    Definitely looking forward to the wiring of the car videos. As someone who isn't to that level yet, I'm still wiring my own. Starting on mine in just a couple of weeks. Hopefully I learn a little something from you before I get to mine.

    3:22 congratulations you’ve made it to the final fan. It’s a beast. My car NEVER goes over 181 with that fan and not as much airflow direction/diversion of air as you have.

    in testing this thing is a beast, it draws alot of amperage but moves an incredible amount of air according to my annomometer

    Devin, how well did the straight-gate set up work for you during Sick Week??? Any issues to be aware of? Considering running just a straight gate set up vice wastegates in a new build underway.

    I’m surprised you have the turbo inlets so low with the track temperature higher than ambient air tempo you’ll be pulling in hotter air, that’s one problem that prostock had when they went from big forward facing hood scooped to the efi motors with low mount air intakes

    I’m concerned about excess oil to the turbos with them down low like that. Have seen other racers try them down low like this and ended up moving them back up after trying restrictors and even a scavenge pump without success.

    @jasonbrinegar67597 ай бұрын

    Devin, if I could make a suggestion. Thicken up the leading edge of the splitter to 1/2'' the current knife edge will create unwanted turbulence and you may not get the most efficient air forced into your bumper openings. ideally the splitter should also run back under the nose some as well, if possible maybe stop it at the leading edge of your catch pan? This will really clean up the air in front of the car and aid in making downforce.

    the splitter is 3/8th thick everywhere. it goes under the car about 8 inches behind the bumper where it runs into the belly pans

    @theholleyefiguy oh okay, nice! Guess I should've paid closer attention to the video. It appeared to be a little thin mold pull lip most companies pass off as a splitter.

    in my opinion the hpt line up is top shelf. Fis makes badass turbos, i ran their 118 for a long time and sell alot of their turbos to customers, for my application i felt like these were the perfect choice

    This is cool. Is the straight gate a little rough on the turbo since they don’t really reduce shaft speed or exhaust through the turbine ?

  • @Turbochargedtwelve

    @Turbochargedtwelve

    7 ай бұрын

    They will reduce shaft speed. More compressor flow demands more power with finite exhaust flow(turbine power) shaft speed will decrease.

  • @lukk4273

    Would this also drive turbine back pressure up at the same time? I could see it being usfull to eliminate compressor surge.
