Thanks for the walk-around. How is the exhaust brake performance? Do you tow with this truck and how much weight? How is the ride comfort loaded and unloaded? Sorry if you answered these questions already or in another video. Thanks for your response.

I do hate is the shifter blocks your view of the screen. It's hard to see the lower left corner of the screen and I find myself looking around it a lot when in drive!

It's annoying, but the rest of the truck makes up!

I said the same as I feel the a/c vents could have been moved under the infotainment screen to move it upward. Then the shift wouldn't be in the way. Also I agree with the upper glove box, my ram had where it gradually open. Also with auto high beam, I wish the driving lights could operate with them as in go off and on automatically with auto high beam. If using the driving lights, it should work in conjunction with the auto highs. The sun roof could be made into a panoramic one. The full size SUVs have them and based off the trucks. Also I feel they could have added more speakers, especially with no panoramic sun roof. Just my rant. 1 more thing, GM give more information in the cluster. Boost, transmission gear, and exhaust brake information while towing.

Yeah, like you said; not big things, but on that trim level you'd expect more, especially the glove box door, it should be 'soft opening'.

Yep I got mine last month and I absolutely hate the gear shift in the way of the screen I feel like it could be a recall at some point as a safety issue while driving.

Good review brah! Yup speaking for myself 1- yes, gear shift blocking screen. Should've been designed like the C8 screen up top and vents at bottom 2-no floor lighting 3-no on & off light switch inside bed 4- seats are hard when driving a couple of hours when towing Not even worth $95k

I cannot get over how a $108k truck that HAD TO HAVE a column shifter, has it so it blocks the screen while its in drive. What the hell were they thinking?

I love my SRW 3500 Ultimate also, but I really don’t care about the electric tilt/column adjust… it does bug me they have a blank button/switch

You bought it at Laura gmc in Illinois,my question is on all 1500 24’ Sierra denalis they give a “Laura “ discount averaging 6000 off sticker everyone qualifies for that it’s a bit less than gm discount…. You got only 2500 off sticker on this 2500…is there no automatic discount on 2500’s and up? That Laura discount on the 1500’s is basically “invoice” pricing

The HD trucks are different. The 2500 and 3500 trucks are a refresh for 2024 and no GM discounts yet. It's verry hard to find one at MSRP let alone under, especially in the Ultimate trim. The half tons have been out for a while and there are plenty in inventory.

I would argue your turbo gmc leather seats are more comfortable? I love the GMT800 seats!

GMT 800 seats like sitting in your Livingroom for sure, the 2024 Ultimate seats seem to be upgraded over the 2023 seats though. I don't have a problem with them, especially with the cooled messaging seats!

This is a HD, they all have column shift. The half tons have console shift, but not the HD trucks.

The column shifter gets in the way and there’s cheap plastic still in some areas you’d never see in a limited ram

They all have there low points, I still like the column shifter. Ram has it's own set of problems!

I never had any issues w my 21 2500 mega cab limited or power wagon or 1500 and they were all nicer inside minus a couple features, but i don’t keep my shit past 30-40k miles before I’m into something else so i don’t give them time to f up 😂

@snakegs4203 To each his own, I'm not a fan of the upright screen in the Rams. The 2024 is a huge upgrade from the 2023 truck interior. The materials, especially in the Ultimate, are really good. I've been in the Rams, and I'd say the Ultimate is nicer. It all depends on what you like, though.

@@slow_restoration not really. Material and function aren’t subjective. I love my new ultimate a lot. But I’m telling you, ram is going to blow the ultimate out of the water when they do their full refresh in 2025. For now the ultimate is definitely on top but still has some cheap touches ie. Steering wheel, plastic on center console and dash still even on top trim. Ultimate wins for now. Bout to put a suspension upgrade on it and it’ll drive like my ram did w the Carli set up. Bc as is, ram even offered a smoother ride w the ram air than Denali ultimate. But man this new engine is 🔥

Love the interior but prefer the exterior of the at4 and that’s what would sway me to the at4

Just picked up 2024 3500 ultimate, Gear shift blocks the view of the screen , very annoying. Not a slight issue. Should have purchased another F350

I like it, vast interior upgrade from before. Why GM still has a column shifter in 2024 is mind numbing.

@@slow_restoration Column shifter feels so flimsy, they all do. Console shifters just have that SOLID feeling like its not gonna break or wear loose at all.

Such a small thing not a big deal at all. Set it once how you like it and leave it.

Why am I just seeing this now I haggled down to only $4,000 over MSRP, I thought I was getting a good deal.... This dealer in Illinois is closer to me as well....

My 3500 ultimate is at the dealership with issues. I have 1500 miles on it. 2 tires replaced at 1000 miles, vibrating again. iPhone hooks up with truck sometimes, twice it deleted me. BUT I also have a 24 GMC, SLE that has the same phone issues. Google operating system has issues with apple. My 21 GMC SLE also has phone issues, I even upgraded to a 13 pro iPhone. I have $231,000.00 worth of GMC that irritate the shit out of me.

Shifter is blocking view of screen!!!😂😂😂 fail! Maybe you could drive around in park?😂

I wish I could afford this truck. Let me take that back, I could afford it, but holly molly almost a 100k truck. It’s beautiful though for sure!!! Prob wait 2 years and get one at half the price. 😂 kidding

Man I spent 100K and this truck is too shiny. No that’s not it, it’s too quiet, no wait it’s too comfortable. I know I need a minivan that would fix everything. With ear plugs and built in vacuum.

Yea. That's the difference between gmc and foreign cars of comparable prices. Unnecessary fan noise and poor ergonomic with things obstructing your view of critica info. It is good you can tilt the steering wheel down. It is too bad you don't have a button to move the steering wheel to the side. Stop saying "nit picky" and being apologetic for GM's failure. They need to be fully aware of their design failure. Otherwise, they will never improve.

Would be nice to see something similar to the ambient lighting from the Mercedes or Audi line.

It is just AMAZING to me that no one at GM noticed the shifter. Major FAIL! Also, at this price to not give options is just ignorant. No matter what color exterior YOU MUST HAVE ALPINE UMBER! What? Maybe I want black, or grey, or beige... Also limited on wheel and tire choices. When one builds a Denali Ultimate, one should get more top options. NOT LESS!
