The railway sector is likely to see higher capital allocation in the Union Budget 2024-25 as well with the government’s focus on revamping the railway assets and development of infrastructure.
The Railway Ministry was allocated a record Rs 2,40,000 crore in budgetary support in the Union Budget 2023-24. The all-time high allocation, which was nearly nine times compared to the allocations made in 2013, has given a push to railway infrastructure in the country this year. A massive Rs 1.85 lakh crore had been allocated for capital expenditure in the current fiscal.
The Indian Railway Network is a key component of the Country’s Transport System. Transporting goods and passengers on a massive scale, the Indian Railways plays a critical role in India’s economic as well as social fabric, not to mention the security and cross-border strategic linkages.
Indian Railways needs to form a concrete plan about its doings in the coming 10-20 years. Therefore, pragmatic development of Indian Railway Network as part of the country’s overall multi-modal transport system is very important.

Indian Railway focusing on luxury trains is fine and Better but when they see common problems below points. Time Table (Mostly Delayed in every weather and worst condition in Fog Weather) Ticket Management System ( Mostly Automatic Ticket Machine Not Working) Same Facility for General Class (2S) people. Good Food Quality in Pantry as well as Railway Platform. Management of Ticket Waiting in Railway. Notification System on Mobile if the train is delayed, Huge Crowd travel in every class.

Delhi-Howrah and Delhi- Mumbai is most busiest route . It's obvious as entire track goes through the region of high population density. Specially in Delhi-Howrah route Uttar pradesh and Bihar are highest populated. This is the reason of train late.
