BRZ).. I've wanted a miata for a long time and finally got one last year.. ill never not have one now.. it's pure driving therapy.. and they sound great with an aftermarket exhaust (GWR Race Exhaust for me).. Lot throatier than you'd expect, lol. Sounds like an old school British roadster, which I'm sure was the goal.. My other 'more practical' car, is a Fiesta ST, so I'm never not smiling or bombing around town lol..

Bro I have a 6 speed GT and have so much fun! It’s got nothing to do with being lazy lol I have driven manual mustangs and agree they are absolutely a blast to drive but at this point in life I really just enjoy cruising…throw in drive or sport mode and let her do what she does. Also at the end of the day, all of us who have mustangs are part of a family so let’s not throw jabs at auto drivers vs manual . There are options for everyone

@@kel50pp It's not about being able to shift fast.. it's about executing perfect shifts and perfect heel-toe downshifts while braking into a corner.. When you get it right, it's extremely rewarding.. Anything resembling a sports car or muscle car needs a manual transmission, imo (super and hyper cars are a different beast). You take away lot from the experience otherwise.. Clicking paddles to downshift is too easy to be rewarding, imo.. But, once you master your heel-toe technique, you won't want to drive anything else.. - Miata and FiST owner (owned a manual Challenger Scat Pack as well.. a better driver's car than people would think, lol.. Yeah I've heard the MT82 has issues but it feels great in the car I'm driving. Just going by personal experience but in a stock vehicle I have no complaints about the 6-speed here. I haven't even tried it , but I'm sure that I would be fine with a 10-speed dual clutch transmission . I'm not sure that the save the manuals movement is all that necessary at this point .

On *most* smaller backroads I'd rather be driving an ND MX-5 too. Love the way they feel, tossing the car around. The Mustang GT will always have a much better sound though, and the rear end is much more predictable to kick out on lower speed corners I find.

You can t always have everything you want, so I ended up selling it to CarMax and now I’m driving a ‘23 Soul Red RF GT manual Miata for fun. I drive a BMW X3 as my daily. Another Mustang makes no sense, unless I trade or sell my X3 or Miata. That ain’t happening at the moment. It’s so much fun to jump in that little Miata and toss it around with the manual. I think the mid 2020s will prove to be "peak screen". There's a growing resistance to removing all the hard switches with Tesla being the worst offender. No surprise there, Musk has nothing but contempt for anyone who dares to disagree. I understand the Euro Star rating agency will not give five stars to any vehicle that has the HVAC controls buried in the screen. This is all nothing more than cost cutting by the manufacturers, by removing physical switches, despite their attempts to market it as an improvement. It's a massive step backwards for safety and ease of use. Soon to be seen as a serious another misstep by the automotive industry IMHO.

How does one supposed to drive properly with that sudden change? My idea is to bridge the gap between the two, or an interim/Stop-gap, at least
